Dear Miss Olivia,
I am writing to offer you the position of full-time shop tender in the Little Shop of Curiosities. I was very impressed with your application and delighted by your impressive display of knowledge and skill during the ‘interview’ process.
Your job description is as follows:
You will be expected to:
• Tend to customers in the shop with warmth and acceptance.
• Sell artefacts, weapons and other goods with confidence.
• Mix and brew potions, salves and balms according to commission.
• Tend to, plant and harvest ingredients from the shop’s gardens.
• Display understanding and knowledge about your speciality subjects and refer to the other employees where you feel that your knowledge is lacking.
• Provide customers with advice on all purchases as necessary; advise about upkeep and care of weapons; possible side effects of consumable goods; notes on the use of spells and runes; and the availability of certain items throughout the year.
• Keep the shop floor tidy and free from spillages or mess.
• Care for other employees, even when they are notoriously difficult and stubborn wyverns.
Your working hours are 9am – 5pm with an hour for lunch at a time that suits you and two 20 minute breaks, one before and one after your lunch break. Staff are also welcomed to remain for one hour after the shop closes to debrief and clean up where necessary. You will be paid accordingly.
Training will take place during your working hours.
Your pay will be 2 silver pieces per hour; national working wage.
Delighted once again to be accepting you as part of our working team,
Kindest regards,
Kale
