I may be interested if its anything like WIR

It's going to be far more casual than WiR however I will still be aiming for decent sized IC posts and player interaction in diplomacy and war. I may also add war orders for convenience. In addition, this RP won't have 'simple algebra'.
Funny, I just started a cold-war era spy rp a couple days ago!

I might not have time to join this but if I wanted to jump in later would you allow it?

Yea no problem! I mean, the nation would have to still exist IC depending on how late you plan on joining though.
Glad to see both of you in the fold!

Also completely unabashed bump.

Welcome to Twilight Struggle: A Cold Affair! In this Semi-Advanced Roleplay you, the player, will be taking the reigns of a nation during the turbulent years of the 1970s. Ten years prior the Berlin Wall rose and further divided the world into the East and the West, now unrest in Eastern Europe and the turmoil in Vietnam brings the world's new alliances of The Warsaw Pact and NATO into conflict over the continued spread of 'The Red Menace'. Will you be able to keep world peace, or under your reign will your nation face the darkness of a third Great War... Welcome, to the Twilight Struggle.

Twilight Struggle is in early development. I have yet to properly plan out how exactly nations will do combat, or how 'casual' this Roleplay will be. That is why this Interest Check is coming up. Firstly, I'd like to see who'd be interested in a espionage ridden game of cat and mouse. Secondly, I'd like your input as to how Twilight Struggle can become the next major NRP to grace the board. Once we have achieved these basic goals, I will be writting up a main thread, getting application formats out, and allowing players to decide which nations they will play. So, if you are interested, pop a comment below and show some love for our inevitable decline into the nuclear apocalypse!
For now I'll have to take my hand out of playing, however I will be watching this WiR progress. I will admit, I am highly skeptical of the choices the GM(s) have made but, regardless, wish this little shin-dig the best. God knows we need more WiRs on this forum.
The original WiRs had one GM and all you had to do was send in an attack order giving a brief summary of your actions. Now, with 3 GMs, we have to number-plug for 10 minutes and look at a map to plan out how the armies will march, and then we have to write a paragraph + depicting how the planned combat would play out.

EDITOR'S NOTE/PRO MLG TIP
If you want to still keep a more 'advanced' system you could have people send in orders and then separate attack orders that go into more detail depicting how they would like to go through combat, and have them do rolls for said objectives and supply, etc.
You missed the 'player' part of that. Maybe I'm just lazy, but having to write a long formatted wall of text to do battles is incredibly tedious.
>Implying this is more reasonable and easier for both the GM and the player to do these walls of text in order to do battles.
>Mfw

If you all are confused as to how you want it to run. Go look at the Paradox Forums WiRs... Those are, of course, the most successful.
To be fair WiR on these forums has a tendency to die due to GM's being overwhelmed by the amount of stuff they have to do. I am, in many ways, the father of doing that.

However if you all need a player I'd gladly play a WiR for once.
