You could spill something on her.
Azu stared at the counter, lost in thought for half a second thinking of what she should be making. Looking over the dust on display, she could almost swear her mouth started wandering as her eyes caught on the marble of gravity dust there. Oh the things she could make with that little gem, if only she could get her hands on it. Still, she couldn't allow herself to get lost in fantasies, she wanted to build something useful here.

"I want to build something small, so scrap metal will work for the base. Aluminum, if you have extra, but iron will do." As she spoke, she swung her backpack around so she could get hold of it, then started removing crystals from it. She lined up two red and four blue crystals, all of average quality and size. "I can make most of the parts I need from scratch, but I'll need a handful of two centimeter springs and one centimeter hinges. I also need to borrow a workroom with a forge, if you have one right now. Will these be enough?" Azu resecured her backpack on her back, looking expectantly at the shop owner. Several device blueprints were already circulating through her mind, each one trying it's best to be chosen.
My post is Bleh and I feel Bleh
"You think I'm desperate enough to let some two-bit amateur touch my gear? Nobody asked you for help, so keep your neb to yourself!"

Azu huffed and muttered under her breath, things about ingrates and horses bearing gifts, then turned away from her annoying classmate. She had wanted to talk to the shop owner, maybe convince him to let her do some work for him, but now she had lost the fire to create. Still, it would be rude to simply walk into the man's shop, touch his merchandise and leave, so she walked towards him anyway.

"Excuse me," She said, pulling her suitcase a little closer to her, "Do you have any spare materials for sale? I brought extra crystals with me for trade."
I'm pretty sure Nimmie being a terrible liar is explicitly stated in her CS
Wish I was in enough to have feels
I had to revise the end of my post a bit in response.
@Raijinslayer fair enough, just wanted to make sure we were establishing the correct relationship.
@Raijinslayer I said I can see them butting heads, not being openly hostile all the time. Also Azu isn't an amateur when it comes to weaponry. Also also I don't think the blacksmith said anything to either of them yet.
@Lemons then Azu is going to respond "his are easier to fix."
