Perfectly fine~ :D
I'll also have a wip up soon.

WIP:

With eyes screwed shut and the palms of her hand pressed against either side of her cheeks, Emery conjured up an accurate map of the island in her head, highlighting routes that would prove useful to their objective. She needed to account for Aubrey's mom's conditions; there could be no harsh terrains, and elevation and obstructions should minimal. Due to their current dilemma, she also had to mark off ones that passed too closely to the town center and avoid any winding ones that would only slow them down. It took all of a second for her to pinpoint the perfect route—a mostly straightforward path that started across from Aubrey's house and cuts through the lake— but Aubrey had moved faster than her and he was already running home before she could tell him.

"Hold up!" Emery broke into a sprint and beckoned for Isaac to follow them. As she ran, her steps were uneven and staggering, but the momentum kept her upright for the time being. She trailed after the blonde frenziedly, her mind a jumble of worries. What about the others who can't hide? What will the Crucible do to them? What if she, Isaac, and Aubrey get caught? There were so many things to consider, so many things that could go wrong. Somehow, part of her remained obstinately hopeful; after all, have you seen their mayor? Vladimir Maximus would never let anything happen to his people, and she believed there was hope so long as he and his Rift Hunters were standing.

Emery arrived at Aubrey's house half a minute after he had. She waited for Isaac before she went inside, seeking solace in his presence. Isaac always seemed to know how to make things better; surely he can figure out how to help Aubrey out. "How are we going to get Auntie Mel out?" she asked after she'd taken a moment to catch her breath. Her hands absently fiddled with her skirt, clenching and unclenching in order to calm herself. "We need to take her to the alley past Nora's bar and go north from there. It's the safest way out of here."
Yeah, it might help us find more appropriate pictures for the sci-fi and fantasy worlds.
Haa, that's what I'd gone for originally, and I thought I might have been overestimating her capabilities. But yes, the second one it is then.
@Dext, has Dizzy heard from Krimp?

Also, I think Yvaine would be assigned to the first expedition. Her spellsinging might prove useful at some point, but as she is now, she'll probably be more of a liability in the other two expeditions.

EDIT: Oops, it seems Linara claimed the last spot for the first one.
Misc:
Agreed!

Roles:
That age range is perfectly fine, and I have no problems with making our own CS either. :D

I think it would be best to start from their own world; otherwise, it might get complicated trying to keep consistent.

As for roles, I was thinking Thera and Earth, although I've yet to decide which gender's which.

Oopsie. Forgot that Nanako ran off at the end. I edited the post though so that Isaac isn't talking to invisible people.

Haha! Otherwise, Emery would have freaked out. "Mr. Fixit's going crazy! What do I do?"
@Ruro, I don't think Nanako and widdle Benny are around the Aubrey at that point. She ran to the where the Free Wind is. :o
There was always this one moment before falling that seemed to last minutes, like it was being played in slow motion. It was when she realized what was happening and when her body started to brace for impact. Emery screwed her eyes shut in preparation, ready to roll away once she fell to minimize injuries, but the point of impact never passed. She opened one eye tentatively as she felt a pair of hands stabilize her, and smiled when she realized she had been saved by the dark haired technician. He did fix all the problems, after all.

"Perfect timing, Isaac!" she said, grinning up at him. "I saw a big freighter land in the northern forest. Do you wanna go see?"

Isaac had then asked about the hunters and guards milling about town, but she didn't have an answer. She hadn't even realized until he pointed it out, as she had been too absorbed with the earlier commotion. This was turning out into the exact opposite of a listless day, it seemed. And as if to prove her point, another rumbling echoed in the horizon. Emery looked at Isaac, brows knitted in worry, and pointed upward, to where a white airship—smaller and sleeker in comparison to the earlier anomaly—made its way toward the town. She could identify immediate differences between the two aircrafts, but what worried her more was the emblem it brandished. It seemed the Crucible Empire was paying their little town a visit.

Emery grabbed onto Isaac's shirt instinctively, fear etched in her eyes as she looked to him again. "What do we do?" she asked, slightly frazzled. Her sister warned her countless times to stay away from the Crucible if she could help it, and she knew enough from the stories to know of their brutality. With her free hand, she reached into her skirt pockets and retrieved her folded hi-tech goggles (Crucibellian technology, ironically enough) and put it on. The system initialized automatically, and soon enough she could zoom into where the airship landed. Dread filled her as she counted the number of white-clad soldiers marching out and relayed the information to Isaac. A Crucibellian army this size could only mean something horrible was about to happen.

Before she powered off and refolded her goggles, she caught a glimpse Aubrey not too far away, looking to the distance as she had. From the look on his face, she could tell he already knew about the news. "Aubrey's over there," she told Isaac, and then proceeded to pull him along as she ran toward the blonde boy. Having someone to run with helped her balance, and she managed to get to Aubrey without any more mishaps.

"We have to get away from them, Aubrey," she said, frantic. Emery was about to grab him and pull him along as well, to find refuge in the northern forest, but then she remembered something and she started panicking even more. "No, wait. Your mom! Let's get her first and then hide!"
