As the Ravensbeak made its final approach to the temple, Garrern motioned to the figure standing at the back of the bay, apart from the rest of the soldiers. It was a heavy demolitions droid; the once bright orange pain of its chassis burned and blackened by the scars of perhaps one too many explosive mishaps. KD-50 (that was the droid’s identifier) however outright refused to get repainted, citing instead that the scars made him looks “all cool and camouflaged”. With the heavy clink of his metal feet the droid made his way over to the sith.

- “How come you fleshbags get to have all the fun?” – He quizzed with an annoyed tone, quiet enough not to be heard by others. As lenient as Garrern was with him KD was not stupid enough to openly show disrespect in front of the sith’s subordinates. – “Why am I sitting this one out Gar?”

Garrern looked the droid over, as if mulling over some thought then replied in an equally quiet tone.
- “I’ve a special mission for you KD, be discreet.”
The droid cocked his head to the side, perhaps the only one with enough perception to notice the unusually grim infliction in Garrern’s voice.

- “Is something wrong?”
- “Perhaps. I’ve had a dark premonition for this mission.” – Garrern then nodded towards the reserve stormtroopers who were not partaking in the assault. – “Take three troopers with you and prepare heavy ordinance for deployment.”
- “I get to blow stuff up?” – The droid failed to conceal his excitement.
- “Let’s hope not. Keep a voice channel open to me, exclusively. Move quick and quiet.”
With that he turned around, his cape whipping some unfortunate passerby technician in the face and headed towards the bay doors. It was undue for a commander to show worry in front of his soldiers, however to ignore the premonitions and not prepare would be even more irresponsible. Garrern simply chose to split the difference.

Garrern’s landing was perhaps a bit heavier than his compatriots, courtesy of the heavy armor, but he was always of a mind that landing with a bit of an impact made for a more intimidating entry. His brow furrowed under the helmet as he looked over the fortified defenses however. Ravensbeak was running stealth all the way through since they entered the system… so who alerted the guards? And with enough time to set up fortifications no less. The future he foresaw was coming true, and that was a great weight on his mind. Thankfully he instructed Rodecay with this possibility in mind, and the ace pilot skilfully veered the ship around and mowed the firing line down before they could cause trouble.

Maegr immediately proceeded to blow down the doors of the temple and head inside, Arianna in tow, as expected. Garrern sighed and hanged back waiting for Ansgar and the troops to land. Rushing in from the front was acceptable for a surprise attack, but if the enemy knew they were coming their attack pattern had to be changed.

Perhaps realizing the same thing Ansgar immediately approached the sith.
- “We were expected. Change of plans?”
Garrern nodded and raised his fist, the Shock troopers falling in line and awaiting orders at the sight of the signal. He looked over the hastily assembled ramparts and fortifications then raised his head to look at the anti-air gun.
- “The defense is too light; they had little time to prepare. If the force is with us they have not evacuated yet.” – Garrern turned to the commando. – “Split your men in two groups and go from the sides. Keep the enemy from fleeing the temple and drive them inwards onto my blade.”
He ignited his lightsaber as if punctuating the order.
- “In the meantime you personally take however many men you need and secure that AA gun. If they knew we were coming they could have requested air support from the capital. Ravensbeak will need support. Relay the new objective to Rodey and move out. Once you’re finished – find and keep an eye on Sond and Ari. Go.”

With the orders given Garrern turned around and headed into the temple. Maegr and Ari were nowhere to be seen, having most likely went off on a rampage elsewhere. Looking around the empty chamber he noted the mural painted on the limestone of the far back wall. Not by any means ancient it was a scene depicting the demise of the old Emperor at the hands of Darth Vader. The true triumph of light side over dark: the moment where the strongest sith chose to abandon the dark side. He couldn’t help it but get an eerie feeling from the mural. He had to destroy it. Had to.

Air shimmered in his clawed hand as Garrern gathered force into it for a second before thrusting out and letting it explode. The deafening roar of the Force Blast echoed off the walls as the unyielding, indiscriminate power of the shockwave crashed into the wall, limestone shattering and crumbling under its force. Dust filled the air but Garrern could still see the dozen or so guards that were scampering in a panic, on the other side of what used to be the back wall. Many of them were on the ground, knocked out by the shrapnel from the blast. Few panicked blaster shots whirred past him but he didn’t even bother deflecting them – they were never going to hit. The two jedi among the guards however drew his eye; temple instructors by the look of their clothes.

"Time to get to work" Garrern thought to himself as he stepped over the rubble into the room, limestone dust hissing as it hit his blood-red lightsaber.
Korpus V – The emerald jewel of Seti Arun system: lush jungles, coursing rivers and few and far in-between pockets of civilization. Many a Jedi has called this planet his alma mater, leading to a world that has known nothing but peace ever since the fall of the Empire. Alas, this was not meant to last…

As the planet made its infinite round around the sun, casting deep shadows out into the bottomless depth of space, one patch of the sky remained dark. A ship, sharp as a blade in form and black as the night in colour was slowly approaching the planet’s orbit. And as time would tell – peace was the furthest thing from the mind of its crew.

“Alright alright alright! Setting the approach vector to the coordinates of the Jedi Temple.” - Rodecay turned away from the controls, motioning his co-pilot to take over, and nodded to the figure at the back of the command bridge. – “Fifteen minutes to target.”

The figure, clad in black armour, cape and helmet nodded his satisfaction in return.

“Excellent. Send the word to others to get ready.” – Garrern’s booming voice rasped through the voice box in his helmet. – “How much time will we have?”

The cyborg pilot scratched his blond head for a moment then leaned back in his chair.
“Err, from my experience I’d say… roughly two hours from the moment we breach the atmosphere until the Republic fleet arrives. So you’ll have an hour and a half. We want the hyperspace wake to have gone cold by the time they get here. Can’t track us back that way.”

“That will be plenty.” – Rodecay could almost swear that the sith smiled behind his mask as he said that. – “Take the Ravenbeak low enough for us to jump, then swing about and provide fire support. I must re-join the others.”

Having said that Garrern turned around, whipping some poor technician in the face with his cape, and headed down the hall to the cargo bay. As the heavy blast doors slid open he looked over the group gathered inside – twenty of their best equipped shock troopers as well as his three friends that were all in midst of equipment checks.

Ansgar stopped fidgeting with his flamethrower and looked up at the sith with a silent question in his eyes. Or perhaps not so silent. With Lorrdians it was never really about the spoken language.
However before Garrern could say anything the ship shook – the tremors of atmospheric entry were all too familiar to everyone aboard. The shock troopers jumped up, readying for deployment while Arianna, Maegr and Ansgar approached Garrern.

“Ninety minutes” – he rasped – “You know the drill. Kill everything that moves.”
Jedi role has been filled. Starting in a couple hours. With all the positions filled admiasions are closed unless provided with an exceptional character.
A'ight, I'll be working on a starting post in a couple hours too so we'll be able to get this sithy train a-rollin'.
Yup, we're down to the last spot. So if more than one person applies it'll be down to the quality of the cs as to who gets in~ I'm gonna set the start time completely arbitrarily at 24 hours from now, since the core role has been filled~

Tick-tock, tick-tock~
Alright, it's still open so send me your cs :)
What's with the capitals?...

P.S. welcome, btw.
A'ight we have a person applying for a jedi char. That leaves just two spots open.
Name: Garrern Rayce
Race: Human
Age: 26
Appearance:

Garrern is of above average height and build, indicative of someone who dedicated most of his life to physical combat. Armor clad and always masked, courtesy of Darth Rathos having sliced off his jaw, Garrern is an imposing presence on the battlefield. Although he only ever fights with a single saber he carries several additional ones under his robe.

Personality: Calm and stoic, Garrern is the most level headed of the group. Possessing of an analytical mind he bears great academical interest in all aspects and teachings of the force, regardless of alignment or the risks that might bring. His loyalty to his friends is a silent one, but make no mistake, all who endanger them shall meet their end on his blade. Sooner or later, yet inevitably so.

Powers: Garrern is a grandmaster of saber combat, surpassing Darth Rathos himself by the age of fifteen. His heavy armor and deceptively slow movements belie lightning quick counters and finesse that ended the lives of many a foe. If you can't engage him from a distance your only option is to run, for only death awaits those that come close.
- Transcendent Telekinesis: Learning from the teachings of Jedi Master Yoda, Garrern has learned how to transcend the size and mass of objects, rather than overcoming them through force as a Sith would. This allows him to perform seemingly impossible feats of power, e.g. stopping an x-wing mid flight or lifting a crumbled building out of his way. However since his control over Force is incredibly low, any competent force user would be able to resist it, making this ability sub-optimal for direct combat.
- Force Blast: As a means of compensating for his weak control, Garrern developed an ability to create a directed explosion through Force. Unlike a Force Push, the Force Blast is an indiscriminate shock-wave that mows down everything in its path, incapable of distinguishing targets. The power however, is unparalleled. On one occasion Garrern was able to topple an AT-AT walker with a single blast.

Garrern is extraordinarily inept at the fine control of the force, incapable of things such as mind control or force lightning, but his brute power is unmatched. In combat his style is to go through the front - crushing, blasting or throwing his opposition away, while his far nimbler allies take care of routing the enemy into his blade and completing strategic objectives. The very definition of a front-line tank.

Bio: Abducted at the age of seven, Garrern keeps his past to himself. Whenever Ari or Sond would ask him about it, he'd always respond that he simply does not remember what his life before the Sith was. Throughout the years he came to be very protective of his friends, and did everything in his power to conceal their little "transgressions" as best he could. However it was his own curiosity that nearly became his undoing.

At the age of thirteen, the three were part of a raid on a Jedi installation, under Darth Rathos's guidance. Garrern split off from the group and found his way into the archives, where a record of Jedi's teachings were held. Though under orders to destroy all record he chose to read them first. And what a read that was! The teachings of master Yoda, as recorded by one of Luke Skywalkers disciples in particular piqued his interest. At great risk he concealed a vast number of records and continued to study them. From that day forward he'd go on researching the teachings of the Light side, and seeking ways to combine them with his own dark teachings, attempting to find true power through balance.

One day during a sparring session with his master, Garrern had the poor foresight to mention how some of the light side's teachings made for superior combat skill, as opposed to the dark side. Darth Rathos was... unamused. He struck out viciously at his disciple, searing off his jaw. It was only thanks to his own skill that Garrern avoided having his head taken off.

Twelve hours at the surgeon's table later, he learned to keep his thoughts to himself and conceal his true thoughts at all times. Forever locked behind his mask Garrern became even quieter than he'd been before, waiting patiently for the day he would return the favor.

Decades after the defeat of the Empire at the hands of Luke Skywalker and the Rebels, the Galaxy is once again thrust into turmoil.

Self-proclaimed Sith lords are appearing by the dozen, led by the mysterious Darth Imperius. They are taking over remote star systems and usurping control over the helpless populace; the New Republic is unwilling or unable to help them all.

Meanwhile Sith Lord Darth Rathos sends his three apprentices Garrern Rayce, Maegr Sond and Ariana to the republic world of Korpus V, with orders to destroy the Jedi academy based there...

The Setting

Set in the the Post-Movie Era, the story follows a group of sith, as they are struggling to find balance between the two sides of the force. Having grown up together, and having made it through the hellish Sith training side by side our heroes managed to forge an ironclad camaraderie, despite the dark side's doctrine. It is that friendship that served as a catalyst for their eventually switch. Following an incident on Korpus V the heroes found themselves no longer able to adhere to the Dark Side's teachings, yet unable to shake them completely either. Opting instead to further the light side's cause from the shadows they embark on a clandestine quest to ensure galactic peace by taking down Darth Imperius, and preventing the rebirth of the Sith Empire.

Meanwhile one after another the border worlds of the galaxy are going dark. the cause of this remains unknown as neither the Sith nor the Jedi felt anything through the force. As the New Republic struggles to maintain its control over the increasingly turbulent Galaxy, the new Jedi council finds themselves willing to accept help from our newly-reformed sith "heroes", though, as expected, trust is still many parsecs away.

Their quest will take our heroes throughout the Galaxy, facing bandits, warlords, hostile jedi and less than welcoming Sith Lords; all the while furthering the cause of the Light side through their own, very sith-like approach to interpersonal conflicts.

Application

Due to the nature of the story and origins of our characters players can't really join the "core" group. Currently one last role remains open for the core: That of a former Stormtrooper commando that has served with the trio for over a decade, earning their trust and friendship. If you apply for this position you can't have force powers (though we'll allow some force sensitivity ALA Finn from Force Awakens) but you get any toy you want in terms of equipment/weapons. Jetpacks included by default, har har.

Any other players applying will have to keep in mind that no other sith characters could be accepted since they simply wouldn't be trusted. But mercenaries, bounty hunters, smugglers etc are welcome. Though keep in mind, you might want to watch what you say to the main trio IC if you join as such. No matter how "light" they get - they're still sith, and will most likely respond to impropriety with swift dismemberment.

If you want to join as a Jedi - you'll be able to do so after a couple turns in game, after we make contact with the Jedi council. All details are up to you, joining point for a jedi character will be getting assigned by the council to "supervise" our group. Plenty of humor to be had from having a straight laced jedi in a group of sith, if you have the skill to do it, haha.

We're looking to have 4-5 players in total, 6 if pushed a little. Good sense of humor and ability to not go anal over details of the SW universe are a personal requirement haha!

If you want to apply submit the CS to me through PM first. Here's a basic outline:

Age:

Bio: (Just the main points we'd need to know. the rest is best revealed through gameplay.)
Personality: (again, just the quick vague outline. Your writing will do the rest.)
