Hi its been a long time since I've been on this site so if I end up staying long term I'll update this. 3 years is enough to build up sufficient levels of cringe. So I removed it all to avoid the cringe.

Falthon

The Falthon reared it's head, displaying it's teeth to the group of Huntsmen that had gathered at it's base. It let out another blood-curdling screech from it's many faces, and turned to face Vlad. The tall figure had taken off towards the cliffs, with Bonny in his arms. Unfortunately, in all of the chaos, he had missed a boulder protruding from the earth. He fell face first into the dirt, leaving Bonny defenseless on the ground. The Falthon, hardly phased by the other Huntsmen currently hacking, slashing, and beating at his faces, hesitated for only a moment before using this opportunity to snatch Vlad up in it's massive jaws.

His screams of pain were quickly silenced, casting a sorrow mood over the Huntsmen. It was their first day, their initiation, and they had already witnessed two deaths. There was no way that Vlad could survive being eaten by the Falthon. It's teeth alone were bigger than him.

The Falthon continued lashing out at the students. It had enough appendages to keep most of them busy, and with two students already dead, their numbers were looking quite... Grimm.

Rowan D. Valinn

Rowan turned just in time to witness Vlad stumbling over a rock. She sprinted as quick as she could, but her path was blocked by the Falthon's head coming down on top of Vlad. She let out a shriek. The beast had just eaten Vlad whole.

"Vlad! Bonny!" Once the Falthon's head lifted away, Rowan rushed over to the prostrate body. It was Bonny, and she was still alive. "Bonny, are you alright? Come on, we have to get you out of here," she said as she hoisted Bonny up to her feet. She might have been small, but years of training in addition to her Aura gave her quite a bit of hidden strength. The distant music seemed to give her a boost, as well.

"Can you run? If not, I'll have to carry you," she said hastily. They couldn't linger around the beast. If they did, they would die. It took next to no effort for the beast to kill Vlad, and it would surely make short work of the rest of them if they didn't kill it first.

Rood von Rah

Rood stepped to the side of an incoming strike from the Falthon. It was no doubt a tough fight, and the odds were certainly not in their favor. However, as the other students showed up, Rood felt slightly relieved. They might stand a chance if they all worked together. He chained together several punches, aided by his Semblance. The faces had skin stronger than a Goliath, which made it extremely difficult to injure the beast.

Rood pulled his hand back in preparation for another attack when the beast stretched it's main head out behind him. Rood followed it, and witnessed it swallow Vlad. Damn, that's a shame. He didn't have time to mourn the loss, though. If they didn't take care of the Falthon now, the situation could escalate further.

He heard the sound of music long before seeing the source. Out of the corner of the forest, he saw the red-haired boy reveal himself, steadily playing his music. The effect was almost immediate. He felt a sudden boost in energy, like his Aura had been strengthened directly. That'll be useful.

"Everyone, keep attacking the faces! We seem to be weakening it."

Bryson, thankful that he wasn't in trouble for being late, breathed a sigh of relief. He watched halfheartedly as each individual displayed their powers. While they were all indeed interesting, he knew that at one point, he would have to demonstrate his own. As if right on time, he was called out by one of the other mutants, Will, codename Paladin.

"I think we've yet to see a demonstration from the resident nut job. Well, the other resident nut job. Would you care to show off?"

"Did he just call us a 'nut job'?"

"What do you want to see? Do you want us to burn your pants again? Or do you want us to blow your socks off?" Bryson turned to the others still standing around, "We haven't come up with a codename yet. We didn't know that we were supposed to."

"If I may," Bryson turned his head up to the ceiling as if Orion were talking above him, "We could call ourselves Nebula. When Corvus and I first manifested ourselves inside your mind, we agreed to name ourselves after the two constellations. These names appear to be thematic, and Nebula would fit all criteria."

Bryson returned from his semi-trance, and addressed the group once more. "That's a great idea! We'll call ourselves Nebula." Bryson paused for a moment, before remembering that he was supposed to demonstrate his abilities. "Oh, yeah, we forgot. Our powers are everyone's pow-"

Bryson was interrupted by Orion and Corvus, who took this as their opportunity to reveal themselves. Only this time, it was different. Instead of a single transparent being falling from him, Bryson's body faded from view as the two took his place. The two shadowy figures stood side by side, their red and purple "skin" contrasting each other. They were nearly exact copies of Bryson, except for the obviously transparentness.

"My name is Orion. This is my counterpart, Corvus. You might have seen us around. To put it simply, we have the ability to mimic other abilities. Is there anyone willing to help us demonstrate?"

"Ooh! How about fire lady? That looks like fun! We can set Silly Willy's pants on fire again!" Corvus let out a cackle at the thought of Will's pants bursting into flames again.

Orion turned to Sophie, the pyro of the group. "Well, if she wants to assist us, that would be wonderful. How about it?"

Sophie was a little startled when Bryson split into two copies of himself but was quick to accept what was happening and tried to make a mental note of who was who. "I have no problem with helping so long that you don't do whatever Lucian did to me, and we don't set anyone's pants on fire; that was a one time thing." She said to the clones. It was clear that she was nervous about what they had in mind. What Lucian did felt too unnatural and she didn't like it. She approached the clones. "So, what do you want me to do?"

Corvus frowned after Sophie turned down his idea of setting Will's pants on fire again. He assumed a position roughly ten feet away from her; the further he was, the less powerful the connection was.

"All you have to do, Sophie, is stand there. Corvus and I will do the rest," Orion said as he walked into the underground range. He held his hands out, familiarizing himself with the new power. Each one felt slightly different, and it took a while to get used to the new ones. He could feel the presence of fire, almost like it had replaced his blood. Once he had a moment to get used to the new feeling, he activated the power, and set a dummy on fire. It didn't burn nearly as bright as Will's pants had, but the heat was intense enough to melt the plastic.

Corvus stepped out of range of Sophie, deactivating the power. "I still think we should have set his pants on fire."

Orion returned to the others, and fused back together with Corvus. Bryson reappeared in their place, looking a little winded. "We did it. That's our power."

As soon as it had seemed like Sophie had gotten used to the two copies, they had already fused back together and Bryson now stood in their place. "That was awesome! You guys were awesome, all three of you! Ya know, if you ever decide to copy my powers again, I could give you guys a few pointers on how to use it." She replied excited with a happy and excited smile.

In her spare time, she had read Bryan's file, but to see the real deal was a feeling entirely different than what she would experience when reading about it.

"Her powers seem extremely powerful, and potentially dangerous. It would indeed be a good idea to learn how to properly use them."

Bryson once again looked up while listening to Orion. To the others around him, he was just staring at nothing. Once Orion finished, Bryson addressed Sophie like nothing had happened. "Thanks! We'll keep that in mind," Bryson said. He walked to an empty chair, and sat down, feeling slightly drained from using his powers. Not only did Orion and Corvus have to copy the power, but they had to use it. It was quite a draining process.

Sophie gave Bryson one more final nod and smile before returning to her spot against the wall.
@Ace of flames01 Awesome! I've got the first part of my post here.
Just curious if anyone would be willing to do a mini-collab thing to help demonstrate Bryson's powers? I've kind of hit a point where I need some IC consent, but I obviously don't want to assume control of someone else's character.
I'll try and catch up tomorrow. Had a busy day and just don't have the energy to make a post tonight.
Alright, I got up an intro post. It's definitely not my best, but it'll have to do. I just wanted to get something up before you all get too ahead. :)

A quick note about Bryson's post: I'm going to be writing all internal dialogue by Orion and Corvus in italics, quoted, and colored. So unless you can read minds *Cough*Charlotte*Cough*, all of that should be unheard. Bryson's internal dialogue will just be colored and italicized.

"Hey... Hey! Wake up! We're going to be late!"

Bryson groaned as he sat up and stretched his arms. He stared at the hazy image of a clock on the wall, and just barely made out the time. 8:30.

"It would appear that we're already late, Corvus."

"Alright, we're leaving," Bryson said to the empty room. He rose from his bed and slipped on the closest pair of shoes. He was never one to be on time, and it didn't help that he was up all night trying to clear his mind. Sometimes, he just couldn't block them out. If it weren't for the cursed voices, he might not have been locked up for his entire life. He might have had a normal life. Unfortunately, Orion and Corvus chose him.

Bryson raced through the basement corridors, but only ended up back at the stairs leading to the main floor. That's lovely. Can one of you help us out here? We might be able to actually make it there before the meeting is over. Bryson tried to reach out to his companions, and fortunately Orion had heeded his call.

To an outsider, it would appear that Bryson's soul might have just fallen out. Well, it definitely felt like that. The translucent, red figure stood tall. It was nearly a mirror image of Bryson.

"Why are we letting this fool help? We know that I would be better for this," Corvus said.

Bryson simply ignored the crow pecking at his mind, and took off down one of the corridors. Orion, having a connection to their sort of hive mind, knew to go in the other direction. With the two of them, they covered much more ground. Unfortunately, it would turn out that Bryson was simply going in circles.

"Idiot! We're going in circles! Go find Orion, he's the only smart one here."

"That would be a wise decision, as we have found our destination," Orion said.

Bryson concentrated on the missing voice. He couldn't really explain their connection, because he didn't really know how it worked. All he knew was that he could hone in on Orion's location simply by concentrating. After about a minute, he had pinpointed his companion, and headed in that direction.

Once there, he let Orion join him once more inside his head. It took some practice, but after a few days Bryson was able to fuse with his other thirds pretty easily.

"...You haven't fed them? Shame on you," a voice said through the cracked door.

"We're starving! There better be food in there," Corvus said.

He quickly surveyed the others, and noted that he had met most of them before. However, there were a couple that he hadn't truly met.

"Hi everyone. We're sorry for being late. We couldn't sleep last night, because Corvus wouldn't shut up about how he saw a shadow in the corner of the room," Bryson said, to no one in particular. He had hoped the general apology would be enough.
<Snipped quote by HushedWhispers>

Lol, if I had posted after me, you would had a much better mind to read.

@HushedWhispers should have fun reading Bryson's mind. It's like a party up in there! ;D

How would I display Lucian's power in a way that wouldn't ivolve the suffocation of everyone in the room?

You could maybe put out a candle or something? Or increase the oxygen around a flame, and make it burn brighter?
