"Strange," Caroline commented while they all sat around the fire. She could have sworn she had heard that buzzing noise as her and Ben left the wooded area. So what was it. "Probably just a bug," she shrugged.
"Agreed," Bobby replied as they followed the rope up to the staff room. "We're definitely going to need that." While there was most definitely food on the island - there was a forested area inland, which meant there would most likely be small creatures to hunt. As for a fresh spring, Bobby doubted it. They couldn't simply rely on the resources of the island. They had the hierarchy of needs that they had to follow. First, stabilize the injured. Then get necessary resources - food and water- to the rest of them. Then find a way back home.
"I see it!" Bobby proclaimed as the entrance to the staff room came into view. However, the line of rope ended a few feet away from the entrance. Surprising herself with her wealth of ideas today, Bobby pulled a loose cable from the ship and made sure it would be able to tie an knot. She then turned to Angel. "One of us needs to stay here. In order to get into the room, on of us is going to have to tie this cable around them and go in, while the other holds the end of the cable so the one going to the room doesn't fall off the ship."
"You seem to know alot about this kind of stuff," Caroline acknowledged Gretchen's comment. She had noted that, despite the little time had passed, Gretchen had a wealth of knowledge about the outdoors and camping. She perfectly set up the tent with little assistance from Caroline and she knew about how to effectively start a fire. It was good to have her along, as Caroline knew nothing of the sort.
Ren stood silently behind Zmerr watching the scene she was unsure if she should say anything or just remain unseen behind the doorway. After all, she had no authority in the situation. She just hoped the new comers were kind and not hostile.
"A dead guy?" Bobby asked from the ground. The thought had totally escaped her mind that there wood be deseaced bodies all over the ship. After all, she wasn't even sure how many people had survived.
She jumped up and grasped the rough material of the rope, stressing her upper body muscles to climb up the rope and stand on the odd metal protrusion near the top. From there she jumped onto the deck neck to Angel - and next to the dead teenager. Being slightly interested and being one not to get squeamish, Bobby lightly rolled the guy over to reveal his face - which was barely recognizable as human. "Jesus," she cursed under her breath. She decided to roll him back to the position he was out of respect.
Before setting in motion for the route to the staff room,Bobby grabbed the rope from the side of the boat and tied a large piece of metal debris to one end, and kept it tied to the pole on the other end. She then tossed it up towards the direction of the staff room. "In case you lose your balance, grab the rope," she told Angel.
"Right, we should be getting back," She agreed as she followed Ben back to the campsite. It was then when she heard it: an odd buzzing sound. Not so much a mechanical sound, but more like a bug or an nature induced sound. As they made their way back to the campsite, Caroline addressed it. "Hey do you hear that bu-," the stopped in mid-sentence as the mysterious sound had suddenly stopped. "Nevermind," she finished, dismissively waving her hand.
"Ah, tough guy here," she chuckled as she continued to gather more firewood. "You're not scared at all? So you'll protect a lady if a ghoul or a monster attacks us?" she batted her eyes at him. Her flirtatious ways were evidently coming into play.
I don't mean to offend, I mean it is your idea afterall, I'm just not a big fan of sci fi or alien invasion stuff. Whoever does the week for war can create it however they like, I'm just voicing my opinion lol.
