Hey there! I'm a roleplayer (21+) from Europe (GMT+1) and have been roleplaying for several years. My favorite genre is fantasy, but I'm also open to many other things. Just sci-fi and futuristic stuff is not so much my thing.
It was a normal fall day it seemed. Leaves in all various shades of gold, brown, orange and red were falling from the trees when a cool breeze blew through the air, catching some of said leaves to whirl them around and let them dance with each other. People in the streets were following up on their usual business, some on their way to work, others sweeping the cobblestone road in front of their houses. Others were standing around and talking to each other, and yet others were about to head to the market to buy or sell goods.
For most of them it was a day like every other day. Not for Naomi, though. The wind blew some strands of golden hair in the angel's face, right after she had arrived in the small town of Holsworthy, emerald green eyes scanning the area as she stood right next to a well that was dry around this time of the year. Her boss had sent her to the human world for a new job. She was supposed to find a human man to keep him out of trouble. A task to prove to the higher ups, the Archangels and alike, that she was good enough to be a Guardian Angel, a job she had applied for a few weeks ago.
The problem was, the man she had to protect used to get into trouble a lot. He was a criminal. A guy who stole from people, betrayed them, lied to them, hurt them if he had to, and often enough got into fights when he either had to protect himself or had to fight people off who were in his way. It was a dangerous life he led, and Naomi's task was not only to protect him, but also to teach him that there were better ways to earn money, other than commiting crimes over and over again.
She was told he lived in a house not far from the well. A small, simple, old house. Unremarkable between all the other houses in Holsworthy, where each building looked similar to the next one. Trevor was his name. A tall man with almost black hair and dark eyes, broad shoulders and a well-toned chest, small scars across his face, usually dressed in black clothes. While the much smaller, slender angel made her way down the road to find the house she was looking for, her eyes roamed around, glancing at the passersby, studying each face quickly in case the person she was looking for was among them, but no one fitted the description and the image of Trevor she had seen.
Naomi's heart was racing in her chest, her nervousness growing with each step she made towards her goal, making her mouth dry and a lump forming in her throat. Would she be able to fulfill her mission to her boss's satisfaction? What would happen to her if she didn't make it? She so badly wanted to become a Guardian Angel. It had always been her biggest wish. For more than 200 years she had been dreaming of it each and every day. Like human females dreamed of becoming princesses, she had always wanted to be a great Guardian Angel with big, fluffy wings made of beautiful white feathers. Now, finally, her dream might become true.
After a few minutes of walking, she spotted the place she had been searching for. Trevor's house. Stopping right in front of it, she gulped to get rid of the lump in her throat while she extended her pale-skinned arm, her small fist knocking on the wooden door, waiting for a response.
