Alexander nodded "thanks" before running through the portal "hey Amber, you okay? I saw you ship crash,
and I wasn't sure if you were in one piece or not." It was then that he noticed Penny "Oh? Penny's here too? That's odd, I didn't know you two knew each other. Anyway, what happened?"

That's a rather dangerous mindset, you should be careful.
Few things bring people that hate each other together in harmony like mutual hatred of someone else.

One the one hand, this was great news! The only person that Alexander could think of who could send them to Justine's place was perfectly willing to do so. While he wasn't completely if Mariette could be trusted, he did trust that she was telling the truth. If there was one thing he had learned in his time at the orphanage, it was that few things could bring people together like mutual hatred of someone else. He didn't doubt that as far as this battle was concerned, Mariette was on his side.
So that meant that he had a way there, which was wonderful. Since that had been the only thing keeping him from launching an attack. However, Amber was currently under attack too. And as much as he wanted to just have Mariette open up a portal for him so he could storm Justine's place and most likely die horribly (fuck. What was wrong with him?), he knew he had to make sure Amber wasn't dead.
"Well fuck. I need to go make sure she's alive" Turning to Mariette, he then asked "I don't suppose you'd be willing to open a portal there for me, would you?" he didn't like asking her for more help, but dammit he didn't have time!
That's fine, I think we're all used to this pace by now.
This might not be the best time to ask; but what kind of person was Minnie before Justine got ahold of her?

Alexander scoffed "yeah, but I plan on fixing that." His body was starting to recover from being pushed so far, with a little help from his healing magic. As much as he complained about it before, he starting to like his magic. "I need to get to the Overcity and wreck the shit of this Justine broad. I realize that this is probably a suicide mission, but for some ungodly reason, I don't care. I don't understand why...but I just have to save Lily, or die trying. And that is a concept that is pretty fucking alien to me, so for all I know I melted by brain, when I pushed myself so far in that last fight." He shook his head "anyway; I know you don't want anything to do with this. After all; Lily tried to convince you and failed, and I'm shit at dealing with people. But if you know anyone who is both willing and able to open a portal to the Overcity...well, it'd mean a lot to me if you pointed me in their direction."

How would Alex react if some dickhead assassin chick came up and carved her initials into his wall? Unlikely to happen, given her personality, but hypothetical scenarios are always nice to imagine.
Not well, for a few reasons;
First is that he hates it when people damage his stuff. And carving anything into his walls in damage in his mind. And second is that he has so many protective enchantments on his house, that someone has to be pretty powerful to carve anything into it.
Alexander will essentially interpret that as a declaration of war.
Well I doubt he'd be in the market for a new waifu if Lily dies. But if he (and by extension, I) absolutely had to choose, I think I'd say Amber. If only because he's had positive social interaction with her, and doesn't really have any problems with her (now that I think about it; he could use his Blessing and Clergy Patron Benefits to turn Amber's ship into a flying super fortress, that also soothes the injuries of those on it). Alexander isn't very social by nature, you kind of have to jump kick your way into his life, kind of like how Lily did.
Also, this seems like a good time to mention it (since it never came up naturally); Alexander use his Blessing and Clergy Patron Benefits as much as possible on his house. As it stands, it could tank a fleet of bombers unleashing their payload right on top of it without so much as a scratch. It also slowly heals everyone inside of it. You know in some video games, those rooms inside of dangerous places where you're completely safe and can rest up in peace? That's pretty much what Alexander turned his house into.
