@Lonewolf685 Oh I get that, but sometimes appearances are as important (or even more so) as the truth. If you took it as an accusation then I apologise, I was just pointing out how something so seemingly minor could upset someone.
Also my concern about the speed is less about you and more about the... short attention span people tend to have in this hobby, I'm sure you've dealt with that before.
I can see why people would get upset by this, it kinda gives off that "GM's friend that gets special treatment at the cost of the game" feel which can ruin the fun for others, but if that's not the case everything should be fine.
What does really worry me is how long the intro posts are taking, because who knows how many people will still be around by the time we find out what the new location is.
Oh, I'm kinda surprised then. Sandboxes tend to take a lot of responsibility off the GM's shoulders since the players are typically making their own fun with the GM only stepping in to direct things when needed/when they want to introduce something new.
Since you're limiting players, I take it you plan on being more hands on rather than sandbox style? I'm cool with either, but it's nice to know what to expect.
Sporting their favorite outfit, a magenta tracksuit with a matching newsboy cap over their armor, Captain Endemia sat in the highest row of the amphitheater. They had learned early on that students were fond of throwing things, often sharp things which could slip between Endemia's armor and unleash their gifts on the school. While the idea excited the captain, the faculty made it very clear that such an accident would result in expulsion... Out of a cannon... Into the sun. That idea was not exciting.
The captain watched as the other students filed in, and despite their best attempts at subtlety, it was incredibly obvious they were looking. The suit, for all the good it did everyone, had a few flaws such as the helmet being connected to the torso. To look to their sides, the captain had to twist at the waist and the bulkiness of the suit combined with the bright colors naturally drew eyes to their direction. Deciding that it might seem less weird if they spoke to the passing students, Endemia cleared their throat and made an attempt. "Hi... Hello... There's a seat here... Hey..."
Perhaps it was their mysterious aura, or the sound of the speaker, or maybe even their fashion sense; but whatever it was, people seemed to walk faster when passing by the kind and generous captain. Eventually Endemia noticed just how empty the seats around them were, and they slouched into their seat, hoping to make themself less visible. Hopefully the speech would start soon and they could be spared of further embarrassment.
Almost as if their thoughts were heard, the speech soon started and Endemia forgot their shame. The headmaster promised all sorts of fun and excitement but were soon followed by sinister laughter, which honestly was expected. Perhaps the fun would involve lava hot tubs or an eight hour bus ride to somewhere fun, immediately followed by an eight hour bus ride back since the field trip is only a day long.
"Fun. Woohoo. So excited." They struggled with feigning excitement, but even if they managed to pull it off, the suit's speaker would have made it sound the same as this feeble attempt. "Into the portal we go."
• Appearance: Unknown. Captain Endemia has yet to be seen without their specialized hazmat suit on. It's a typical yellow hazmat suit modified with armor plates, most of which have a biohazard warning sign. The helmet of the suit has a full face visor tinted black and only a faint swirling mist can be seen through it on the outside. • Name: Cassidy Arkwright • Title: Captain Endemia • Species: Human • Abilities: Ultimate Host - Captain Endemia was born with the perfect body to host, and not suffer the effects of, any disease.
• Skills: Knowledge of diseases - Captain Endemia knows everything there is to know about disease and how to spread them, even diseases that aren't normally contagious. Their preferred method of spreading disease is with a mysterious fluid made through means they refuse to discuss.
• Inventory: Powered Hazmat Suit - This armored suit protects Captain Endemia from harm, but the primary intent is to keep the outside world safe from the diseases in their body. While the helmet has a glass face, the heavy tinting along with a mysterious swirling mist obscures their face from the outside.
The Bubble - A small, mobile fortress where Captain Endemia can truly feel at home and even remove their armor without the risk of unleashing a plague.
Captain Endemia's Heralds of Plague - Despite the intimidating name, they're really just RC cars and drones with misting fans attached filled with the Captain's mysterious disease cocktails.

The mighty treads of The Bubble tore the road apart as it sped towards its destination. The Pleasesantville Shopping Mall. Within The Bubble, Captain Endemia double checked the contents of the canisters on the Heralds of Plague. "Easily more than enough. I could probably get everyone in town with this if everything wasn't so spread out. Easiest hundred all year."
As The Bubble neared the mall, Captain Endemia begun the long process of getting back in their armor. While they wanted to spread disease, such a vulgar method as simply walking through a crowd in normal clothing was tacky, uninspired, and would likely lead to the proctor tossing the Captain into some sort of demonic hell vent or a dire pit of spikes. Such thoughts frightened Captain Endemia to some degree, but mostly because it would be a waste of their unique gift. The Captain sighed dreamily as they pictured a world ravaged by the wondrous gift of disease. What lifeforms would survive such a world? Would the Captain be left alone, or would others share their gift?
Before much thought could be put into this, The Bubble alerted the Captain to the fact that they had arrived, and naturally, the police had formed a blockade, in the vain hope that they could stop The Bubble. However, Captain Endemia decided to humor them for a moment and stopped The Bubble. Turning on a speaker system, Endemia's heavily filtered voice boomed out to the police.
"I, Captain Endemia, come bearing gifts. However you seem intent on stopping me for some unknown reason. Perhaps you do not understand, perhaps you assume I am some sort of... Domestic terrorist? Please understand, I am simply here to share my joy with all of mankind."
A hatch under The Bubble slid open and dropped one of Captain Endemia's Heralds of Plague, a fast moving black RC car adorned with flame decals, which raced towards the thin blue line that was determined to stop progress. A few of them opened fire, but couldn't keep up with the zigzagging path and the herald unleashed a sickly green mist on the blockade, causing them to scatter.
"Gentlemen, behold the first of my gifts. The gum disease, GINGIVITIS!"
A shrill bell rang out, startling Captain Endemia and telling them they need to get outside now. RIGHT NOW.
A stern looking demon holding a clipboard stepped out from behind a nearby tree and approached The Bubble.
"Cassidy Arkwright! I am very disappointed in you! Gingivitis? Of all the diseases, you choose gingivitis? I expect an explanation for why you're wasting everyone's time with this pathetic display!"
Stepping out of The Bubble, Cassidy jogged to the test proctor.
"Sir, I just thought... Gingivitis would be funny I guess?" "Funny? We're not here for funny, we're here for evil." "Well yeah, but-" "No buts!" "But!" "NO! BUTS!"
Before the proctor could continue, the faint sound of clacking caused his ears to perk up. "Uhh, boss? That human skin you gave us melted off." Behind him stood a crowd of bleached white skeletons in poorly fitting police uniforms. "Well, I suppose you passed Cassidy. Next time you should try explaining yourself before I get worked up." "But..."
• Other: Captain Endemia's voice comes out heavily distorted while in the suit. Anything they say is still understandable, but makes the tone of their voice imperceptible. (I.E. their happy tone and angry tone sounds the same.)
