Seems amusing... :D

Sorry Cryptic, that I couldn't be of assistance if that is what you needed. I just got back from work and uni.

No worries, it was a character submission. I simply decided after writing it that it might not be suitable for this particular RP, and that I didn't really have time to be joining a roleplay anyways. I could still post it for curiosity's sake if you want.
Never mind.
Well, never mind... xD

Nah, the GM and the players have just abandoned it. No IC posts, no GM feedback.

I think that this is in large part associated with a lack of responses. Many players are simply awaiting a reply before posting.

The only thing that is held to chance (and at worst case scenario a 3 out of 4) is how your civilization reacts when first encountering another galactic civilization. Everything else is up to you.The determinant is up there. The mechanic is random.org

I'm sorry, but I'm having a really hard time here as well, albeit for other reasons.
Applying the cultural and psychological standards of humans uniformly on all forms of alien life seems completely unrealistic.
Simply taking for example the Srephariin, Noir'an and Lunarians, some species have limited, if not non-existent, concepts of destructive conflict.
One suggestion I would make would be to add psychological and cultural modifiers to the game.
For example, Lunarians would be far less likely to have violent first contact than the Athanatos. It is simply logical.

While the risk might always still be present, I find it simply unrealistic to give every single species the exact same.

Shouldn't we be the ones to RP what happens within our first contact and see if it results in hostilities or not?

Thanks!
Btw, I'm still waiting for a response in PM before I post.

I think it's a bit unfair for you to be critiquing his posts when you're not even technically involved in the RP.I could understand his post just fine.

I'm sorry, but he does raise a very fair point, and your defence was a bit Ad Hominem.
I hate to say it, but the grammar isn't exactly good in that post.
Which isn't to say that it was incomprehensible or unimaginative. It just could use a bit of work from a literary standpoint.

The way I see it, better to give constructive criticism and point it out than just ignore it. I was neither meant offensively nor as an insult.
Just a tip to improve writing.
