Bio

I'm mostly an OC RP-er. I have a bunch of OCs that are pre-established but am always open to creating new characters within new stories. I prefer PMs for 1x1 RPs just because they are easier to keep on top of in my opinion.

I enjoy coming up with plots and I do like gritty stuff, I am also a huuge fan of fantasy, so if plots are left to me, that is generally the direction that they will go in!

I can RP one-liners or casually; 2-3 paragraphs is my limit for speedy replying because i’ve got a busy job and can’t sustain massive posts every time DX but I will do my best to match what you give me :) I'm wary of RPing smut, but I don’t mind a bit of romance and smush. I tend to say kiss touch and play, anything more fades to black :D

I can't say how quick I can be to reply, I work uncertain hours - apologies in advance!

You can take over any of the guards - they’re pretty NPC anyway :) also the dude tapping his whip on the carriage was doing so to send a message to more guards protecting the cargo inside of it so feel free to add more to the mayhem :)
Cameron stepped into the hallway, his eyes busy taking in the sights of the academy's grand walls and halls and his jaw a little slack from the sheer size and beauty of the building. He looked up to the walls and ceilings and hitched his quiver of arrows back onto his shoulders, making them rattle against Fothaes' slender body.

Beside him, Zala grumbled and hobbled along, trying her best to keep up on her stout legs. Her back was aching from the long journey and the blister forming on the heel of her right foot from the new shoes she had bought was threatening to burst if she didn't sit down soon. She longed for her comfortable slippers or a pair of well-worn tennis shoes, but the Lady of the house had insisted that she had new shoes and a new dress for her trip. No doubt that what she had really wanted was her son to be seen in presentable company. Zala had hitched up her skirts to walk up and into the foyer of the building and she tutted loudly as she glanced up at her gormless companion, "You keep looking up like that and you'll trip over someone," she warned him, "you're not the only one here."

Cameron blinked out of his observations and looked down at Zala, before around and finding himself too close to a group of students and teachers. He shook his head and muttered a soft apology before stepping back to look at the group. Small. He had been expecting more, but he supposed it wasn't every day that someone found a telepathic magical item in the forest... nor under their bed in Zala's case.

@shamrocknroll@RoccanIronclad
@KatherinWinter Hey I hope you start feeling better soon. Don't feel intimidated, you're great as Roxy and you're the rock keeping this RP together! I can dial it down if you want me to, if I'm honest, I'm trying harder than I normally would to impress you all and make you want to keep me in the RP! This is my first RP that has lasted this long and that has had a running thread so.. I don't want this to die.

Get well soon, hope you feel back to your normal strength again soon!

Skandar Keynes

Name: Cameron Waterfield

Species: Human

Height: 6’0”

Weight: 165lbs

Gender: Male

Sexuality: Straight

Body Type: Skinny

Eye Color: Dark brown

Hair Color: Very Dark brown

Skin Color: Pale white

Relationship Status: Single

Personality: Determined and hard working, Cameron is a very focused person and when he sets his mind to something, he’ll damn well try hard to get there whether it takes a day or a year. He’s quietly confident – behind the loner persona, he’s not shy. He’s more inquisitive and confident, he just doesn’t show it on the surface too well. Cameron is also very calm. It is very hard to ruffle his feathers and he keeps his nerve exceptionally well under pressure. However, he can be selfish – he’s not a very trusting person, he keeps a lot to himself and doesn’t like sharing. He can also be incredibly fickle. He can have a habit of going his own way rather than sticking to the plan; he’s been on his own this long why should he start trusting others now?

Fighting Style: Calm and collected. Cameron will work out a strategy before striking and he will seek out higher ground, not only for the sake of his weapon but also for the surveillance opportunities it can give to him. He can strike with a calculated attack, rather than charging around blind

Hobbies: Reading, cartography, archery, hiking

Habits: correcting people, if he thinks they are wrong, he’ll correct them immediately.
Being his own team
Rolling and unrolling his sleeves

Likes: quiet, maps, dark forests, mountains

Dislikes: loud places, alcohol, close combat

Fears: mildly claustrophobic, it’s more discomfort than an actual fear. Mildly scared of snakes; though he plays it off as hatred for them.

Bio: The Waterfield family made a big name for themselves in the property market as a property refurbishment form attached to an estate agents chain. Of 3 siblings, Cameron is the youngest and by their standards the black sheep and rebel of the family. He never got on with his two older siblings as they were more alike than he ever was. He spent his childhood racing through the woods whilst they were busy being taught the family business at home. Annabelle and Jason are willing heirs to the family business - Jason being the oldest, is already a partner at the firm and works closely with their father. Annabelle is the middle child and she moved overseas to stay in the business to build a partnership with overseas businesses. Cameron is the youngest and has no idea what he wants to make of his life but knows that he wants nothing to do with them, instead being interested in maps and history. He’s the rebel of the family in that sense. Zala takes a liking to him for it as he’s the least spoilt and takes the least for granted with her, though he can still be a brat.

He found the bow one day on one of his misadventures in a forest. He came across it in a ransacked tomb - the bow being the only thing of value left behind. He was going to leave it behind too when it called out to him. Being a fellow archer, she felt a connection and wanted her freedom after her previous owner died fighting in a battle against magic hundreds of years ago.

When Cameron found her, she continued to mourn for her previous owner. She cared for him because he cared for her and part of her resents Cameron for not being Ethelrae. She was crafted into his bow and spend her life with him fighting side by side until she was buried with him. This was so long ago that the modern world perturbes her and she is resentful of the new-founded things in this new land

Description of Weapon:

Weapon Name: Fothaes

Weapon Type: Shortbow

Weapon Personality: Mildly possessive, yet distant. She offers insight into fights, schemes and directions with self-confidence and authority. She is not talkative and isn’t personal with Cameron - it’s almost a strict business relationship. She had a more personal relationship with her previous owner and it is mourning for them that has made her so distant and almost resentful towards Cameron.

Weapon abilities:
Blaze: the arrow shot from the bow will erupt into flames upon contact with a surface
Strike: the bow will release a lightning strike rather than an arrow
Hawkeye: the bow will allow the user to see up to 50m further than their eyes will allow and provide a more accurate target to aim for

Relationship with owner: as above, Fothaes is distant from Cameron and their relationship is formal and business-like. She is resentful that she has him now rather than her previous owner.

Faceclaim:
Kathy Bates

Name: Zala Underbridge

Species: Gnome

Height: 3’2”

Weight: 20kg

Gender: Female

Sexuality: Straight

Body Type: Pudgy and broad

Eye Color: Dark brown

Hair Color: salt and pepper blonde.

Skin Color: Ruddy and tanned in places that see the sun regularly

Relationship Status: Single, though some would say unhappily married to her weapon (see below)

Personality: Zala is a cranky and easily irritated gnome that gets by with sending everyone a grimace and a huff. She is obedient and fiercely protective, particularly of the Waterfields but she will mumble and grumble as she does so. She is motherly and very hard working, and she loves a good gossip. She can also hold a grudge and can be quite conniving when she is riled.

Fighting Style: Rough and ready, Zala will swing for the weak spots and ask questions later. She can be a loose cannon in that she doesn’t think about her actions before she takes them.

Hobbies: Complaining, watching fish in the garden pond

Habits: interrupting others, picking her nose, sneering at things she dislikes

Likes: Bossing Izzy around
Neat and tidy rooms
Fish pie

Dislikes: Kameron’s older brother
Being interrupted
Babies crying

Fears: Spiders and woodlice

Bio: The Underbridges first began working for the Waterfield family in the 17th century and since then they have been born into service and died under the same family name for centuries now. Zala was born into service and as soon as she was old enough she started working alongside her mother for the Waterfields. She enjoyed working with her mother and learnt a lot from her, especially when she learnt about magic. The stories were passed down through the Underbridge generations, alongside a box containing a mysterious object that nobody had seen, but all believed had magical powers that would one day reveal themselves. On her deathbed too early, Zala’s mother presented her with the box to carry on and give to her own children in the future. That night, Zala’s mother passed and she became the sole gnome working in the Waterfield household. She grew closer to Kameron, the youngest of the three children in the household, as he was different to the other two - he made her laugh because he was defiant and so calm about it. He wasn’t cocky like his older siblings. It was during the celebration of the new year - the year of the sheep that the box opened and Zala was... disappointed to find that it was an old rusty iron. She almost threw it back under her bed when she felt the chill of the presence within it. It introduced itself as Isiah and she could sense the magic it held. She scrubbed it and made it shine as much as she could, then tied it to her belt. It has kept her company ever since.

Description of Weapon:

Weapon Name: Isiah, nicknamed ‘Izzy’

Weapon Type: Iron

Weapon Personality: Isiah is old at heart and a complacent weapon, happy to take orders. However, like Zala, he is prone to complaining and disagreeing, though in the end he’ll follow Zala’s commands and thoughts.

Weapon abilities:
Extend: the iron’s wire can extend at will to however long the user needs it to be.
Heat/flare: the flat iron itself becomes red hot and acts as a heated plate to attack with
Steam: the iron will shoot out hot steam.
Generally, Isiah is used almost like a kusarigama, with his long wires being used to entangle the enemies, or used to flail the iron head to hit and damage enemies.

Relationship with owner: Kameron often jokes that Zala and Isiah are like soulmates, saying that they bicker like man and wife but pull through in the end. A lifetime of serving others meant that Zala was finally given something that she could have some control over when she was given Isiah. He is complacent and allows her to tell him what to do, though he will complain and let her know about every discomfort he feels. They have a close bond and work very well together; they just bicker and argue all day long about anything that they can. In this way they are similar to one and other.

Hope this is okay! I’m sorry that Cameron’s bio isn’t a bit short and not very well written, I just wanted to get something posted! I hope that I haven’t made you wait for too long and thank you for being so patient with me!
Hey! Just thought I’d post to let you know i’m still very interested and almost have a complete cs - I really appreciate you waiting for me I know how annoying it is to be waiting for people to join!
If it helps I have a name and a face claim!
Name is Kai Waterfield and face claim is Skandar Keynes :)
Ratte slunk through the shadows on her toes like a slender black cat, keeping her eyes and ears peeled for any signs that someone or something was following her. She stopped beside an empty exhibit and briefly looked down at the plaque. The royal jewels. The child in her smirked, before she quickly assessed the situation around her. This was the place that the jewels would be displayed, or at least it looked that way. She looked at the cage around the platform they would be sat on and chewed her lip. The bars were thick iron and when she pushed her arm through them, even her slender elbows got caught in them. She stole a quick look around her to check that the coast was clear, before finding the lock on the cage and examining it. It was open for now, ready for the jewels to be rushed inside. She thought quickly and glanced around once more as she did.

She was never one to rob something without knowing what she was getting herself into. She was in charge of theft here, so Roxy had said, and she wanted to have the upper hand. She had broken into countless places nights before she planned to take anything just to scout out the area and know what she would need to get in and out unnoticed when she did the deed. She sighed and looked back at the lock. Too easy, she thought, a little too smugly perhaps. The lock itself was a heavy padlock. The contraption was thick and made of iron - no doubt designed to be difficult to unpick or cut.

She glanced around before dipping a hand into her bag and pulling out a similar lock. One she had the key for. She bounced it in her hand, this way no matter what happens.. I can still come back for my share later...

Caught by surprise, the guard on the right flank fell with Isago's dagger buried deeply into his neck. His horse shrieked and reared up, flailing her legs in front of her and toppled over onto her rider with the force of Isago's leap.

With the seconds it took for Isago to take out his reinforcement, the first guard, lieutenant in his team here, snapped out of his angry haze. He had been riled by the man in white's quips about size and rank, and this had only frustrated him more. Training had taught him to ignore the foul talk that over-confident foes spewed, but this one in particular had just the right amount of confidence in his voice that it had dug under his skin. He had been seconds away from charging when the 'elderly' man had begun his attack. The shrill whinny of the riderless horse had panicked his own and it stomped, backing up against the lieutenant's will. He growled and brought his sword up just in time to parry Isago's attack against his neck and he swiftly kicked the man in the chest.

Kai's guard let out a startled cry when the boy attacked and he fumbled in a mess of reigns and armour for his sword. He quickly brought it up to defend himself and attempted to strike the boy down. Their swords collided and he found himself being pushed away from his horse and away from the carriage itself. He saw his horse bolt away from the clashing of swords, but saw his chance as Kai looked briefly distracted by his thoughts or something that the guard wasn't aware of. He took the opportunity and swung his sword up at the young boy, growling as he did so.

Meanwhile, the guard left of the caravan tutted and shifted slightly out of formation. He had been ashamed to find that a child had found his way into the chaos and was attacking too, though he left him to it and instead chose to focus on the newcomer - the man in white. One final time, he clipped his whip against the carriage before stepping out and watching the man in white prepare himself for a fight. For now his gaze was fixed on the lieutenant and he had an advantage. He lowered his sword and himself in the saddle, kicked and charged at the man, sword pointing directly at his shoulder.

I'm working on a character at the minute, I'm going to try and get at least one of them up tonight.
Hey, would it be possible to submit two characters that are significant to one and other? Eg: a gnome and one of it's bonded family members?
I'd love to play a gnome, but not just a gnome is all :P
Very interested :)
Interested in fantasy rping too, shoot me a pm?
