@KatherinWinter "No thanks. I don't need them out yet, and they don't restrict any movements I might immediately find necessary. " He said as he cleaned himself up a bit.
"She must think I'm dumb as a rock" He thought in the process. "She can't seriously think someone who passed through this kind of shit would expect anyone in here to offer help with no benefit to be taken "
He then turned towards the girl with a smirk of his own. "So, Miss Not-A-Mouse, what are our clues on this classified-intel treasure hunt? "

@KatherinWinter"No? Okay then. It's a shame; it's my personal favorite. I've been trying to make it glide lately. " He then softly launched the bird forwards. It started gliding for a couple of seconds, then turned the wrong way and planted itself into the ground of the gym.
"Not that much luck with it either" he sighed in dissapointment as he picked the bird up while it was turning back into a pen , "I have seen paper planes fly better than that. It most likely needs an intelligence of sorts to stabilize itself. Until then, I'll have to find a workaround. "

@KatherinWinter "Whoah, a living creature?! That I did not expect" he said on the sight of the ferocious purple aanimal. He could now obviously see that she tried to intimidate him again, and that she interpreted his machine gun as a threat of his own.
He knew that this exchange could escalate quicker than he would like to, so he decided to calm down spirits a little. "I didn't yet have any chance with those. I have achieved some crude imitations, though " He proved his point by turning his machine gun into a convincing enough blue bird.
"This is merely an automaton. No emotions, no spirit. It merely flaps is wings every once in a while and chirps happily when you pet its head. " He handed her the bird. "Wanna try?"
@KatherinWinterNah, don't worry about it too much. I will have thought of something when I need to mention it, and it will most likely be a minor plot point at best.
Deus was dragged up a bit more before being eventually kicked out of their grapples.
@KatherinWinter "Find the cheese? Mice? I'm not sure I get it" he replied to the black haired girl he landed next to, while slowly standing up. "But do let me tell you, I ain't no mouse to anyone. "
@KatherinWinterYeah, that must be it :P
Seriously though, I generally dislike the "a wizard did it" solution. I prefer using a bit more fleshed out reasoning.
@KatherinWinter Okey dokey then.
Now, on top find a way that he would not be able to influence the device of him. Hmmm...
Suddenly, two guards appeared in the green hall. Between them was dragged along a tall, black-haired boy. He did not resist; he was beyond that, and its not like it would make a difference anyway. His hands were immobilised by normal steel handicuffs, instead of the standard- issue plasma-locked cuffs, partly because he still would not resist, but mostly because the old school cuffs were completely mechanical and had minimal moving parts.
This boy was known as Deus.
Real Name: John Pantazis
Code Name: Deus
Age: 17
Skills: Electronic Warfare, Hacking, Countermeasure Commander (Fixed-Wing Aircraft, Navy)
Appereance: 5'9", Black Hair, Brown Eyes, White Skin, Athletic Build. Common apparatuses are futuristic visors or black edged shades. Only wears optical glasses or eye contacts when absolutely needed.
Powers:
Mechanopathy
Colloquially known as "Machine Empathy", John has the ability to feel and influence machines through physical contact or through means as radar and lasers (provided he performs Mechanopathy on those devices first)
Electrical Manipulation
John also has the ability to influence other electrical sources, such as control panels, capacitors, or even wires of large enough diameter.
Bio: John is the son of George Pantazis, a Greek immigrant working im conjuction with the US DoD. He was a teen genius by the age of 14. in which age he became an amateur hacker; his skills had reached almost professional level during the span of two years.
One day, he stumbled upon his father's files, and realised that some of the safeguards were down. His father did not realise that, which gave John the time to, after two weeks, break the rest of them and, ooverwhelmed by curiosity, open and copy the files to his computer.
Those files concerned the latest project his father was working on. Codenamed Project Space Odyssey, it concerned the development of the government's first fully functional Artificial General Intelligence. For security reasons, only a portion of the code was assigned to his father, but it still intriqued John. Three days later, FBI agents kidnapped both him and his father; each of then we're imprisoned and tortured in different sectors, and George Pantazis' fate is still unknown outside of the Bureau's agents.
John's name and history were erased from all official records- and presumably so were his father's- and eventually assigned to the Experimental Army agency, where he was exposed to an incomplete version of the AGI through the influence of certain drugs. The details are classified, but the result was the boy's ability to influence the programming of machines empathically, which was then augmented to also influencing the hardware of those through electrical currents.
He was allowed to choose his new name. He chose the name Deus, supposedly because of the phrase "Deus ex Machina", but actually because it was a highly convoluted attempt to keep his last name alive.
Unintentional duplicate.
Akward....
