Current Played VA-11 Hall-A and I didn't realize that a bartending game could give me such an epiphany about my life, to be perfectly honest.

Bio

Well hello, what are you doing here, my friend?

Well, if you're still here and you wish to know more about me, then:

I'm a 22 fella who's currently in college and is trying to RP while attending college at the same time. I've been into roleplaying since about the mid 2013's, though I was really bad at it during the first year or so. I "migrated" to RPGuild around 4 years ago since the previous site had banned roleplaying due to a large influx of newbie roleplayers polluting the site with shitty RP's. Either way, since then I've been on this site quite regularly, except during a few occasions when real life took precedence and I had to vanish for a month or two.

As for writing capabilities, I'd like to think myself right now that I'm somewhere in-between casual and advanced levels of writing, though if I'm really into an RP, I'll tend to force myself to write something advanced. As for writing in general, you don't have to worry about that, I really love writing and I do it all the time even when I'm not roleplaying, though there are "dry" periods when my creativity seems to vanish for no discernible reason. General interests include most types of fantasy writing as long as it's properly written, though it has happened in the past for me to be interested in something when I thought I would like it, so if you have an idea and you want to roleplay, then pitch it to me and I'll tell you if I like it or not. As for smut, well, I'm not actively looking for one, but if you think you have an interesting idea, then feel free to pitch it to me.

Well, that's about it, if you want to know more personal stuff about me, or simply wish to have someone to talk to about any topic you so desire, then feel free to PM me.

Ranch House, Outskirts

"A new visitor, one of them is out an..." he clicked his tongue as he peered through scope of his sniper rifle. "Well, the mutant thing is out now as well, so I guess two of them are out of the house. Thank god it isn't anyone more... unpleasant." he mumbled as he thought of the more sadistic people part of the Wanderers and while he accepted the fact that killing was part for the course in the ashlands, but making the victim suffer before you kill them was unnecessary, very few people - he found out - deserved that sort of suffering, he imagined that their sadism was why they had a price on their heads, but that did not explain the rest of the members, those that only wished to live peacefully, why did they have bounties on their heads...

He looked through the scope, he imagined it would be easy to take out the man that was outside right now, but that would be loud, it would attract attention and there would be no way of collecting proof that the man had died, even if he did truly die... well, that if he really was out to kill any of the Wanderers. These people were like a sort of extended family, he figured that if he killed anyone part of their group, they would be out and about for the one who killed their family.

He started at the scene for a few more seconds, before rising up from the dirt and placing the sniper on his back. He inspected his pouches to see if his grenades were there, he inspected both his pistols and his sniper to see if they were stocked on ammo, he inspected if his hunting knives were as sharp as they could be, and finally, he concentrated for a moment to see if his gift was up. Even though he was sure that everything had been ready since he had woken up, he figured it would not hurt to check again, after all, lack of preparation had killed in the past.

"Alright, Specter, don't fuck this up or you'll most likely end up dead." he said, more to himself than to anyone else, holding a knife in one hand and a pistol in the other, even if things would not get heated, he needed to be ready for all possibilities, no matter how low the chances of them happening were. "Here goes nothing!" he said to himself once again before walking in stride towards the house the Wanderers had called home.

Specter kept his mind as empty and devoid of thought as he could, the group had a telepath and even if he did not mean any harm, some of his thoughts about preparing about every scenario might be miscontrued as him actually wishing to carry out said scenario. The only thought he kept in mind was "I come in peace, do not be hostile!" he felt like that in itself might make a telepath worry even more, but he didn't want to take any risk.

As soon as he got close enough to Toby, he stared at the man, he had a gun and from the way he was holding it, he probably knew how to use it, he figured that if it came to a shootout, he would react faster and shoot first, he wasn't as sure about the thing, about Rei, she was a unknown variable in this, he did not know how quick she was, how quick she would react and it made him slightly tense up. It would be worse if the recognized who he was, the fame he had gained as the head-hunter/bounty hunter Specter, could be considered more of a disadvantage that it would an advantage, then, he mentally calmed himself and spoke, his arms tensing up, ready to rise, should it come fighting.

"Hello, Wanderers!" he spoke out slightly louder than he had intended. "I come here in peace, with a warning and an offer if you will and if you know who I am, then know that I am not after any of you, I simply wish to speak... that's all!" He raised his hands to show that he was not a threat, hoping his tone would be enough to convince them that he was not a threat, since his mask was still on at the moment.

Because if they did not, then things would get ugly.
Oh, the mental resistance thing isn't complete resistance to mentally based gifts, it's as you said, the ability to keep his mind empty when near telepathically gifted people, though I suppose I could have worded it better myself. Also, as for the ghost thing, instead of six hours a day, how about he can maintain his gift in short bursts, like a keeping the gift up a minute, then he needs 10 minutes of rest in order to be able to use it again, would that work?

Erubesco, The Citadel

The moment Aran seated himself, the meeting had begun, there were quite a few people here he was familiar with. First of all, the star of Erubesco, the poster child of the nation, none other than Korra Norrevinter herself, he wondered why someone like her was present for the meeting, she wasn't the brightest mind one could find around here, maybe he would use his gift on her, find out a bit more about her past and see what secrets she held.

However, his sights once again moved along the people in this meeting and saw quite a few people he only seen by sight, but never truly heard anything about, most of the time, because he did not care about them that much, but now that they were present here, his interest in them was certainly piqued now that they were present here. However, as his sight wandered around the table, his sight fell not on one of the people at the table, but the one arranging the food and offering the service talk, a young girl covered in scars, stitches and bandages all over the place, for a moment, she seemed familiar and he soon realized why. After some of his least successful experiments died when trying to insert an extra gift in them, their minds were blown... all over the floor most of the time and this girl was the one cleaning said mind off the floors.

"No problem, young girl, I myself have just arrived, no need to apologize!" Aran smiled at the girl and placed his hand on her shoulder, as a way to make her feel a bit better about herself, he had to maintain his reputation within the facility as a compassionate man. However, the moment he touched her, his gift activated and he attempted to peer into the girl's mind, to see what she was all about, her history, why she was being experimented on and by whom, these were all questions floating around his mind and he hoped that she would not try to resist, or he would not be able to find out anything about her and he could exactly force her on this... especially here and this moment.

After a few seconds, giving up no other emotions, Aran removed his hand from the girl's shoulder and smiled towards Commander Madison, raising his hand before she would start to speak.

"Ah, I'm sorry for interrupting, mister Madison, but I need to make a quick request here." he said rising from his seat, towering above everyone else. "As a few people here know, my currently assigned mission is to create artificial gifts and attempt to find a way to place them within another person with a gift already. Essentially, what I'm currently trying to do is to attempt to create people that are able to use more than one gift, super soldiers, if you will." he said, his expression turning completely serious as he stated explaining his mission now... and his grievances.

"As you can all imagine, it is taxing enough on the mind already to handle one gift, more than one would result on the brain of the victim to essentially overload and short circuit something which results in their death. However, I've found whilst testing that particularly mentally gifted characters are able to take that second gift without their brain simply stopping to function altogether, even though they often went insane from the process which in itself means it is a failure, but that only served to help me get closer to my assigned mission." He smiled all the time he explained the process and though he imagined that people would either be bored by this, or slightly terrified by the fact, he was proud by what he was doing.

"However, in the past few months I've been supplied only with low quality individuals, like captured enemy grunts, low quality serfs... no offense, my lady." he said, looking at Caddie for a moment before turning towards the two Commanders. "When I started these experiments, I was supplied with both low quality individuals and individuals who would actually help my task progress, but now, the best thing I can look up to in my experiments is their brains simply overloading and dying. The worst thing about it, is their damn heads exploding and making a mess!" he says, looking quite annoyed by what he was speaking about. "I know it isn't that easy to get smart people to be my experiments, we need those bright minds to help us advance, but what I am basically doing here is executing people and I did not become an Alchemist to kill people, so if you would please take this into consideration and bring me proper subject... it would really help me advance my experiments."

With that, he looked around at everyone and their expressions before bowing at the two present Knight Commanders. "Thank you for listening to my selfish grievances, you may proceed, Mr. Madison."

And with that, Aran seated himself once more, he sort of expected a negative answer to his grievance, but nonetheless it did feel good to take this matter off his chest and did the best he could not smile from the relief he felt from having done this.
Wait... didn't we decide that my guy was a senior researcher directly under Madison? Huh... oh well, will edit it right away!
Aran sighed in disappointment as he looked at the body before him. A young handsome fellow, blue eyes, blonde hair, a soft face. He imagined someone like him would have been popular with the ladies back in Liberty, but by some bad luck, he had been captured and made prisoner during one of the many skirmishes between the two nations, it wasn't something very unnatural really, people were captured in wars all the time, often enough imprisoned until the war ended.

However, this young man had the horrible luck of being picked as one of his own experiments and he seemed so confident when he was first dragged in here, soon though he started screaming as another gift was forcefully placed within him and then, only moment afterwards his brain simply stopped functioning after it was overloaded with something it could not handle. He'd feel some pity for this young man, or the family he had back home, well, at least if he could properly feel emotions.

He moved towards one of his seats and as soon as he did, a message was relayed over his earpiece. He needed to be in a meeting right now, his superior, the Knight Commander Madison Lewis Lovette, a person he was slightly jealous of as she took the place that should have been his... however, he did respect the young man's knowledge about gifts in general, even if he did prefer wearing women's clothes.

He simply sighed and rose from seat, staring at the dead body of the young man for another moment before leaving his personal workplace. He got to the meeting just as his superior got there as well. He put on his best smile and entered the room shortly after her and bowed towards everyone else. "I am very sorry, I was caught up with a experiment, I'll explain it in the meeting a bit later if anyone is curious about what it was about." With that, he took his seat, which incidentally happened to be right next to Madison's own, staring briefly towards him, still smiling, like he always used to. "Alas, I'm afraid it failed... such a loss."

And with that, Aran looked towards the one in the front, the Knight Commander Lulu Botrelle. He had heard quite a few things about her, this would be quite the interesting meeting considering the people involved.
Darrien stared at his opponent, her palms straightened out as she mimicked two blades out of them. Her look was one of focus, but he could already see the annoyance in her expression. Of course, the fact that she was quite shorter than him must have contributed to said annoyance as well, though he imagined that the fact that he was able to quite easily dodge all her attacks up until now without retaliating must have been the main cause of frustration

Though emotions were still foreign to him, he did get out some enjoyment from sparring with his younger sister, maintaining his own skills and improving that of his sister, though he guessed that in order to improve one's combat skills, both people needed to actually fight and him dodging her attacks with such ease could not be called true combat. However, as his brain was processing all the moves she was doing and predicting all the moves she was trying to do, his earpiece started to beep slowly, probably an incoming message from their appointed knight commander.

Before the second beep even started, his sister attempted a lunge with one of her hands towards his neck, however, displaying his amazing reflexes, he grabbed her by the forearm stopping the attack a mere inch from his neck, the blue plasma shining brightly close to his neck before vanishing, it seems she truly did not want to kill him. Her second attack was a lunge with her second hand, this one, however, he dodged and before his sister could try and use on of her feet for a third attack, he stopped her.

"Hold on, dear sister, we have a message from our dear Knight Commander." A moment of confusion passed, his sister probably thinking this was some sort of trick, before freeing herself from his grip and grabbing her earpiece just in time to hear the message.

“Good morning, team leads and representatives. This is Commander Botrelle, checking in to remind you of your expected attendance at this morning’s quarterly research forum. We have a visiting guest, and several matters to discuss, so I expect to see every one of your lovely faces in the Oak Room on Level One Below in fifteen.”

It was what he expected, he knew about the meeting each and every second, but if he had to choose between the meeting and sparring with his sister, then it would have not been even a contest, the meeting would have had to wait a bit more, though from the glares his sister threw his way, she was probably not of the same opinion.

The moment he finished donning trademark crimson, he walked for the exit trusting that his sister would follow suit as well and true enough, he heard another pair of light steps and judging by their force of impact, they were his sisters steps alright. It took them about ten minutes to get there and when he entered he could already see Commander Lulu in her seat, having already prepared most of her needed materials for this meeting, but amazingly enough, other than her, they were the first to arrive there.

"Commander, always a pleasure to see you!" Darrien bowed slightly to show respect towards someone of a higher rank and spoke in the most pleasant tone he could muster, though judging from her personality, he guessed that she might have seen through his veil of chivalry and saw the true person behind it, but for once in his lifetime, he could not guess what this person thought. Afterwards, he simply took his seat by the table, the second one to the commanders right and awaited.

His sisters greeting was much less formal than his own, with a simple nod of acknowledgement and a "Commander!" before taking her own seat, the second seat to the Commanders left. It was somewhat amusing that they were placed so symmetrically to one another, for a moment, he thought that maybe the seats were placed like this on purpose, before realizing that command could really not be bothered where the two sat and that this was a mere coincidence.

He turned his head towards the commander, but before he could say anything else to Lulu, the rest of the group arrived, including one of his "friends" and former partners Korra Norrevinter. "Hello, partner!" He smiled as he greeted her and though she was brash most of time, he found the time he spent with her quite enjoyable, especially on the knights they went out, she drank many people under the table and though he himself avoided getting drunk, it was amusing to see men as big as her passed out.

However, before he could say another word, everyone was seated and the meeting started out.

@Claw2k11 Open world roleplays are all about having a ton of characters involved to wander about and do their own thing, so don't worry. :) It's a fairly hands-off deal GMwise, and even then my Co-GMs do an excellent job of helping me out.

Also, in regards to Alya, there's just a few things that I need to poke at (again, sorry for all the trouble!). The first is her railgun ability. I'm not quite sure how it works, and I also feel that twice the speed of sound might be a bit too strong, myself. There's also another electricity user submission as well, and while I'm not forbidding multiples of the same Gift, it could potentially run the risk of rendering one obsolete. Would that be alright with you?

Hey, if you feel like you can do it, then who am I to stop you!

The railgun thing was more of a reference to something I watched a while back, it doesn't really have to be there. Yes it is fine with me, I have something else in mind if this doesn't work, also people should have the same type of gifts once in a while(the NPC's I mean), after all, I doubt that everyone currently living in the world has their own unique power.

Also, the character sheet has been revised, I hope all is well!

@Claw2k11 That's a very good point you have there, Claw, and I appreciate your input. c: I'd like to keep the character gates open throughout the RP because it's an open world, however, and I know that in a lot of RPs, there tends to be a lot of interest initially before people start vanishing or leaving. I'd rather start off strong and try to maintain than close down on character submissions and risk winding up with only a few people left, you know?

I understand, I just didn't want you overextend... anyway, I have gotten my second character up and ready, is she good to go?
