Name: Daniel Heart (prefers his alias over his actual name, if his name is known by other people)
Gender: Male
Age: 28
Appearance: Blue eyes, an icy blue skin-tone with black-ish fingers & toes. When wearing his battle-armour, he weighs about the same as a full grown horse.
Total Battle-Armour Height: 7' 3"
Actual + Life Suit Height: 6' 1"
Personality: Cold, blunt, calculating, to the point and uncaring about people and their well being if the person is of little consequence to himself. Can have lethal reactions to annoyances. Can be highly inpatient or bored when in a conversation.
Skills: Weapon knowledge, general understanding of cryogenics, minor medical understanding, military training. Plays a good 'bad-cop' in interrogation situations.
Weaknesses: Not a people person, views allies as assets to further his own goals. Had an allergy of peanuts, however, he's never tested if he still has this allergy after his accident.
Daniel had always been a small time mercenary, working for a private military here, a mad-man there. This changed, however, when one of his contracts had him, and a small team, infiltrate a science lab. The employer, a scientist named Heather Cold, wanted a series of files and documents retrieved from a rival research group before finally destroying the facility. Daniel, known as Ridicule at that time in the 'business', was a well trained close-combat expert and helped with the recovery of the files. As they entered the facility, it quickly became apparent that this R&D lab was being used to experiment new types of bio-weapons and chemicals on unfortunate test-subjects. The small team managed to plant the bombs and find the files needed, however, they were soon discovered and it became a blood-bath as they made their way for an exit. They were battling through a cryo-pod storage room when a pipe, shot by stray weapons-fire, drenched Daniel in a florescent blue liquid. Daniel shook it off at first but within minutes his body started to feel weak and cold. By the time they got out, Daniel was being carried by one of his fellows. After the destruction of the base, the group gave Dr. Cold the info she wanted, as well as to receive their pay.
When Dr. Cold saw Daniel, who's skin seemed to be turning blue, she offered him medical care until he recovered, at a small cost to his pay. Daniel agreed and through his time there, it became apparent that the fluid that drenched him had been absorbed into his body. Dr. Cold then offered to try to make a cure for him, in return he'd work for her and her operations for a time. Daniel agreed again, learning what he could about cryogenics in a specialized heating room while Dr. Cold aimed to make him a specialized suit to keep him alive. She had developed a drug that, she said, helped with the feeling of freezing all the time, which Daniel gladly accepted. An unknown side-affect, however, was that it seemed to diminish his personality, from a chippy, wise-cracking merc to a solid, serious man with little interest in words. During this time, Dr. Cold and Daniel's relationship started to grow. He was more willing to ask for less money as well as help her in anyway to try and find a cure. After finally convincing her, Dr. Cold had a battle suit developed for Daniel so that he can help retrieve the resources and info that other scientists seemed to have. He did this for 3 years.
On one mission, Daniel forgot to take his drug and started to feel the effects of the feeling of being cold again. Upon returning to base, Dr. Cold gave him an order that he would normally comply with without question, yet this time he quietly complained to himself about doing said task. This made Daniel question what he was starting to feel, at first thinking it was simply because he always felt cold but more and more things started not to make sense. Why was he doing all this work for free? He's nearly died about 3 times? He also started to notice the affection he felt for Dr. Cold fade as well. Daniel eventually came to realize that the drug she had given him didn't simply deal with the constant cold that ebbed its way throughout his entire body, but in fact some kind of mind-control drug. As he was about to confront her about this, it seemed she found out that he wasn't taking the drug anymore and bolted, leaving only a group of mercs behind to make sure he didn't survive.
After dealing with the mercs, Daniel captured a few of the unfortunate scientists who didn't escape and forced them to repair his broken equipment and show him how to as well. Daniel also tried to access his funds, only to find out that Dr. Cold had also gotten access to them and removed any access he had. The reality of the lie he had been living in for over 3 years finally sunk in, and that he had now lost everything, because of Dr. Cold and her greed for her own betterment. Daniel came to realize he had died all those years ago, when the moment that drug was put into him, when she played him like a fiddle. From that moment on, Daniel stopped existing and Frostbite was born, a being who's only feeling of warmth is a fire called vengeance.
After a year of searching for her, Frostbite believes he found Dr. Cold hiding in the city known as Millennia City. Since he can't support himself and doesn't want to draw too much negative attention from local law-enforcement, Frostbite will have to play the part of a 'hero' in order to perform his search with the minutest difficulty possible.
Relationship: Single
Alignment: Neutral Evil - While a man of his word, Frostbite is ultimately out for himself. He'll keep his 'friends' alive if he considers them useful to his goals or if he's given them a promise of sorts. While he won't simply kill for the sake of it, he won't hesitate to do so if killing said person is more of a benefit then a downside.
Alias: Frostbite
Origin of Powers: A mission with one of his previous contracts didn't go as planned, causing Frostbite to be doused in an experimental chemical. Dr. Cold had her science team do their best in keeping him alive as well as trying out different experiments and pieces of experimental technology. The science team had created him a specialized 'bed' for him to rest in as well as two suits, a 'life' suit and his battle-armour. The 'life' suit is worn at all times other than sleep, even within his battle-armour. His battle-armour is the most intimidating part about him, making him a foot or so taller than most opponents. He's also armed with a unique 'freeze gun', making it his most iconic piece of equipment, this large pistol is hooked up to his battle-armour and can't be used without it.
- Battle-Armour: This suit doesn't simply keep Frostbite alive in combat and dangerous environments, it also increases his strength similar to that of power-armor. It also is partially bullet-proof, dealing with some firearms like pistols or low-caliber rifles. The suit also has a HUD within its goggles for Frostbite to access at any time, this HUD displays his variety of vital-signs as well as general temperatures in the surrounding area. It also has activate-able thermal-vision with these goggles. However, when not using the thermal-vision, the world has a heavy red tint to the viewer. Disadvantage with this armour is that Frostbite is lowed by it, he can run but that takes some start up time as well as slow down time when he's wanting to come to a stop, this normally results with him walking everywhere. The suit filters the air around it, taking in as much oxygen inside itself for Frostbite to breath while keeping any dangerous gases and liquids. When wearing this armour, Frostbite's Life Suit's oxygen supply will multiply by 2 but make it a few hours more capable to live if he does run out of his high-oxygen supply. At maximum power, it can last for 3 days straight. After fully drained of power, it takes 16 hours to recharge. Usually recharged every night when Frostbite goes to sleep.
- Life Suit: This suit is the only reason Frostbite is still alive. It gives him the much needed high-oxygen air as well as keeping his body warm enough from shutting down and freezing. When outside of his battle-armour, Frostbite's Life Suit has a limited supply of oxygen within it, normally in water form before the suit boils it and removes the hydrogen. This supply could last for 24 hours before needing to be refilled.
- Freeze Gun: His iconic weapon, which has three fire-modes. The first makes the weapon capable of firing weak ice shards at a rapid-fire rate towards a target up to medium ranges. This mode allows Frostbite to suppress enemies but at the cost of making the shards simply shatter on contact, causing nothing but scrapes and bruises against bare skin. The second mode being a more concentrated build up of ice for a single powerful ice shard, no more than one shot every 5 seconds. This shard can penetrate bullet-proof vests and other forms of light cover/protection at short to medium ranges, longer ranges usually have less lethal or heavy damage. Neither mode fires shards nearly as fast as normal bullets. The third, and most well known, fire-mode is the 'Freeze Blast/Ray' mode. This mode is limited to a 10 meter distance, freezing targets in place with surprisingly strong ice. Living beings fully 'iced' can last up to 2 hours, as the ice preserves them in a somewhat cryogenic state for a limited amount of time. Can be used for 20 minutes max before needing to warm up again or it will freeze and break, this applies for all modes.
- Heat-wave Bed: This is Frostbite's custom bed, more like a pod. When in-active it stands up vertically to a 45 degree angle, when active it is in a horizontal position. While most would be killed by the heat this pod produces, it's the warmest Frostbite can ever feel physically as well as giving a high-oxygen environment within. When in this pod, Frostbite is absolutely defenseless as he has to remove his Life Suit in order to use the bed properly, forcing him to strip down to a pair of shorts. On top of that, the moisture the develops on the glass blocks sight from within also from with-out. The 'lid' itself is simply a 7 foot long half-tube piece of 1.5 inch glass.
- Quick Thinker: Probably the only good thing his physical body gained from the accident, Frostbite can see and mentally process things 5 times faster than a normal human being. This results of this mean he sees the world at a slower rate, making conversations somewhat boring for him if they don't get to the point quickly enough.
- Adrenalin Drug: A home-made drug that Frostbite can use within his battle-armour. It forces his body into a heavy adrenalin state, making things move even slower (from his perspective) and allowing him to think faster. If used for too long or too much at a time, Frostbite will suffer fatigue and his body may start to fight against the drug. When the drug wears off, Frostbite will hardly have enough energy to continue any fight, he'll be worn-out and tired. Only ever used in the most dire situations.
- Cool Presence: Frostbite, when not in his battle-armour, gives off a kind of 'aurora' of cold. Meaning, frost develops on various items nearby as well as giving nearby persons the feeling of a cold breeze brushing through. This can come in handy when trying to slow a fire's spread down or in an interrogation. It also can be detected by thermal-vision based equipment.
- Forever Cold: The chemical Frostbite's body absorbed all those years ago is constantly trying to freeze him to death as well as making him a living Popsicle, causing him to constantly feel a chill, no matter what he does. As a result, Frostbite needs to constantly be super-heated by the use of one of his suits or his bed. Otherwise, long exposure will be lethal. This doesn't mean fire hurts him, he can still receive burns of the varying degrees as per usual. His body is also cold to the touch. Another disadvantage is that he must breath a high concentration of oxygen in order for his body to simply sustain him, a concentration that earth's natural air can't provide. While he can survive up to 30min without a breathing device, he will feel light-headed as well as feeling like he is suffocating slowly.
- Frosty Equipment: Usually has to clean out his equipment after a battle as well as repair any broken bits. Depending on damage, this can take up to a few days.
Role in the Media and Public Eye: Frostbite is partially feared by the public, as there have been rumors spreading that he tortures those he interrogates. On top of that, the media love to paint him a villain of sorts, some however believe he's not as bad as he seems. Frostbite ultimately cares little about these opinions.

OOC note, or more of a personal request to everyone, can swearing be kept down to a minimum in the RP? I'm not saying don't have your char swear, just don't type the actual words used. I ask this because the internet I have access to blocks access to specific web-pages with 'too much weighted phrases'. I hope that's not too much to ask.
