Tagging: @Williwaw@Holy Soldier@The AbyssAs Sheeban continued her perfectly crafted speech, it finally clicked for Beryl. This wasn't to intimidate her or anyone else in the room as there were far better ways to do that. Clearly, this was something Beryl herself did on a daily basis, which made her feel a little disappointment over not realizing it sooner. This was Sheeban's sales pitch, but it was a mystery as to what she was trying to accomplish.
"If that's so, then that simply means that children and the superstitious are smarter than you are." Beryl then retrieved the crystal she had just put away and held it towards the giantess. "I will never submit to you, but I will do you the favor of not hurting you too much when I win." She then gestured at Sheeban's hulking physique. "Unlike you, I don't need to rely on brute force. I'll have you beat before you even realize it." She then tossed the crystal to Sheeban before continuing. "Hold onto that in case you get matched up against someone else, I'd hate to find out that you lost to someone else." Since Beryl knew that Sheeban was like her, it was safe to assume that she could tell as well, so hopefully she could see the gift, as worthless as it was, as a sign of solidarity between shysters.
With her part done, Beryl then walked out the door and headed towards the tailgate lot in search of chumps willing to buy her cheap crystals or fortunes vague enough to apply to nearly any sort of happening. What she found however, was something sure to hurt her sales. A pair of strangely dressed loonies were causing a scene. The larger of the two was dressed in a similar manner to the backwards hicks in her past that she was so desperate to escape and had lifted the smaller one, who was wearing a strange vest, off the ground. But stranger than their clothes was the tail on the small one, which apparently was a trait shared with the larger one based on his words. "What on Earth is this?"
Noticing the young woman and old man nearby, she figured if anyone knew what was going on, it would be them. "Ah, excuse me, I am but a wandering witch seeking to help those in need. Is everything alright here?" Whatever it was, Beryl knew it needed to stop now, she could already feel these hijinks cutting into her potential profits and such an evil must never be allowed to happen. She just hoped that if they did ask for help, they would offer to pay for it. It hurt her enough already to give away a crystal for free.
