Kafka, right? I've wanted to read that for a very long time - I watched a speechless dance-theatre version of it done by the Royal Opera House here in the UK, and it was just incredible. During a literature discussion today

I can imagine how awkward it must have been.

I'm also just not as much a fan of that kind of poetry. Literature usually doesn't make me feel, it only makes me think. Living in the modern day, I know slavery to be awful; it doesn't require much thinking. I will say, though, that Frederick Douglass is awesome.
