Phillus Circus-Big Top

“Oh geez, here I was being a selfish little pig, not realizing you’re nervous too! Well… Don’t worry about it, Aria! I have your back! My eyes are trained on the smallest lick of fire! You don’t have to panic about missing the cue while I’m here!”

Aria blinked at Lute’s sudden exclamation, lips quirking as he whipped around to stare at the stage eagerly- or was it intently? She shook her head, reaching out to give his hair a ruffle before going back to staring at the stage, feeling much less nervous. She didn’t need to worry; Lute was here, and so was the rest of the Pride.

The show grew more and more intense, and soon the two were so absorbed in the acts that they were on their feet cheering with everyone else.

"You think you've seen something? You ain't seen nothin' yet! We can only have more in store! Hey, hey - who here is a returning guest?"

Woah, it looked like quite a large portion of the audience had been here before. It wasn’t quite a surprise after seeing the, however. She could understand why people would be willing to come back time after time to enjoy these seemingly death defying acts.

"But now - now we have something even newer in store! The debut of our two new members, and our special stars for the night!"
She paused. New members? Wait, didn’t that mean-
"Well, we heard your pleas, and are coming right back at ya with exactly what you wanted! You want 'hot,' you got it!"
Ooooh fidgestickling buttersticks.
"You want 'burning,' you got it! You want 'on fire,' you got it!"
She shot a glance over at Lute, their eyes meeting as they shared a nod. Crispin soon strode onstage, and started to speak. It was surprisingly smart of him to warn the audience- looks like Lute wouldn’t have to work as hard after all.

“Get ready to move-“ She hissed out just as his fists burst into flames, the tent soon following after. “You’d think they’d at least fireproof the tent when adding a fire act,” they were on their feet now, trying to help guide people to the exits. She glanced back to the ring where Crispin was being cornered by the other performers, frowning and trying to see a route to the stage.

“I’m going to see if I can go help the poor chef out. You stay here alright?”

She didn’t stay to hear whether Lulu would protests or not, leaping over vacated sections to make sure the guy would be alright.
I'mma put up a post in a few mins yay
Finally caught up and will be making a post soon. Poor poor Lesles :')

"Breeze? Why if it isn't our favorite merchant!"

Breeze returned the greeting with just as much fervor, waving her arms enthusiastically. "Nice to see you again, Doc! Been a while hasn't it?" She hadn't had much reason to come here lately and the last time she had come to deliver supplies the doctor was in, so she had been meaning to make a visit anyways. Before she needed to correct his assumption in that something had happened to Est (and luckily nothing had or the perpetrator would be the one making a visit here) he spotted the humans and glasses-boy's limp

"We can fix that up in a jiffy! We've got new nano tech that works like a charm! In fact, we need to have it tested."

"We'll be counting on you, then." She turned back to the humans, snickering at their rather dubious faces. "There's no need to seem so worried! He can be a little much, but I have complete trust in his inventions. They work three-fifths of the time! And even if they fail it's not like you'll lose your leg. Probably." She smiled on, not noticing the increased discomfort her words had brought.

She gave a small meep of surprise when the top shelf was sent toppling, sending jars of various colored liquids to the ground. She tried to stop the human from trying to clean up, but before she could he had tripped and fallen into the puddle. A surge of worry overtook her- Who knew what the bottles contained? There shouldn't be anything too bad, but even so...

"Luckily, all you spilled was some temporary color transmutations. They should wear off at around the second sun rise."

A collective sigh of relief echoed across the room, save for the wailing of the poor human who's beautiful pink hair that had been dyed to a rather cool shade of black.

"It's- it looks quite awesome, does it not?" She patted the human on the arm. "I could always give you a cap to cover it up with, if you'd like."

Luckily the doctor had returned with some nurses to clean up the mess, along with the adorable cleaning robot. He had brought the device along as well, and Breeze smiled back to the humans. "There'll be no worry for the cost of treatment. Can't have you all running out of stars before buying anything from me, can we? The Doc owes me too many favors to charge, isn't that right?" She chuckled as the doctor sagged slightly before picking himself back up, readjusting his glasses. "Favorite merchant or not, you really know how to rob a guy of his money. But since I get to test out my nanobots, I won't complain. Now if you'll sit down here-," he beckoned to a stool nearby. "we'll get started so you guys can get going. It'll only take a minute... I think."

Aria had ended up sitting in the middle few rows, a similar distance from the stage at Xan but nearly halfway across the top from her. Everybody had ended up scattered around the top but perhaps it was better this way- it means that they would be able to cover any area of the circus if anything happened. Lulu had ended plopped down besides her, giving her the chance to explain what Crispin had said was going to happen later in the show.

"- and that he was going to set fire to the tent during his act, giving a chance for other performers to bust out of here."

Lute had muted those around them, giving them the chance to speak while the acts were going on. It was unlikely that any others could hear them over the loud circus music playing, and somehow Aria had managed to relay most of the information while only being distracted by the acts now and then. She recognized some of the performers from running into them earlier- literally in the human cannonball's case.

She nearly missed glimpsing Xan's departure from the tent in a hurry, and while she wasn't quite sure why the illusionist knew that she could trust her friend was doing something very important. Xan had always been better at coming with ideas than she was.

Her attention shifted briefly back to stage only for her to do a double take. Was that guy juggling animals? And oh Gods was that an elephant? The man must've been at least on par with Moira's strength- she absentmindedly rubbed the developing bump on her head with a wince- if not more.

What she was most nervous right now was when exactly Crispin's act was. He hadn't been the most specific, and Aria much disliked the idea of having to be on edge waiting for something to happen.

"I don't suppose they have a flyer with the acts in order," she mumbled to Lute with a sigh. As wonderful as the show was, it was also making her very nervous. Right now the scary lady from before was standing on the platform, but there was no sign of the next act. Would it be the fire-breather's? Or was his at the very end? She wrung her scarf, attempting to not seem too nervous in case people noticed but stared intently at the ring's entrance that the performers entered in and ready to leap into action at a moment's notice.
