Irrak is a warrior of his clan, so he has to be protective of his own people, however, he has taken this to an entirely new level. He would give his life gladly if it meant that his own people would survive, however if any other sentient being trespassed on his clan's territory, then he will kill them without a second thought. However, due to the Mad King's armies victory, he has learned to at least tolerate other species, knowing that only together could they hope to survive.

History:

In gnoll society, you have to be strong from the moment you are born, for even a moment of hesitation or weakness, means that you would be your siblings first meal. Luckily, Irrak proved from the first moment of his life that he was strong as he was born twice the size of his siblings. And the fact that even other gnolls, even some juveniles thought that he was quite intimidating.

As he grew up, it became blindingly obvious what Irrak was meant to be... he was meant to be a warrior for the clan and he had to live up to his role as protector of his people. And that he truly proved. On day, at the age of 12(for gnolls, this is about the time they grow to adulthood), during a raid from a rival clan, he proved to be very powerful... and very savage. After his slightly hesitant first kill, he turned into a different person entirely.

And from that point onwards, he became the stalwart protector of his clan, killing any foreign being that tried to enter, no matter if it was demon, human, elf, dwarf, or even other gnolls, if they were not part of his clan, then they did not deserve to approach them. He even defeated three humans, who were apparently renowned champions, but to him, they were simply intruders. However, he decided to wear the heads of these "champions" as warning to other humans that might dare to intrude on his territory.

And when everyone unified to take down the Mad King, he did not join, though a few other clans joined... and were butchered for their valiant efforts. He would not risk his own people for such a folly. However, when news arrived that now the demons were coming closer and closer to his clan, more and more demons were able to come near to his village, so he made a hard decision. He would align his clan with the survivors of the unified army, he would learn to tolerate the other species, but if any one of them so much as looked the wrong way at his clan members, they would find themselves without a head.

* Steel armor over a thick leather vest.
* A hellhound skull as his helmet, used mostly to intimidate other beings
* Two day's rations of dried meat

Irrak is big, even for a gnoll. He's a head bigger than other gnolls and two times bigger than the average human. Strength-wise, he is nearly twice stronger than many other gnolls and much, much stronger than the average human, so he is a very tough opponent.

Like most gnolls, Irrak is very tough and pretty much fearless against any opponent, no matter the size of this opponent, so if he'll see a demon twice his size, there'll be a high chance that he will fight it, not run away from it.

Irrak has a odd weak spot for tragic or sad songs. These songs make him feel calm, for whatever reason and much, much less aggressive.

The Gnolls

Physical Description



Gnolls are extremely tall, with the average member of the race standing on average between 7' and 7'6". Though gnolls are relatively lean for their height, weighing in usually between 280 to 320 lbs, the race cuts an impressive visage. In part because of their height and lean musculature, gnolls are very quick compared with many other races such as humans. Gnoll skin is a greenish-gray, and their furry hide is light or dark brown marked sometimes with spots or stripes. Many gnolls also have a dirty yellow to reddish-gray crest-like mane that stands on end when a gnoll is angry.

Female gnolls are indistinguishable from males by size, in spite of a reputation for being shorter. In fact, so similar are male and female gnolls in appearance that they are often mistaken for one another. The only reliable way to tell the difference, other than through a close physical examination, is if a female is pregnant or openly nursing.

Gnolls have very short lifespans when compared with other sapient humanoids, living only 30 or so years on average and maturing to adulthood at a remarkable speed. Gnolls do not, however, age particularly dramatically except at the end of their lifespans, at which point the decline is sharp and deadly, quickly ending in death.

Psychology

Primal instinct remains a strong part of the gnoll psyche. Gnolls are natural predators and savor the thrills of the hunt. Almost all gnolls prefer the wilderness to the civilized enclaves favored by humans, dwarves, or other similar races and those that do take to cities usually think of them as just another kind of landscape.

Many other races find the gnoll psyche feral and aggressive, male and female equally, and the behavioral tendencies of the race can certainly give this impression. Gnolls start fighting among one another at a very early age and as soon as they can walk, many crawl into places away from the eyes of adults where they engage in vicious, often lethal battles. A gnoll is more likely to demand answers than it is to actually ask a question. Gnolls, however, do not see this as an act of hostility, but rather a basic demonstration of strength.

Some of the gnoll practices might seem strange, such as the gnoll propensity for scavenging. At its most basic level, this tendency leads many gnolls to collect trophies that remind them of past victories, items sometimes grisly though just as often simple and mundane,[4] Gnoll trackers sometimes use this to their benefit, keeping scraps of clothing or other objects with the scent of their prey on them, which they use to point them in the direction of their quarry.

This tendency can lead to the even more alien gnoll practice of carrion eating. Unlike most races, gnolls have few, if any, qualms about eating the dead of other races. When gnolls strike a village they do not only leave no survivors but no corpses, eating most of those whom they don't take as slaves. There are even indications that some gnolls take this practice a step further, actually raiding graveyards for fresh corpses on which to feed.

Culture

In spite of the savage nature of the gnolls, there are some aspects to their culture that are not inherently repulsive. Gnolls place a very strong value on family for instance, respecting blood ties perhaps more than any other aspect of a relationship. Though gnolls within a pack commonly fight with each other for dominance, these battles are quickly forgotten after their resolution, and in most situations, gnolls of the same bloodline are loyal friends and allies to one another. These bloodlines are almost always traced maternally, through the female line.

This loyalty to family is particularly obvious during combat, either with rival gnoll packs or other races. Gnolls who fight side by side regularly throw away personal glory in order to help their brethren. Perhaps most surprisingly, when a gnoll is separated from clan and family their instinctive need for such blood ties may lead them to form a surrogate "pack" from those whom they choose to befriend. To these unlikely allies the gnoll is as loyal and faithful as they would their own brothers or sisters, embracing the outsiders as if they were family.

Though most gnoll packs embrace their reputation for savagery, others refrain from such utter depravity. These clans are also nomadic but unlike the others rarely engage in violent raids except when seriously provoked. Likewise, though they retain the natural gnoll bloodlust they take no joy in torture or unnecessary cruelty, embracing hunting and tracking over outright slaughter.

In some cases these gnolls might even come to befriend or at least peacefully interact with the members of other races, offering their services as trappers or hunters. Generally, however, gnolls prefer their own kind and except when on business rarely visit neighboring villages dominated by members of another race. Likewise, these gnolls remain aggressive and quick to anger, meaning visitors should be careful not to offend.

Name: Arrak the Burner

Sex: Male

Race:

Dragon- Though he was not born a dragon, but a half-dragon, half-orc, the Dark God Grimnos chose him as the champion of the Dark Gods and turned him into a fully fledged dragon and now he has three forms, his pure orcish form, his half-dragon form and his full dragon form. Despite all these, he knows is a fully fledged dragon.

Age: 34

Religion:

Grimnos- patron deity of tyranny, war and strategy.
Afgur the Blood King- patron deity of anarchy, destruction and bloodshed(he follows only the latter of the two for Afgur)

Backstory:

Arrak was born 34 years ago, by two parents who did not seem to want him as they simply left him in the forests as a baby and though could have been the end of him, a large group of orcish raiders found the little half-orc/half-dragon baby and for whatever, instead of putting it out of it's misery, they decided to raise him as some sort of mascot of theirs, of course he would still take part in raids as such as soon as he could hold a weapon in his hand for more than 3 seconds.

And Arrak seemed to thrive with a such a job, mostly helped by his half-dragon from, which made him much more deadly than a regular orc. And as the years passed, the less his raiders treated him like a mascot and more like a comrade, resulting by the time he reached 20 years of age for the raiders to treat him like a brother both in combat and outside it, this was the closest that Arrak had come to have a true family.

However, for Arrak, life was becoming mundane with most days being the same, either they did nothing, or launched the occasional raid on a defenseless village with nobody to oppose them, it had become quite boring. And though he loved everyone, including their chief, as brothers, he decided that there needed to be a change in leadership in their raiding clan and so, he challenged the chief of his clan to a duel. The chief may have been quite old, but he was still one of the strongest orcs in this raiding clan, so the fight would not be easy... or so everyone else thought.

The duel lasted less than half a minute. The chief charged towards Arrak, but Arrak did not move one finger, instead, he opened his maw and breathed flames on the chief, burning him to ashes in only a few seconds. For a few moments, the onlookers were mute, they stared at what was supposed to have been a duel in disbelief... then they all roared in support of their new chief, Arrak the Burner.

Though soon, it was proven that Arrak would have deserved the nickname of Arrak the Savage for the boldness and the savagery of his attacks. Nobody would be spared from his bloody raids, humans, elves, samothaurs or even orcs, all of them suffered the same fate. A few special ones would be given the option to either die or join them in their bloody raids on everyone else and as one could imagine that did not sit well with a lot of people... or rather with anyone for that matter.

However his raids did not attract the attention of only mortal beings, but of a few certain immortal ones as well, though not ones a normal mortal might like to interact withwith. The first figure was a large one, clad in a imposing armor and with a stern look on his face.

The being introduced itself as Grimnos and - without taking Arrak's opinion - named him his champion. Now, Grimnos told him that he would bless both his mind and his body to be like none other. And while felt his mind grow sharper and his thoughts more organized, his body did not feel any different at all, until Grimnos himself said that in order for him to be better able to subdue his enemies, he turned him into a full dragon. However, as a final warning, the armor-clad god warned him that there would be consequences for these powers, though whatever those would be, the deity vanished before Arrak could find out.

Arrak did not even have time to sigh in relief, before a second being appeared. This one fit the textbook definition of a barbarian, a large muscular brute covered in blood and sporting quite the large and sadistic smile on his face. He - again, without taking Arrak's opinion in mind - named him his favored one, instead of his champion, since he already had become the champion of another Dark God. This god's name was Afgur the Blood King and somewhat true to his name, the blessings he received from the Blood King, allowed to spill him much more blood, namely, his body was strengthened nearly to point of the limits of his body.

The dark god Afgur offered him one last piece of info. The sole being that might be able to threaten his future rule of the world, Htraknu, a incredibly powerful dragon with something of a cult following. And on that point, the Blood King, vanished in thin air and his vision ended abruptly. At first, he was momentarily confused, he was not sure whether what happened was real or simply a hallucination... at least for a moment, before he turned into a large black dragon

Motivation:

The Dark God Afgur told him that Htraknu was one of the obstacles that would prevent him from taking over the world and ruling it with an iron claw. That meant that this prideful dragon had to be taken down from his pedestal, even if it meant that he had to temporarily team up with other people.

Magic:

Dragonflame: As a true dragon now, he can with ease breathe flames that are capable of melting even metal.

Conjure Armor: Though rather a odd spell, this spell allows him to conjure himself a set of plate armor for a few hours to protect himself from any enemy attacks.

Skills/Strengths:

Blessing of the Body: Arrak is very strong physically, even for an orc and with the strength he received from Afgur as a blessing, he is even more so, much over most humans, elves or most orcs.

Blessing of the Mind: While Afgur blessed his body, Grimnos on the other hand blessed his mind, making him something of a charismatic genius.

Weaknesses:

If dragons were considered to be prideful and egotistic, then they have nothing on Arrak, upon receiving his gifts from the Dark Gods, he became very prideful, thinking the world deserves to bow before him. This has not earned him many friends outside of his raider band.

Unspecified consequences for his blessings.

Gear: Other than the sword of the previous chieftan(in his orc form picture) he has nothing with him as any actual armor would be lost upon transformation.
