Name: Copper Miles McNear
Age: 17
Gender: male
Human Appearance:
Wolf Appearance:
Personality: Copper is mild mannered and quiet. He has very low self esteem which can be directly linked back to his abusive father and elementary school experience. He tries to be as positive as he can outwardly, realizing nobody deserves what he had. His compassion sadly does not reach to himself.
Bio: Copper was born last of three children to his undeniably poor mother, as such his life has never been easy. As a child he quickly learned that his mother had no time for any foolishness, she had enough of that from his no good father. This cost him the majority of his childhood. Before he was old enough to attend school he helped clean the house or fold laundry with his mother. Often he would spend the day going between rich peoples homes helping his mother tidy their picturesque estates until the dazzling white could have been new regardless if it started off looking that way or not. This was of course his days, nights were much different. Coppers father was a man who enjoyed what he called the drink, and as an Irish man he was entitled to drink his wages and do as he pleased. The drink coerced him and loosened his words and his fists, until one day the loosened his eyelids and he crashed and died.
The peace brought by a fathers sudden disappearance, unexplained by the mother didn't last long though as school began. Mom was paying taxes for school so Copper was going. Copper never felt inclined to be around first graders though, they were unruly and rude, he had no clue anyone could be so mean without the drink. He spent recess and lunch drawing or helping the teachers pick up as he was now far accustom to cleaning up after others. He was easily labeled by others as a teachers pet and a suck up, and as such was the center of many jokes and bullying yet again.
As mild mannered as Copper was brought up to be he simply couldn't take the continued abuse and weekly got himself landed in the principles office and detention all the way until 4th grade when it happened. It was during a fight after school, a 5th grader had thrown a rock at him so he was going to punch him back. Somewhere in the distance between himself and the other child coppers fists were lost and he grew teeth for biting. The fight was over before it started as the crowd that had come for the fifth grader fled in terror.
Explaining to mother left her in a state of terror as well, for why would god hate her so much to ruin her life like this, and wasn't she a good person. Copper hardly remembered most of what she had said, but he didn't have to go to school after that. And they moved to a small plot in the middle of nowhere.
Generally Copper was a normal teen, for four years he was home schooled. In this time he enjoyed wandering the rural lands figuring out how things worked, catching bugs, collecting rocks, climbing trees. When it rained he would spend hours in the library reading the books they had on nature and wolves and dogs and every king of fantasy under the sun. However his luck ended at at 14 when his mom forced him back to high school. It wasn't as bad as elementary school at least.
Other: While he's had a crush on many different people throughout high school he's never actually gotten the confidence to ask anyone out, he did manage to make a few friends although none of them are very close.
