While I'm thinking about it, I just want to openly apologize to anyone I've ghosted in the past if you're still active on the site. I know some people don't care, but I am sorry, fam.

Advanced RPs are usually way slower than casual ones, if that's a concern for you, casual regardless of post length is a good spot for you for sure! That's what I've noticed anyway.

Bio

how to be dynamo frokane: a guide.
step 1; randomly tag people and bait them into arguing
step 2; once someone takes the bait, make a poorly made observation about them
step 3; never stop repeating this observation
step 4; ignore any valid points they make, because losing against people who have more brain cells than you have chromosomes is for losers.
step 5; rinse and repeat daily
bonus step; if they start to ignore you, constantly tag them in the hopes they'll give your attention whoring ass some more of that loving attention.

@ViolentViolet Yeah, I'm one of those people that didn't really discriminate on who I chose to hang out with as long as they were nice to me. Being bullied makes you not as picky gender-wise when you're looking for friends, I've found. I tend to mostly hang out with guys online, finding girls somewhat more bitchy on the internet than the ones I dealt with in real life. I maybe have two or three girls I actually enjoy talking to outside of this site.

Looking back, I guess I should have been a little more choosy. Hindsight is twenty-twenty after all.
@Kohai Basically what this site is for is to bring together people who like to write collaborative stories together. Since you already RP with your friend, I'm sure you know what that means. The only differences between this site and a chatzy RP is that it's not in real time, and there are a plethora of RP's going on at any one time. Here you can make a thread in your preferred level (Free for jump-in RP's that don't require character sheets, Casual for those RP's that do require a character sheet, as well as slightly more depth and/or length to posts, and Advanced which requires character sheets and a lot of depth and/or length to posts as well as to characters.)

If you don't understand what most of that is, feel free to ask questions, I'm sure people would be willing to help you out by answering them!

Also, welcome to the Guild!
@ViolentViolet I never had that problem with the guys I hung out with because both they, and their girlfriends (if they had them) were my friends. The guys I hung out with saw me more as sister, which I was cool with because it meant we could talk about stuff that they would otherwise feel uncomfortable with.

The girls I hung out with, though, they were pretty normal in terms of how they tended to be. There was a lot of gossip, bullshitting, and whatnot. Most of them were pretty cool, allbeit hard to deal with at times. Two of them have a child by the same dad, which I find slightly amusing.
@ViolentViolet All of the friends I had pretty much ditched me once we had graduated high school. Only one that came looking for me was Arista.

Also, just to clarify the reason we call each other sister is because we've known each other for nearly 10 years. We're more family than friends at this point.
Yeah I know that we can play around with the current day time but not everything can happen in the same day. My point is what Fallen said, making a graph of all the thing that have happened to Hazumi thus far makes the day seem ridiculously long and busy. Example: Hazumi's attended a ball, met with Aaurus, met with Szayeis, met with Ian and slept all in the span of less than 24 hours.

Meanwhile some things like relationships take longer to bud and can't all happen in the span of 3 days.
The reason why I'd prefer a RT limit over an outright timeskip is because we can still add events in the first system. If we do a timeskip of a week its assuming nothing happened (unless we narrate) while with time limits we can still post if we want to or sit it out if we don't. For example, two characters are hooking up but haven't seen each other in a week. The players sit it out and don't post for 1-2 weeks. Meanwhile someone is kidnapped and the players involved post 3 collabs in that week. Do you get my drift?

Not really, I'll have someone explain it to me later. As to the point about the ball--which happened on a different day--and whatnot. It's normal for people to have a bunch of meetings in a day, especially someone like Hazumi. It makes sense to me that it would feel like her day is dragging on. Plus, it's like day three and not that much has happened in terms of big shifts so I'm pretty content considering S1 only lasted 4 IC Days, I'd be pretty upset if that was the case here. I don't mind the 1 week time skips save for the fact it would make more work out of this than is really necessary.
@Trinais I dunno I never took my stories very seriously. They were my way of dealing with stress and bullying, almost like a journal I guess. A journal of worlds I wished existed.

@ViolentViolet I didn't have any friends that didn't write in some manner. Be it stories, or poetry. I was both lucky and unlucky in that respect I imagine.
@ViolentViolet It took a few years, but I learned not to show stories to people.
@ViolentViolet Yeah. I can definitely understand that. I used to try and help my friends with their writing by showing them how I would do it, and they would just steal it. My characters, my worlds, my species, all with only minor name differences. It's obnoxious.

M'kay, I'll see what I can do. I don't know how well this'll go xD not sure I'm the best teacher.

EDIT: I'm heading to bed g'night!
@ViolentViolet >: -hugs- That's horrendous! Jeez. Were you guys friends prior to that, or no?

Do you have any ideas on a good way to teach someone how to be mindful of something like tense shifts?

@ViolentViolet Oh wow, that's horrible! At least on this site you can always remove their power if they're getting trippy (they get a badge next to their name which you can remove if you remove them from the GM list at the top). It's always good to make sure you and your co-GM's have guidelines that you all follow, and that you're all on the same page. I know from personal experience running an RP alone can sometimes be more disheartening and overwhelming than just removing power from people who don't deserve it.

TL;DR: There should be checks and balances.
