School of Magic: Illusion - this magic deals with manipulating one's mind and senses into believing things that are not real. Suggesting thoughts or actions and manipulating perceptions.
Augmentor:
He hangs this on a cord around his neck.
Skills: Touch: Manipulating the nerves into feeling something physical. He can manipulate the receiver into feeling anything he himself can clearly imagine. Most commonly this is of the wind/hands/fabric. Creating the feeling of pain is a more sinister aspect of this skill. He can create sharp shooting pain- much like the feeling of your arm falling asleep and intense migraines. These take much more concentration and the fall back is that it is hard for him to do anything else while focusing on the receiver.
Glamor: Creating an illusion of sight. Creating objects that the receiver is capable of experiencing as if real. Often he creates mist, fog or darkness. He can also change the receiver's eyes into thinking nothing is there even when there is. Creating living organisms such as insects or small animals. It depletes a major resource of mana to create the image of people or large animals.
Suggestion: Much like hypnosis the caster is able to make powerful suggestions to the receiver into acting out what has been asked of them. These can be fought off if the receiver has strong moral obligations that they would be going against. Most often Luciel uses this skill to manipulate people into doing something that already tempts them- such as going for something they would normally be too scared to do. This skill is good for raising moral and giving people an inner strength. Likewise he is capable of using people’s mental weakness and anxieties against them. People who suffer mental disorders are exceptionally receptive to this kind of magic.
Complete Fantasy: This is the combination of all the senses into creating a scape that the receiver creates with his own mind. Either one of fear or of pleasure. Only the caster and receiver see this illusion which can consume them both if not done properly. This type of illusion is similar to a dream and can do permanent damage to one's mind. It's not often that the caster becomes trapped in the receiver's fantasy but it is a real and dangerous possibility. Often if Luciel performs this it is because he is looking for information that the receiver would not willingly give or in dire situations to break their mind. This takes up less mana than would be expected but in exchange is a dangerous spell for the caster to perform. Especially since his physical body is at the mercy of those around him.
| PERSONALITY: |
Luciel is most often perceived as shy and quiet and is often described as cute and sweet. Those who know him know he has a dark sense of humour. Often it catches people off guard. He can come off as somewhat callous and uncaring- but he will often go out of his way to help those he cares about. He likes to fly under the radar and will often use Suggestion on passersby or people he would rather avoid. Since he has always found it easy to get what he wants (even by just having a cute mannerism), he has a spoiled attitude when he doesn’t.
Luciel licked his lips as he watched a vender delicately twist the thin wafer like bread into a cone. He already had a bit of a stash going, no doubt preparing for the high noon rush. The dark haired man decided he wanted one and patted his pockets for a few coins. He found some lint instead. He vaguely remembered his bag sitting on the floor at his residence. He gazed at the vendor for a few more minutes before striding up.
“Hello kiddo, what can I get you?” “I’d like that.” He stated, making eye contact with the man. He stood a good five inches above him but nevertheless felt smaller when he met Luciel's almond eyes. A strange sensation wove its way through the vender and he glanced at the cone and then at the small boy. “Well... that’ll be a couple of copper,” the vender hesitated, it felt wrong to say that to the boy.
“You don’t mind if I pay you back tomorrow... right?” Luciel gave a charming, child-like smile and the man found himself holding the cone out. “Yeah... that would be fine.” He didn’t really know why he decided to trust that the boy would be back.
“Thanks” Luciel took it with another smile and turned away to continue his journey through the streets. Minds were easy to trick. He bit into the crispy vanilla wafer and wondered- as he did often- if he should feel guilty. He had been told that he should. Why did it matter though if Luciel paid the man back the next day? He decided it didn’t and put the whole encounter to the back of his mind.
It really didn’t matter.
