"We are born of gold, made men by gold, and undone by gold."
Name: Logarius Okropir
Nicknames/Titles: Moneybags,
Loggins,
MidasAge: 17
Gender: Male
Race: Human, with Dwarven ancestry
Sexuality: Pretty much as heterosexual as they come
Year: 3
Ranking Class: Sorceror
Magic: Alchimia: Aurum Fountain, Logarius is in tune with the elements of the periodic table that he can nearly absentmindedly transmute elements by displacing electrons and fullfilling certain valence pairs whilst ignoring and changing others. And while this can potentially have disastrous results, there's no place where he's more comfortable than with the creation of element no. 79, Aurum, gold. As with the rest of his family, his skill with the creation and manipulation of gold is nearly unmatched.
While he prefers not to use it for combat, he can and very thoroughly. He can, mid battle, switch gold back and forth between solid and liquid and form it into various weapons/tools to aid him. Outside of combat, he prefers to use it in constructive manners such as creating decorations, statues, even creating gold thread for sewing. The gold itself has no technical value, it's not actually legal tender, it's raw gold.
Strengths: Multiple applications, creative uses, can be used for protection, great conductor of electricity, isn't particularly complex.
Weaknesses: Tends to leave him drained when used too quickly, can be volatile, requires other materials to reach the density of gold, gold isn't exactly the strongest metal.
Catalyst: His front four teeth, which are carved out of gold with runes written into the front and back.
Inventory: He has a full set of gold band rings which are worn on all of his fingers excepting the ones that have his catalysts. Wallet, a bag of assorted chunks of metal, spare glasses, a grill consisting of gold plating to disguise the naturality of the rest of his teeth.
Familiar: N/A
Squad Name: Pesonality: Despite what his appearance would show, Logarius is quite down to earth and humble about the wealth that he potentially has. His family's wealth has not gotten to his head, and he refuses to spend more than he thinks that he can earn by working and creating things. He's also quite pacifistic, being not a big fan of fighting, but he's more than capable of defending himself when he has to. He's seemingly not worried about drama, failures, or the issues of the human condition. Logarius believes that when something bad happens, it should be observed, analyzed, then left in the past. It's unknown if he actually practices what he preaches, however.
Backstory: While not necessarily born into nobility, he was born into a highly respected family in an noble establishment that was stationed near quite a few tribal civilizations. For several generations, his family alone had a tradition that was very noticeable and unmistakeably them. The eldest of their sons would have their teeh replaced with ones made out of gold so as to become closer to the elements. When Logarius was born, his parents held off on doing it as he seemed to show no signs of magic whatsoever. However as he became older and got more curious with the world, his natural talent began to show and his parents scooped him up so as to begin the ritual.
With quite a bit of assistence from magic, a lot of hot water, and a large amount of golden teeth. The process was simple, yet painful all at the same time. Remove the baby teeth, remove any teeth growing under them, then plant the golden teeth into the holes where the previous teeth were. Unfortunately, Logarius was the first in four generations to be unable to go through the whole operation, only able to get his top four teeth removed before the pain got to him.
His parents, and other relatives who had all gathered to see the ritual go through as it had for Logarius's uncle, his father before him, and his father's father. This lead to extra malign, not just from his parents but from almost the entirety of his family to the point where they hardly could look at him.
They wanted to disown him, but Logarius argued and argued for his case along with the few people that he could get to agree with him after his show at the ritual, and he was offered a much more peaceful solution. He was to be sent off to the best mage academy so as to potentially make something of himself. Although, from the eyes of his parents, it was simply getting rid of him. He swore that he would make himself so worth of his parent's attention that they'd forget the mistake he made.
