Gonna be out for the day, people, so I won't really be RPing much.

Bio

Hey, there. Myst here, as you've probably guessed. Can't exactly write in other people's bios, can you? But, you're probably reading this for a reason, so I'll get to it.

I prefer high-Casual and Advanced games, in a medieval, fantasy or sci-fi setting, because that's the sort of nerd I am.

I'm a thinker - I've thought a lot on certain things, and am firm in my beliefs. So you could ask me what I thought about a good few things and I could give a well-reasoned answer. Or a less reasoned answer based on my morals.

TheCharactersOfMyst - This is my storage for past and present characters, and where I might occasionally go for nostalgia and/or recycling a character I've used before.

*sighs* School, eh? Can't live with it, and you can't live without it, either.
Banned for inertia.
@Rekaigan Good question! Tech levels can be weird if you want -- in my head I'm thinking most of the time clockwork is the highest tech, but some places will have steam, railroads, early-era electricity. But if you also want to crack open a soda can, go for it.

As far as the world goes, I don't think "magic" exists much in the usual sense, but sometimes nature works in peculiar ways: floating rocks and flying islands, goopy living glowing liquid that can power lightbulbs, plants with significant alchemical effects, etc.

In general though, feel free to suggest whatever feels right for your character and where they live -- if necessary we can tweak it so it fits securely in everything else. :)

Hmm... well, that means flintlock pistols and rifles, maybe better. You're thinking late-Georgian/Regency to early Victorian (even though I'm pretty sure that electricity was a mid-Victorian invention, not later.)

Time to break out an old friend of mine...

Huh? I thought that moving directly diagonally would've worked. 3 movement, going D6 > D9 > D13 > E1. But sure, if D19 is as far as I can take him, sure. I've got large potential for movement, anyway.
I'll voice my interest. This is a good idea. And I'd like to see where it takes me.
In the time that I have known of Poi's existence, I have seen their avatar change twice.
A fact about myself;

I am being held against my will by unsanctioned means and you should probably send me help. My location is -FZZZZT!

Connection Lost...
Indeed it is. People can change from day to day, and if it isn't agreeable to them, I suppose then ultimately, it is their loss.

However, I think you may also want to think of this other person's perspective. While some people are not bothered by minute changes, or even barely notice them, it's not always the same. Some people are dependent on a stable environment or routine - such as people with OCD, who feel the incessant need to do things in certain ways at certain times, or else their whole world will come crashing down. As someone with Asperger's Syndrome, I, too, can be bothered if certain things don't turn out how I expected them to. Their reasons may not be the same as you perceive them to be. Some people are just babies about it, true... but, for others, it's more... complicated.

In summary; you can look in a mirror to see around the corner, but if you're not looking around the corner with your own eyes, can you truly say you know all of what's on the other side? Thus, do not pre-emptively say you know so, and act accordingly.
