Gender: Female
Age: 15
Height: 5'2"
Weight: 132lbs
House:
"How's our newest Hufflepu... Hold on, they said Slytherin?!"Slytherin
Year: 5th year
Appearance:Piper looks easily approachable. Her skin is light with a healthy glow to it, and her curly, shoulder-length hair is light brown in colour, often left unkempt and tangly. Under thick eyebrows are curious moss eyes framed with short, brown lashes. Piper's face shape is a soft oval and the tip of her nose is remotely buttony. Behind Piper's left ear there's a visible scar from a fang. She isn't toned by any means, but her build is more athletic than your average 15-year-old's.
When Piper isn't wearing her robes, her go-to clothes are earth tones and grays, often sweaters paired with plaid, knee-length skirts. The girl's most iconic outfit is her rust orange turtleneck sweater she pairs up with a dark, warm gray cardigan that reaches easily to her knees. She likes to wear her gray plaid skirt with dark knee-high socks and brown shoes.
Piper doesn't wear makeup, but she has a discreet nose piercing.
Even with her robes on she wears a pendant that has a hippogriff fang tangling from it.
Personality:
~ Positive / Headstrong / Social / Ambitious / Passionate ~Piper is an interesting character to be around with. Nearly everyone who's met her wonders why she ended up in Slytherin instead of Hufflepuff: the girl is social, funny, spirited, and likes to spend time with friends. She seems like the odd one out compared to the stereotypical Slytherin model. However, her burning passion and ambition to succeed are qualities that make her a match for her house.
Piper has a tendency to be reckless, but even more than that she is determined. She isn't an academical talent, but works hard every day to improve and keep up with the others, even surpass them. She doesn't want to be the best necessarily, she wants to simply be good enough, whatever that means. Piper is very encouraging and sunny around her friends, but she doesn't let that stop her from being fiercely competitive as well, trying to outdo everyone, especially herself. Snarky people don't mix well with Piper, although she tries to avoid conflict when she can. Piper isn't much of a sharer even though she loves being social; she uses physical activity to vent out her emotions and frustrations. Quidditch isn't as much a sport to her as it is an outlet to blow steams, even though winning does taste sweet every now and then.
History:Piper was born to a all-wizard family. Her parents were both tamers of magical beasts, although her mother was also an ex auror forced to resign after an accident that took her leg. When Piper was about 6, her brother turned to the dark side. This came to all of them as a big surprise since Piper's brother had been an academically gifted Hufflepuff with a bright future ahead of him. Quickly he went off the rails, ending up arrested and sent to Azkaban. This event left a deep emotional scar in the whole family.
Piper lived her whole life on a farm with her parents and varying magical creatures. When she was still little, she went along great with the animals, seeming a natural for conversing with them. Then, one day the little Piper went too close to a wounded Hippogriff brought to the farm to heal after a poacher had tried to catch it. The wounded magical creature reacted violently, slashing towards Piper, just barely missing her eye. Piper was left with a terror of all magical creatures and a visible scar on her left ear as a memory of the encounter. After that, every time Piper was forced to approach a magical creature, they could sense her fear and didn't trust her. Feeling like a disappointment to her parents - especially her dad - who had dedicated their whole life to the area, Piper was determined to somehow make up for her bad skills with animals.
Everyone in Piper's family were Hufflepuffs, and naturally this was expected of Piper as well. The girl fit the picture perfectly: kind, social, and supportive.
So naturally, everyone was shocked when instead of the expected, the Sorting Hat announced - voice solemn - that Piper was a Slytherin. This shocked no one more than it shocked Piper, who had her whole life recieved a rather black-and-white picture of the world, not to mention the Slytherin house. She spent her first year trying to distance herself as much as possible from her assigned house, sure there had been some sort of mistake.
It was only after she began seeing that not all Slytherins were malicious that she became more comfortable in her house. However, Piper was still determined to prove to everyone she would turn out brilliant, especially her family. Although supportive, Piper could tell her parents were a bit worried of her being sorted into the notoriously "evil" house, especially after what happened with her older brother, Brian. This only fuelled Piper's need to show her parents she would turn out good. This is why, despite not being gifted academically like her brother, Piper studies harder than most. The only thing she's naturally gifted at is mastering new spells quickly, everything else she's pretty rubbish at by deafult.
