" It's a dark world out there, everyone else is blind to the problem, I'm just trying to fix it. "
About

Name: Geneva Evelin Hawkes

Age: 34

Gender: Female

Sexuality: Asexual Panromantic

Physical description: Tall for a women at 5'11, Geneva towers above many. She has a resting face that says she will slit your throat if you make one wrong move, and an occasional scowl that tells you that she's pissed. When she speaks, she looks you in the eyes, her black irises locked into a state down that she will win. Her long hair falls down her back, dark with red undertones. Her clothing is black and red to match.

Personality:
As a leader no one could've asked for a better one. The only person she claims did better was Galen, though others might disagree as he was a control freak.

Geneava has always been a cautious person. She is terrified of what might come if she isn't careful and dreads every move she makes being a mistake. She over analyses everything, breeding fear in every situation. For as old as she is she still feels like a child, a feeling that clashes with her motherly nature towards others in the Hunt. She doesn't seem happy anymore, between over working and restlessness she doesn't seem to have many feelings at all.

Background: Geneva grew up under the founders of The Hunt. Her home was the base, and her family was the Hunters. Captain Galen was the leader then, He had all the strut and mercilessness of a maniac, and in all truth he probably was one. His wife had been one of the first infected, Galen only went down after her death. Some say he kept her locked up for weeks before she died, others say otherwise, the point is no one really knows.

Hawkes was an orphan in a San Francisco. She can remember bits of her childhood when she'd witness murders in the alleyway out her window. She never slept well, before or after. Galen adopted her, yearning for someone to fill his empty life and for a reason to continue trying to fix the world. He taught her self defense, and how to shoot a gun. She was going on hunts with him by her teen years.

Her first solo mission was her eighteenth birthday, it was a day she'd awaited and enjoyed every moment of. That day she proved her capabilities and her career took off. She hasn't stopped since. She's always hunting.

Skills

Talents:
Tracking: Geneva is an expert at deciphering who is a vampire, and where they are. she knows the vampires patterns and how to narrow down where the vampiers live.

Tactician: For every situation Geneva has a plan. This skill comes with years of experience and studying.

Marksmanship: Among Geneva's favorite weapons are rifles, she can hit open targets from a great distance although she isn't against a good pistol and a gun fight. She's much the type to bring guns to a knife fight and doesn't mind playing dirty, this isn't to say that she doesn't use knives. She carries blades around nearly everywhere she goes just in case.

Wepon(s):
-Her rifle, given to her by Galen before he passed away. She prefers this over other wepons for the safty and the precision of it's shot.

-A pistol, good for closer fights, not her favorite but better than no gun.

-knives, always on her body no matter what, she sleeps with a knife gripped in her hand. This is due to Galens training and insistence otherwise she would not be so specific about it. She insists that everyone carry a knife around just in case.

Extra

Geneva is jumpy and doesn't sleep well. She is constantly on the lookout, even in seemingly safe places. She's never felt safe.

The world

Everything is much the same since the disease broke out in the 1970's. Many people still feign themselves into believing it isn't real, but we know. We, the hunters, know. It's 2016 now and the disease has spread across the world, it's common place to find someone dead on the streets in many of the bigger cities. People say it's murder, the murder rates have gone up. We know better though. It's the infected that do this to us, they are the ones that kill. I suppose it's better that their victims are dead though, it's hard to imagine what personal hell it's like to be one of them.
One day, maybe we'll be able to fix this problem.

As far as the disease goes, we call it vamparism. This is due to its... unfortunate side effects. I'm not saying the infected have totally lost it, but they need to be killed or else they'll kill us. It gives them a craving for blood, human to be specific. If they don't eat human blood or flesh, they'll starve. Or team says it takes about three days on average but some can last up to a week, there's really no telling why. The bloody beasts are cannibals to their own as well, to the disease they still count as humans and so vampires will sometimes eat other vampires.

They die just like everyone else does, sunlight only seems to deter them. A bullet through the head or a knife in the through is a good way to go, the real problem is that you can't have mercy. They might look human but they aren't. This is all we can do to save our earth.

The Plot

We are the hunters, the great ones of knowledge, under captain Hawkes and captain Galen before, may he rest in peace. We are among the few who know of the vamparism that plagues our society, and we are going to try and bring it to an end. We risk our lives to kill those who are disease, to purify the world, to make it a better, safer place. What do you say, are you in?

As the pair walked down the street Camilla reached up and took Abby's hand. The young girl didn't know quite why herself but it simply felt like the right thing to do. Abby was new and possibly needed showing around, and holding hands was a good thing in general. It reminded her of a simpler time. A time that wasn't so long ago. To be fair it reminded her of her mom, but she didn't make that connection.

"If your talking about Thebes, Sparta, and Athens they're technically called city states. But they're kinda united." Camilla said with a grin, her brother had told her all about the city states, mostly about Athens, so Abby couldn't possibly trick her on this one. She knew what she was talking about.

The ice cream place was nice. The two were served fresh frozen milk outside, under colorful parasols. Everything was so pretty in this place. Camilla's ice cream was topped with fruits she'd never even heard of "pineapple" and "peaches", and drizzled with honey, the only substance she'd known about on the entire dish. As she ate she answered Abby's question, however with another question. "Why don't you ask Adam? He's really nice and knows everything,". She continued eating as though this information were common knowledge. "Do you think there are any cats here?" She asked after another bite. "Or dogs?". She seemed equally interested in this new found hope for animals as she did the ice cream.

Alrighty so I didn't have time to do anything for this today but I've got ideas!!(yay)
Hopefully tomorrow I'll have time to makeup a thing.

So far I've got that:
There will be two 'groups' of 'people'. Vampires and humans. A few humans will be hunters, who of course hunt the vampires. Vampires are a lot like people, they think and feel and stuff, this is because they used to be a human.
Vampirism is kinda like a disease. When a vampire bites you, you either die or become a vampire as well. Vampires eat people to sustain themselves. Their bodies stop being able to process other foods well and if they do not eat humans the disease that is vamparism will kill them.
This is a problem for humans cause they don't wanna be eaten.

I'll probably make us a hunting group so everyone will either be a human hunter or a vampire. Your human hunter can get bitten though and turn into a vampire, they'll have to keep i t a secret or get killed by their friends. There is no cure except death.

Have fun thinking of basic character stuff for now, I promise I'll get you a real thing tomorrow!
James

James began the short walk down to the first cabin. It was constructed of long wood boards with a brick chimney. This would be their home from now on. James tested the door, first by pushing it to see if it would give in, then by turning the knob to check if it was locked. The rain worn boards creaked when pushed but did not give until opened in the proper manner: the catch was unlocked or rusted to the point of the uselessness.

Inside hadn't seemed to fair much better than the outside. The wood flooring and walls were covered in dust and stay plants grew where the sun could reach. The broken windows weren't a good sign either, The pack would need to be careful of any bits of glass let lying around. Aside from the filth and wreckage the cabin was perfect. It had a main room that flowed into the kitchen, tow bedrooms and a bathroom. It was doubtful that the water would work, but the possibility of fixing it later was still there, in any case there was a steam not to far away. Both bedrooms were equip with a bed and a chest. One was full of blankets, moth eaten but useful none the less. Last but not least was the stone fireplace. Ashes still rest at the bottom and an iron pot hung over where a fire could be. By the way the house was built heat from the fireplace could flow throughout the house. This cabin would likely be Ambrosia and his.

The other cabins were similarly built each with their own problems. In total their were seven cabins, five with fire places, plenty of room to fit his pack of eleven.

In the sixth cabin he noticed something on the window frame, a golden thing underneath the layer of dust and snow. With a sweeping motion James made to dust off the debris and uncover the object, midway through the motion a sharp object cut into his hand. From the clear windowsill protruded a nail, three inches long and sticking up out of the wood, now it had blood on and around it. James checked his hand, just in case, but it had already begun healing shut, now only a feint red line.

Leaving the house he looked toward the seventh, and last house. It was farthest away from the first home and more run down looking then the past six. Deciding to leave it for later James went back to help unpack all the belongings or whatever needed getting done.

Mathew Cartelle
~Obstacle Tower ~ Camp half-blood~

Mathew Hugged his half sister back, smiling as he did. Even if she did have a tendency to call him 'Matty' Syleste was by far his favorite sister, sure there wasn't much competition but hey, sometimes that's life. Rmembering that he had important news to tell her Matt stopped hugging her. "Syl! I got into college!" He said excitedly. With his grades in high school it had been a surprise for him. Really the only reason he had gotten in was his mom, she had sold a painting to the head of the colledge and happened to have slipped one of her son's short stories in with the canvas. He basically got a free ride to attend a private college. "better than even that" He started again "The college is in New York, It's an hour and a half away."

Mathew radiated joy. He could visit Camp-halfblood on weekends and holidays after the summer was over. He was in an actual college. It was as though all his good luck and positive vibes piled into this one summer rather than spreading themselves out. His childhood certainly hadn't held any good. It was a dream come true.

Now satisfied that his sister was informed he realized that someone else had said something. Erin had called him a Joker, or maybe she'd been talking about someone else. It was clear who she was calling the cowboy, some new kid looked fresh of a farm, not that that was a bad thing. The new guy, Matt had missed his name when he'd said it luckily Syleste had caught it, Gabriel seemed friendly enough. Mathew offered a wave and a friendly "hey, nice to see new faces. I'm Matt, Syl's big brother." before two more half-bloods showed up.

It was Elena and Charlie. The first mentioned Syleste having a crush on someone, Matt had no clue who she could be talking about though so he wrote it off as a joke. Elena certainly seemed like she was just joking anyway. As far as recognizing others feelings went Matt was no expert. He had enough going on in his own life that keeping up with other people and their lives was just to stressful. He glanced up at the sky, blue with huge clouds. His mind wandered to how the weather might turn and then to what shapes the clouds resembled.
Charlie had spoken as well, nearly as soon as Elena had finished speaking. Matt hadn't caught any of what he had said though, being entranced by the sky's artistry.

Vennessa was the last to join the group, her greeting bringing Matt back to the real world. "Oh, Hey Van." he said, feigning a quick smile so as not to be rude.
Okay cool! If this many people are interested I'll start working on the actual post.
Is any one interested in a vampires vs Hunters kinda thing. We'd probably focus on the vampire side of the story but you could be a hunter if you wanted.

I'll need more ideas for plot elements but i've got a basic social structure/world in mind.

"hi Abby" Camilla said as soon as she knew the name "I'm from Thebes under Flavius Theodosius Iunior Augustus's great rule, that's what my mom says anyway." She looked outside the window, searching for more things to do. Camilla thought ice cream was a cool thing to eat, it was exotic and new, and maybe Abby hadn't had it before.

Just then Abby suggested looking for another store. Or maybe she'd just said something about another store that seemed like a suggestion, there was no telling. But Abby was smiling now so that was good. "Do you wanna go try ice cream, it's pretty much supposed to be frozen milk but i don't really think it tastes like milk at ll. Its still good, you should try it." She proclaimed hoping Abby wouldn't mind trying the new thing. It didn't occur to her that Abby might already know what ice cream is or that being from anywhere other than the Roman empire was an option.
