I'm easy to work with. Love having fun. Up for almost anything, so long as it's not a one-liner or outside my comfort zone. Between you and me, that's a pretty large zone. Scroll on down for more. I do love a man who takes the southern route.
What you should know about Claire Y'know, before you send that awkward, first DM
You absolutely must be at least 21 years old to write with me. In fact, the older you are, the more comfortable I will be when we write. Don't try and fool me on this. I will know.
I'm a female who loves to write romance in any setting. To do that, I'm looking for a few good men. Or one extremely talented man capable of posting daily. (hey, life happens. When it does, let a sister know, and we're cool. Feel me?)
I'm a Discord lovin' fool. I've tried other formats, other servers, and services. Some of them have a decent beat and I can dance to them, but nothing gets my toes tappin' like the rhythm of a shiny new Discord server.
A sucker for the long game; good with multiple characters or multiple RPs. I like to focus on the main character, of course.
Third person, past tense. Let's say it again for the people in the back. Third. Person.
Let's keep politics out of it unless that's the kind of RP we're doing. No one ever changed their affiliation because of an internet argument. Which brings me to my next topic.
I'm a not your little bunny. You want a quick lay, head on over to Reddit where you're bound to find your match. We know where the NSFW is gonna go, but I'm here for the big picture. And by that I mean the RP, not a jpg of your johnson.
Don't. Ghost. That's just wrong on so many levels it isn't even funny. Say you're not into it. Say you've met your Golden Goose in another RP. Tell me you want to try a new idea/RP. Admit you hate my writing style. We can part as friends. I'm an adult, so try and act like one, too, alright?
OOC chat is welcome. Encouraged. Slurped up like the dregs at the bottom of a Big Gulp on after a run in the summer sunshine. Let's be 'friends' and get to know one another. I find it makes the writing better.
I don't do one liners. Three tiny paragraphs bore me to tears. In fact, for the most part, I'm a novella kind of gal. That said, I'm not into fluff (either kind), and certain elements of the story can and do run shorter when we're both online together. Love. It.
Human face claims all day long.
Mood/theme music? Hell yes.
Use scenery and other photos and I'll be your best friend.
Be descriptively creative and you might get lucky.
Plotting every detail is no fun at all, but I do love input, direction, and co-plotting. It's the kind of thing that makes me lick the wrapper for the last bit of melted chocolate goodness.
...with a few exceptions, of course.
Don't catch feelings for me. I know, I know. I'm cute. I'm witty. And my avatar face claim isn't the only one with dimples. I get that it's easy to blur the lines between fantasy and reality. But, seriously, what are the odds we're going to really, truly, find our soulmate online? I want long-term partners, and even friendship. Anything more and it will end up ruining what will undoubtedly be some incredible RPs.
I'm flexible. Not just with my writing, but that's the only kind of flexibility we're going to talk about out in the open like this. My capabilities extend to just about any genre. That doesn't mean I'll always want to start an RP of any genre, though. The vast majority of my years of RP experience are in SoL. Some of those have had a dash of magic or paranormal thrown in, but I've found building an entire world from scratch and filling it with 'lore' really isn't my bag, baby.
Nobody is perfect. We all make mistakes. For all my bravado, I know I make my fair share of flubs, especially if we're doing that speed-writing thing where we're both online at the same time and completely immersed in the banter, the plot twist, or whatever has grabbed our collective attention. Even so, I'm going to do my best to give you clean writing. Well, error-free, anyway haha.
If you made it through to the end and are still interested in sending that first, awkward DM, what are you waiting for? Do it. The sooner you do, the sooner we're on our way to RP bliss. Or keep scrolling and check out some of my current cravings.
Being a modern woman is hard. Being a witch on top of it all should make it easier, right? It so doesn't. First of all, we can't use our magic out in the open. We can't use it strictly for personal gain. Rules, rules, rules; made and enforced by a scary-powerful consortium. So, what's a girl to do? Summon a demon, of course. Just a little one. An imp to do my bidding. Easy enough to bind and control and get my house cleaned and my errands done, right? Except, maybe I shouldn't have had that third glass of wine before I summoned a demon. Because I got a pretty powerful succubus (or other type, your choice). Instead of a easily controlled minion, I now have a manipulative and somewhat lazy roommate who wants nothing more than to be a nuisance. While beholden to my power, he has ways of skirting around my requests with specific wording, and has a habit of causing more trouble than he’s worth. But as our dynamic shifts and as we both get tangled up deeper in each other’s affairs, there’s something else there. Something… exciting. Something...special.
This is a romance first and foremost. We can decide how much trouble we want to get in with the consortium etc.
Yeah, I know it's been done to death. But not by us! My character is turning 30 soon, has been career focused, and hasn't married up like her family thinks she should. If she hears 'when are you gonna settle down, dear?' one more time, she just might lose her mind. With a big family event coming up (could be a wedding, a reunion, a big family vacation where the properly married siblings and their kids are present, whatever) my OC needs something to shut everyone up and decides to get herself a fake fiancee. Maybe even a fake boyfriend who will fake propose in front of the family, who knows? She figures after a month or so, she can make up a devastating break up story and it will work in her favor because she can pretend to pine for the one who got away. These can be fully human people or we can throw in some magical pairings. Either way, hijinx, hilarity, and of course the big moment - when they actually fall for one another. Hard.
More to come, stay tuned...Or hit me up with your ideas.
