Kiaba stood stock still as the rest of the color drained from his face. None of this was turning out how he wanted it to. As he collapsed backwards into the nearest seat, the black mist that had been rising from him earlier returned in full force, creating a black fog around him that would make anybody who came into contact with it uncomfortable.

All I wanted was to talk to her. Why did things go so wrong. What's wrong with me, that I can't even do something simple like introduce myself without causing problems? Wrapped in a self perpetuating cloud of negative emotions, thoughts like these cycled through his head in a constant spiral.
