Name: Basil Reginald Lake Greene; Introduces himself as Blake.
Age: 18
Gender: Male
Appearance:
Personality:
Blake is a sweet and innocent young man. He is what most would consider 'pure,' having a pretty safe and golden path laid out for him throughout his life. He doesn't bend the rules and has never crossed the line into trouble ever. Most of the people he meets still consider him a child, considering he doesn't often associate with people around his own age, having no real world experience like they did when they were his age. Because of that and many doubts in his abilities of self-reliance and independence, Blake has very little self-worth. He is always willing to put others and their needs before him, genuinely caring for their feelings over his own.
The young man has a very good grasp of faking a smile and acting like everything is okay, using his perfected usage of visages to ensure that he always seems cheerful and happy. He sees life very naively and positive, being a huge optimistic, but is trying his hardest to become more of a realist in a sense, finding out that not everything is fairy tales and rainbows. He has a drive to succeed and a will to change, hoping to become malleable enough flip his personality around and to become more confident in himself and stand on his own. It is also a good thing that he has a very absorbent brain, being very intelligent and quick-learning. Blake can also be very oblivious to the obvious and tends to be slow on jokes, but he is a genuine soul who just wants to prove to everyone and himself that he can do things that come with bumps in the roads.
Biography:
His parents were hippies, which is why he was named Basil (after the herb of the same name). Once he was born his parents began an organic food store which became a hit and very successful. In an instant they were transformed from rags to riches, with his parents becoming the total opposites of what they used to be. They traded in their tie dye shirts and concerts for suits, ties, and diamonds. Blake was given the high life, country clubs, butlers, maids, sports cars, yearly vacations out of the country, and everything else you could name. The only thing he felt he didn't have was real freedom and choice of his own, everything was always for show.
Blake was introduced to various instruments early on in his life, having attended concerts since he could remember. He has a knack for the guitar and percussion, but found true love with the piano. Once his family's bank accounts began filling and growing, Blake was given a grand piano as a gift growing up, becoming even more in love. He named the grand piano Winnie and practiced every day, composing his own little tunes and playing whatever else he could get his hands on. Blake soon found that he wanted more than just to play music for his family, he wanted to show the world his music in more ways than one. Finding a dream of being more than just his parent's child, he wanted to make a name for himself. He wanted to do it in a way that allowed him to break away from his parents and their name.
His parents were once caring and loving because that's just how they were, now they were caring and loving because it built up their reputation and helped them keep their face. Wanting to break off from what his parents were and how they acted Blake, after graduating from his private high school with high honors, moved to a small town unknown to his parents or to him. Leaving his parents was hard, as he loved them even though he knew how they acted because no matter what they were his family, but Blake knew that he needed to leave.
He lived in town for a few months, finding a few part-time jobs here and there until he was settled in. Once that was done the next task was to have a life. But he also wanted to do what he loved, music. He attended many small cafes and venues, checking out their music scene, finally building up the courage and confidence to perform at one of the venues on a weekend.
Style: He plays more Classical, Contemporary, and Rock. He has a guilty pleasure of listening and covering mainstream Pop and Rap/Hip-Hop.
Instrument(s): Blake uses
Trisha, and keeps
Sybil hidden away.
