Bio

Hi its been a long time since I've been on this site so if I end up staying long term I'll update this. 3 years is enough to build up sufficient levels of cringe. So I removed it all to avoid the cringe.

@HushedWhispers Cool cool! Looking forward to seeing him/her.

Hikari

&

Tashi

Hikari and Tashi were quickly ushered in and out of the building. They introduced themselves to the Avatar and the Earthbender, Ty Pao. Tashi politely declined the meal he was offered, stating that he was a vegetarian, and that he had packed his own breakfast consisting of Lychee nut tea, and a medley of nuts and fruits. The two followed the Avatar to the docks, where there ship awaited them.

"Fortunately for the Nomads, the Air Temples are quite difficult for outsiders to reach. The Nothern Air Temple has had some attacks attempted, but nothing too major. I hear the Western Air Temple has been less fortunate than us, however. They are among the easiest to breach," Tashi said.

"The Fire Nation has a large population of non-benders, and therefore Chi Blockers as well. Our military is holding strong, though they will not last forever." Hikari set her bags down on the deck of the ship and joined the other two on the railing. "How are you and your sister tribe doing?" She asked the Avatar.

"And, how is the Earth Kingdom faring? I imagine the sheer strength of the Earth Kingdom is enough to deter any attacks," Tashi said as he removed his staff from his belongings and took his place next to Ty Pao.

Once she earned her tattoos she set out, travelling the world. She visited the Fire Nation and its bordering colonies for a year before moving to Republic City. Rin found out that the city was on the brink of another revolution due to the development of this new drug. Rin kept watch, looking for any signs of danger that this revolution might bring.

@jumpadraw Awesome, then go for it! Our Team Avatar is officially full!
@jumpadraw Unfortunately, we have all of our benders reserved. If you want to go for a non-bender, you're more than welcome to. However, if you are more interested in a bending role, I will make sure to keep you in mind in case anyone drops.
@Raijinslayer Alright, I might allow it. If this takes place two generations after Korra, then I suppose it is safe to assume that Lavabending would be much more common. However, no metal and lava at the same time. One or the other. Not sure how bending would work in conjunction with a weapon, but if you want to try it, go for it.

@Aquaknight@HushedWhispers Here is the OOC!

Air, Water, Earth, Fire. Republic City. It was meant to be a place of peace, a place of harmony. My past lives have worked tirelessly to maintain the balance of the world. Modern developments have made this a struggle. It is my duty as the Avatar to uphold the peace that my past lives have brought upon our world. Not even the Avatar could do this alone. I'll need the help of others if I am to live up to the expectations of the world.

Synopsis

The four nations, along with Republic City have been peacefully expanding and developing for several centuries. Korra's successor had lived a fairly easy life. He was perhaps the first ever Avatar that didn't have to resolve any major conflicts. Pro-bending became a nationwide sport. It was a steady, successful era. Scientists across the world developed new technologies, many of them making life much easier for the common folk. However, with these technological advancements came a new evil. One corporation, dedicated to the study of bending, developed a drug that allowed its user to temporarily bend an element. This meant that non-benders could become benders for a short period. Benders could also use the drug, allowing them to bend multiple elements at the same time, a feat only previously accomplished by the Avatar.

This new invention caused rioting everywhere. Rivalries developed among the benders and non-benders yet again. Those who had read about and sympathized with Amon were now rising up. It was the beginning of a revolution. Only this time, the Neo-Equalists would be on a more even playing field.

Bender's Serum

The Bender's Serum is the name given to the drug that provides temporary access to one of the elements. It is traditionally injected into a vein. The serum will allow for roughly two hours of unlimited access to a single element. People who have experimented with multiple serums at once have been known to have adverse side effects, the most common one being death. However, this does not apply to those who are naturally gifted the ability to bend an element. When a Natural Bender injects the serum, it works the same way as it does with a non-bender. This means that dual-"wielding" elements is entirely possible, even if it is only temporary. The serum has yet to be outlawed, however there is talk among government officials on how to deal with it. For now, they have decided to limit access by placing taxes on the serum. This essentially cuts off the lower class citizens' access to the serum. Those who are moderately wealthy (Not dirt poor) could still afford to buy the serum occasionally.
Each element corresponds to a different color serum. Below is a legend to help tell the difference.

@Raijinslayer Boy, another person that I know! Of course. Looks like I'll be the Airbender. OOC will be up in a few minutes. Just need to make some finishing touches. I'm unsure about the Lavabending. I will definitely consider it, and get back to you.
@Chickn
Another post has been displayed.

Sorry if I got a little ahead of myself. :(

It's quite alright! I understand wanting to get to the good stuff. :D I should have something up relatively soon. If not tonight, then I'll have something up in the morning.
