Charles had crashed the bus, and it was now lying sideways. Jim was conscious, but he couldn't move, couldn't feel a thing. It might be the shock of the crash, but he had to get out of there before the Charles got crazy ideas. He heard a man talk, a different voice than the driver's.

"Hey! Over here! Help!" Jim tried his best to yell.

If you wanna meet up with survivors, that's your best bet. Maybe you can make rattlesnakes appear there or something.

Ellis was having fun talking to Marie. When she started laughing, it just drowned out everything else, and he just snapped back to reality when she said that the conversation was weird.
"Yes. Yes it is. I sure could use something to drink right now. Wouldn't you like some magical milkshakes or something?" He said, trying to make it less awkward. He failed. He was now comfortable around her though, and he wasn't shy at all. He summoned Mister to his lap, and let him play there, even if he wasn't tangible yet. "So..." Ellis said, wanting to know more about her, but not able to think of anything to say.

"I see.. true, a rattlesnake could probably appear on my lap. But what events led that to happen? Does your power, like, reach back to the past, and then affect the probability of someone bringing in a toothless, non-venomous rattlesnake? It's making my head hurt, haha..." he said, babbling on about his understanding of her power. And then he remembered what she said she could do. "Yeah... getting the girl would be good, for once." He said, looking out the window.

He looked at her and said, "Also, please don't kill me.", then laughing a bit.

Ellis always liked the look on people's faces whenever he showed them his tricks, but Marie's reaction was one of the best. It just showed amusement, and that made him happy. "that is quite the skill." she said, and he nodded, waiting for her to show hers.

He wasn't disappointed. Suddenly, a snake and a 20 dollar bill appeared on his lap. The moment he saw it, he instantly conjured black discs over the rattlesnake's eyes. At least that's what he could do. He didn't want to conjure an eagle to scare the snake off. Someone else might get hurt. Marie assured him that the snake was harmless, and he just had to wonder. If her power was luck, then it was very potent. He still couldn't understand completely though, so he asked.

"That, is freaking awesome. I'm keeping this, by the way." Ellis said, grabbing the money. "I don't understand it all, though, Marie. Maybe you can teach me more about your power, and I'll teach you about mine as well?" he said, having made a friend and wanting to continue it.
