@DeadCruiser: I don't feel that your post properly reflects Metanoia's awareness. Sure, he'll probably end up killing mindless nulls or even civilians turned against their will in the chaos, that's just the world the RP takes place within, but Metanoia is inexorably drawn towards beings who have committed atrocities so as to punish them, and he'd probably be able to find experienced vampires in the crowds who have done so many evils to other beings.
Posted. Metanoia might be breaking the rules by intervening directly, but mortals are in danger, so he doesn't care.
Metanoia would have joined the pantheon at Krona, if Mikazliqui had not made his move on the city. The sheer influx of atrocities coming in from Aroesus' fallen city brought the god of guilt to his knees, clutching his head in discomfort. All thought of joining his brethren above vanished, overwhelmed by his concern for the mortals below. Aroesus was dead, and his family incapacitated. No one was acting against the war god, so Metanoia decided to get involved once more in mortal affairs.

With a cry of anger, Metanoia transported himself to Caesilinus, determined to destroy every invading vampire. A blue light, shining like a comet, struck the city and a group of vampires with a divine wrath, crushing them under its existence. The light and wind cleared to reveal Metanoia, aglow with blue light and with a furious countenance.

"How dare you desecrate the mortals' blood!" he yelled at the vampires around him, who stood shocked at direct intervention against their father's commands. Metanoia remembered the martial skill of the general whose blood he was born from, and prepared for battle once more. If he had to, the Spectre of Sinners was going to kill every vampire in the city with his bare hands. His appearance shifted erratically, trying to find the victim of the worst crime these monsters had committed tonight. When he finally discovered it, that of a woman who was turned and ate her own child in her first primal moments as a vampire, Metanoia stepped forward and struck.

Sooner or later, Mikazliqui will pay for this. he thought, as his hands and feet cut through the beasts like they were paper.

One way or another, I will avenge the mortals. Caesilinus around him shone with burning blue, letting the people know that a god was battling among them. Whether they thought Metanoia fought on their behalf or against them, bystanders and civilians fled at the sight of Lady of Loss.
Still here; just taking my time writing Metanoia's anti-vampire intervention at the city. That should get some action going.
Oh, okay. So, Metanoia can know she was there, but he can't know what she did. Alright, then. Now he'll probably take some time to ask her why she was there before Eskellon, who was likely the first to confirm Aroesus' death so far.
Alright, then. No awareness within Krona, got it. I'll just either send Metanoia after Sileon, or talk to Dream, or to intervene in the mortal world as he usually does.
Double-post, because question bump.

@Fallen Muse: Could Metanoia, being knowledgeable of the past, have seen Avanid taking Aroesus' eyes? Or at the very least, be able to detect their presence and track it?

These also apply to any "children" of his, particularly the giant ones.

Name(s): Apex, Ruin, Saigai, Clades, Apada, Sakuna, and others depending on nation and time period.
Titles: Devourer of Dreams, Harvester of Hope, Endbringer, Father of Monsters, King of Cataclysms
Gender: Male
Patronage: Disaster, Power, Nature, Fear, Nightmares, Monsters, Storm, Volcano, Earthquake, Drought, Famine, Flood, Tornado, Hail, Meteor, Plague, Poison, Swarm, Insult, War, along with Humility, Respect, and Obedience.(weirdly enough)
Parentage: Ventu and Lake Sharzunates itself.
Pantheon/Affiliation: None, Imprisoned in Lake Sharzunates
Appearance: Apex will usually remain in his default form shown above, but he can take on other forms depending on the disaster he intends to cause. Whenever a man-made disaster is on the horizon, he will take on the appearance of a human who will experience the disaster very harshly before "dying," as a proclamation of mortal futility and vanity.

Centres of Worship/Places of Power:
Apex has no use for temples, for all he requires is that the mortals below his feet fear and respect him, and such things would be trampled under his feet eventually anyway. Given his ego and usual size, he would consider himself a place of power as it is, but he is also partial to volcanoes, fault lines, hurricane systems, and the breeding grounds of future plagues and swarms.

Servants, Prominent Followers and Worship Base:
Apex desires that the whole universe fear and respect him, so he claims no followers and worshipers in particular, as they can fall at his whim and a flick of his tail. However, Apex wants the universe to know what he has done to prove the gods' power over men. To this end, whenever he meets a mortal either particularly defiant against him or one respectful of his power without fear, he marks them with a powerful ancient magic to make them into a Harbinger. This magic allows the Harbinger to observe Apex's actions when he wants them to be seen, as well as survive them if they are near Apex when he strikes. These mortals are feared by others who know the truth behind their glowing veins, and they are seen as signals of doom. Which, frankly, they are.

Psychology: Apex is an arrogant, spiteful being. His only desire is do what he wishes with the universe, whatever that may be, and to keep the mortals under his heel for eternity. He hates civilization and progress among mortals, as well as their practice of magic, for to him that is theft of what belongs only to the gods. He is disrespectful to any gods not of the same generation as himself or below him in power and stature, which many are. He has a very special hatred for Aroesus and his ilk, for subverting the old ways of their shared father Ventu, who did as he pleased with the universe as Apex wishes to do. He is merciful to those who fear or respect him, and especially to those who do not fear death at his hands, without any ill will towards him. For to Apex, these are mortals who understand the fundamental truth of the reality they live in: that gods like Apex are forever higher than mortals, and can do as they wish with no heed to the mortals' objections.

History: Apex was born in response to Aroesus' rebellion. Seeking to create an ultimate weapon, Ventu laid with Lake Sharzunates itself to sire Apex. Apex was then released into the world, instinctively seeking to destroy what Aroesus and the other gods had created. He left few survivors where he went, and Harbingers remained to proclaim what he had wrought. He laid gods low whenever they resisted him, and pantheons fell before his roar. Finally, Aroesus and his brothers were able to subdue Apex and force him back into his mother's womb, where he was cast into a deep sleep. Finally, Aroesus could stop chasing his father's bastard son and take the throne. But Apex had mated with Malebazus and tore monsters, large and small, from her womb to cause strife in the world long after he was gone. As long as he remained, so would they; death and defeat made only for a temporary trip down to Malebazus before eventually returning to the mortal world.

Now that Aroesus has died and the guards have abdicated their posts, the chaos of Sharzunates is threatening to give birth to him once more. And when he awakes, he will bring disaster to the gates of his traitorous half-brother's pantheon, and show the worlds of spirits and men the true meaning of godly power.

Relationships: Apex is mated with Malebazus. He hates Aroesus, as well as any deity that claims to care for the mortals in any way or lends them aid.
Posted. Matthew doesn't understand this feeling inside, so he's going to fill the void with exercise and food! Yay, repression!
"S-see you around." Matthew could barely get out the words before Barbara disappeared, making her way towards a dorm that the young man had a sinking feeling she did not want to share with the twins. He was so confused by the output of her mood when their hands separated. First, she felt nervous around the twins, which was understandable as Matthew had broken into her mind and took her hand in his own in the space of an hour. Then she started getting comfortable around the two, which Matthew believed was because of his brother's friendly presence compared to his own. And now, in the moments before she left, he could tell she was experiencing some sort of...emptiness, and resignation that for some reason compelled her to part ways with the Garcias, perhaps permanently.

This hurt Matthew on a level that he didn't know even existed until now. He felt betrayed and broken up inside, though on the outside one could only see the shimmering in his eyes before they were harshly blinked away. Sensing his brother's discomfort, Miguel sent a message to probe his mood.

What's up, Matt? We'll see her later.

R-right, of course we will. There was a shakiness in his tone, something Miguel rarely heard from the self-assured database of knowledge that his brother represented in their life. To hear him like this was an alien experience that instantly set alarms off in Miguel's mind.

You alright, Matt?

Of course I am, Miguel! This rebuke was harsher than usual. Come on, let's get to a gym. We could use some exercise?

You mean, you need to blow off steam? Matt-

Move, Miguel. We need to workout. Aloud, Miguel sighed in resignation. His brother would tell him his troubles when he so desired.

Alright, then. We can use it to get a hunger before the party starts.

And get you into a shower. You smell terrible. Aloud, Miguel laughed for a moment before fading into chuckles. There was the snark that he knew, even if its tone wasn't completely invested in wit at the moment. They would be just fine, the two of them.

Like you're one to talk, Matt.
