Name: Zachary Wahler Appearance: Personality: He's a jerk, but he's a loveable jerk. He's an expert in anything powered by electricity and he loves to crack a joke, though many times it is at another's expense. Generally, he's likeable, but he has his moments. Colony of Origin: Tau Volantis Colony Colony Description: Tau Volantis is a colony of master engineers. Being an engineer on Tau Volantis is an impressive feat, since that's where the best of the best go. The high regards given to engineering is caused by the fact that Tau Volantians revere science. They believe that the best defense is through superiority, and this ideal has kept their planet safe from potential attackers for generations. The planet has always put science first, usually utilizing it merely for the sake of having an advantage over potential enemies. Thanks to their impressively advanced arsenal, the planet has only ever been in one war, which they won. They use Virtual Reality to keep their troops' minds sharp, however, so extended eras of peacetime have not softened them. WIP from this point on. Weapons: (Brief description of weapons' effects and what they do. Pictures are fine for this as well, but no deep description of its appearance is necessary.) Misc: (Anything I've forgotten or that you deem necessary for your character.)
I think I'll just wait to see if I can handle four characters. I've never done more than three in a single roleplay before.
> Alright, before putting out a CS, I need to ask something. If I pick a character, do I have to use their official canon personality? > > I mean, I was thinking of using Bjorn the Fell-Handed from Warhammer 40k, only using his 1d4chan personality... By which I mean, I mean to play him in his only incarnation that gives him a unique and interesting personality. See, 40k has this weird notion that giving a character a laundry list of cool shit they have done in the past, and giving them a personality are the same thing... They are not. GW Bjorn is a generic "I am a big angry space marine, EMPRAH AND WOLVES FOREVER!!!" character like every single other Space Wolves character, but 1d4c gave him actual personality traits, such as his dislike of Russ for being a jerk that gave him the name "The Fell-Handed" after finding him masturbating behind a boulder and ratting him out to everyone. Or how he absolutely hates the Iron Priests because they keep overloading his body with more Wolf iconography when he's asleep. Or how he despises Logan Grimnar, because the old fart only wakes him up ever other century, in order to tell the kids stories of how great Russ was. And how he wishes more than anything that he can go back to war. > > Would I be allowed to do this? 2 other plays have already told me "Canon personality or nothing!" Please have mercy on my fun idea T.T Undoubtedly. Just label your character as AU instead of canon and you'll most likely be alright.
> sorry sorry sorry ive been really busy lately I'm not fauliting you for anything. We all have those times. I just want to keep the interest in this thing up. > Anyone else notice that you have to put two 'enters' between your lines to actually make stuff drop down now? > What's up with that? Yeah, noticed it when I tried to make a Character Sheet. It's annoying.
Something is definitely starting to come together for a Shadow Eternity character, but I may not use it since we have so many characters already.
Awesome. Will be added in momentarily.
> > @Dead Cruiser: It seems like something unavoidable, maybe you can find someone else? > > > > As for the picture, it doesn't seem bad to me but honestly I wasn't too concerned with finding a picture like that right now. ^^; > > > > I always feel like it's kind of a movie poster where they can't show every important character, really. > > Fair enough. To be honest, I've only read a few of the comics with Bolas in them, none of the books. > > I'm trying to think up a Shadow Eternity character to put forward, but it's difficult coming up with a generically villainous character. Which is all you can really do when we... don't really know anything about it. Just that it's evil, or something, and mostly antagonistic. > This guy is actually facing the same dilemma.
Hey Vita, what do you think about my question? > I may edit each of my characters a unique ability so I have some power variation to work with. For example, I may give Isaac a small, armed robot army that he uses for ship security and, to a smaller extent, in the field operations when necessary. Carver would get the ability to turn suit power into raw electricity and cast it using special suit functions, and Bannon would get Active Camoflauge/Invisibility cloaking for stealth stuff, which he would have gotten while he was doing black ops missions. Those sound good?
> It's just cool art that I found that features a collection of the characters and franchises that we're playing with. It's far better than anything I could come up with, and is probably a bit more cohesive than photoshopping a whole bunch of shit together. We could also draw, if any one of the 98 people in this RP are artists. But I like the image, in all seriousness. > > > Just at a glance, the art features Saber and Nono, two characters actually being played in the RP, and also features Madoka and Demonbane, two other franchises represented in the RP. > > > > That kinda gives that uneasy feeling that some characters are of a higher priority than others, and as writers I'm certain we would all love to be equally represented. I don't mind, but I'm just playing Devil's Advocate. > > > > If you want a cover photo, one of us could probably photoshop all of our characters into an awesome movie trailer-esque image. _That_ would be awesome. > > > name it attack of the poor-quality photoshop? > > ---- > > Also, concerning Frenzy as well as Blackout ... neither are aware of each other's presence yet. However, it is likely that Frenzy will show his true colors when he finds out his comrade is online ... unless he decides it's in his best interest to remain in his current position. Basically. XD It would really just present more of a sense of unity in the RP, with each of our characters represented in an image.

If you want a cover photo, one of us could probably photoshop all of our characters into an awesome movie trailer-esque image. _That_ would be awesome.
