@Chenzor So this turn can I start more things or am I stuck just waiting for the scouts to come back and fishing stuf to be built?
Aye, you can take another action every turn unless specifically told otherwise!
<Snipped quote by Voltus_Ventus>
Ah yes things I don't understand, like the Recreation center my AP testing will be hosted at being used by a hate group and then said hate group being attacked. I guess you wouldn't know this but the terror attack happened literally 3 minutes from where I live. But yeah you're right, I don't understand the extremely close attack that left a member of my community wounded and two radicals dead. Nope, totally ignorant, have no clue what I'm talking about.
Let's try not to fire the OOC up with debates like these. No harm done yet but things like these easily fire up badly.
My graphics card died so Chenaor if you could put me on auto-play until my computer is fixed that'd be great.
Roger that!
Good to hear from the front of that mountain, @Chenzor but what is your ruling on my post during Turn 4 (Page 3, third from the bottom)? It isn't a pressing matter, but I would like to know if it was a rousing success or a spectacular flop.
Ah yes, I forgot about your actual post because I was in such a hurry writing up the thing the elders were gonna find out this turn xD I'll edit post soon and let you know when it's updated.
Balon snicker, still smiling at Leo's response. "Twice, actually. And the first time i had a little help". She winked at him. "I don't count Amphis affection as an assult, even though i did smack my head a little. While amphis extreme attention is a normal occurance for me, I'm not usually such a ditz! Its not esspecially a Mere trait." "What about you? Tell me, Boloney do you go around knocking girl's shells off butt-ass naked often?" Then, she smiled, and showed off her dimples. Balon was almost knocked off his feet. What a beautiful smile... Damnit Balon snap out of it! He blinked, having not revealed his thoughts. At least that's what he thought. "Usually I don't get pounced by girls when I'm taking a relaxing bath in the hot springs, but sure, I'm totally at fault here." he rolled his eyes, grinning. "Is 'Boloney' supposed to be some sort of nickname? You can do better than that, Leo." he said, and he realized he had actually for the first time used her name. If 'Boloney' counted, she had used his name for the first time too. "What a weird thing though, at first we duke it off with swords, bashing our heads against the rocks and here we are just a moment later and I actually have no hard feelings at all."
Wasn't much else to do than unpack your things and inspect the room. The woods around the cottage seem cozy, and there are a lot of other kids to be friends with... Or enemies. Julius looked at the other three. "So, James Brightshield, was it? Quite a holy name." Julius walks up to the kid (if he wasn't busy) to offer a handshake (which he had heard is how you politely greet people in these lands). "You come from a strong family?"
@Chenzor I swear you have the weirdest hours ever!! It's like your stalking me and you wait to post RIGHT after I go to bed XD even when I stay up late!! It legit never fails!
Who says I'm not stalking you? Hue hue hue I mean...
I work 8-17, take the bus at 17:20 and arrive home at 18:00. Then it depends if I'm hungry or not I make food and eat the food until like 19:00, then I may or may not take a shower, etc. So posting is usually between 19:00 and 22:00. It's 18:54 atm and I'm making dinner AND I just took a shower, so I've been quicker today!
Ultor begins the journey to the mountain peak with enough supplies and tools... At least whatever you can spare, for most the tools (while in good shape) are used in the construction of the city, the carving of the mountain. Both of these actions, the ascension of the mountain and the construction of Hazan-Khar will take several turns to complete.
Scouts have seen lights in the mountains surrounding this one during the night. By daytime, all seen of the mountains are various grottos and nothing to represent Dwarven architecture... There are four major mountains in the region. To the north your scouts encounter what seem to be tribal effigies decorating the rocks and caves. Animal-skulls on sticks, cloth with red-painted symbols hanging as tribal banners and rocks simply stacked to create walls (about 10 feet high at max). Your attention is drawn mostly to the southern mountain however, for it is the mountain that lit up the most during the night. It is decorated with many hollows, caves and grottos on it's surface, and your explorers venture into them to find... Well, whatever they're hoping to find.
Results of your expedition will come next turn. Ultor ascending the mountain: Turn 1 of 3. Construction of Hazan-Khar city: Turn 1 of 7.

A mighty, giant and powerful being has appeared before you. He claimed a sacrifice to let the tribe live, and left without a trace. With the mighty diety still on your minds however, Uroth has left to find it.
After many days and nights, Uroth faced starvation on the fields. The temperature was much lower here than in their jungle, and he was all alone. He sank to his knees, hope almost gone of finding the diety named Tak every again... But then suddenly, there he was. With a crash, the giant reptile stood before him, staring at him. Uroth froze, still on his knees, looking up at the creature... Both in awe and fear.
Tak's mouth did not move, yet he spoke. Uroth could hear words in his mind. "You have shown great resilience." the mighty beast spoke. "But why have you abandoned your people to find me?" he tilted his mighty head, leaning in closer to Uroth. His teeth flashed and dripped of saliva, as if to swallow Uroth whole. Uroth rose to kneel on one knee. "Mighty Tak! I ask for your blessing! Grant my people the power to survive in this world, and we will woship you!" he yelled out to the reptile God.
"Intruiging." Tak spoke again, and stood up straight. He towered above the tallest trees, and the wind raged as he wagged his mighty tail. The mighty beast was thinking... Perhaps these Saurians could be of use to him. Their worship would empower him, and he could claim sacrefices. He would grow as a diety, and take his place as the Savage God among the pantheon... But then he must nurture these Saurians. Like they were his own children... Which they very well may be.
"Very well." Tak's voice boomed, still in Uroth's mind. "You will worship me and I will claim sacrifices from your people. You will spill your blood for me, go to war should I wish it, give yourselves entirely up to my will... Then, I will grant you my blessing, and power beyond your wildest dreams. Your scales would be impenetrable, your claws sharp as swords, your petty magic-less race would gain magical powers at last, and destroy all those who oppose the Savage God, TAK!"
The beast roared, shaking the ground and ripping trees from their roots from the shockwave... However Uroth was unharmed. He felt a power unlike anything he had ever felt before. "You shall be the prophet of my pressence in this realm. I grand you power so that you may convince your puny race the awe that is Tak." Uroth had been empowered by Tak's magic. He had become the first Dragon Disciple.
[Your people has not yet learned magic, but Uroth has grown incredibly strong and can resist magic very effectively. In time, he will learn to wield it and from there on he may teach your people to wield magic as well. First, Uroth must return home however and tell his people of Tak, the Savage God.]

After the loss of about 12-20 goblins (you are terrible at counting), some goblins finally manage to calm the Byters as they ride them. It will take you a while to learn how to ride these around, but certainly your future looks bright! ...Unless everyone dies from a Byter revolt, but eh what's the chance of that really.

Your elders have reached a conclusion! Those who grew weak from the pressence of the mountain soon find themself in good health again, and the Elders detect magical potential within them. They are physically weaker than their brethren but could be taught how to wield magic, as you once did long ago. Those who grew empowered from the mountain however seem to instead lose the magical potential they had, if they had any. Instead, they are physically stronger than their brethren and can endure higher amounts of pain. These begin priding themselves in their strength and soon, both kinds of empowered begin worshipping the mountain. Surely, it must be blessed by your god!

A group travels north to see what cause the campfires and smoke in the horizon, and if possible interact with them. While they're gone, the rest of you start partying like it's 1969! Slowly you begin developing pagan beliefs and grow a close connection to the earth. Perhaps this will become something greater one day?

After your defeat, you lay low in your mountains and hope for everything you're worth that the prisoners that were taken aren't going to be tortured to reveal the location of your village. You set out to find whatever food you can, and when journeying south you find a pack of goat grazing the grounds peacefully. Your orcs stalk up to the herd and prepare to strike, when suddenly a screech is heard and ten ferocious raptors have jumped out from the bushes and grabbed a goat each. Your orcs were stunned. You had never seen such savage predators before so close to the mountains. You thought raptors only kept to the jungles! Something must've rallied them? Either way, they stole your kill and you come back to your village with far less food than you hoped for.

Skraelings. Surely such things wouldn't have followed you here? Either way, you prepare for the worst and set out to explore the new lands you've arrived at. While the expeditions are out, the remaining builders construct a small pier and some fishing rafts to catch saltwater fish.

Balon simply stood, arms crossed as he watched Drake and Leo get patched up. When Drake was taken to his home to rest, it was just Balon and Leo left in. THe air was a bit awkward and he could almost feel her being nervous. She opened her mouth to speak just before the captain popped in to interrupt her. "Ah, no longer bleeding I see, fantastic. While we wait for Luz to get back with Amphi and the ingredients for dinner why don't you make sure the Lass doesn't get bored." said Blythe. Balon nodded in response. "Of course cap'n." "Balons a fun guy miss, he'll show you a good time." Balon covered his face with his palm. He just knew Blythe was gonna say something like that. After he left, Balon turned to Leo who was now blushing... A lot. "He's just a jokester. I'm sure he didn't mean anything... suggestive." Great. Now it's even more awkward. "But hey... You managed to faceplant the rocks, what, three times? Is it some sort of secret martial art of the mermaids?" he asked, smirking.
So I was like "I'll say I'll get the post done TODAY instead of "within 2-3 hours" because it always ends up being 4-5" ... But then I got a visit from a friend and I had to sort out some stuff after she left and woops, here I am at 22:27 without a post.
I will however try to get it done during lunch break tomorrow at work. It means the map wont be updated but that can wait until i get home. I'm sorry for making you all wait, I hope you're as excited to progress as I am so I'm gonna increase growth a bit to speed things up. I wont go overboard don't worry ;)
