Also started replaying Dishonored for the first time since 2012-3. Still love the world and atheistic. Stealth route is not as satisfying but more fulfilling.

I started playing through XCOM 2 for the first time since Feb. There's a lot of BS still going on, but it's addictive as ever.

"For all it seems under control", Synn answered.
As Balsis was trying to decypher Synn's statement, Spatium teleported on top of the tower.
"I don't know what you mean, Synn, but I don't like the sound of that. Would you like it to be Chaos? Do you not agree with The Cause? Choose your words wisely, child, you have a witness." Balsis said, pointing at Spatium.
The ethereal form of Balsis crossed his hands, anxiously waiting for an answer. In the meantime, looking behind him at his children's creations, he sees that the Earth started rotating around itself. He didn't seem to notice the creation of time. "The... Spinning... Of our planet... Is it of your doing?"
Also, here's a quick "creation rundown" as of now, in the order they were submitted:
- Earth's Rock Core
- Bodies of water (Duthguy thought the Earth Balsis created had water, although I planned water would be created later, but since there's no 'Water God' I let it slide)
- Mutated Microorganisms
- Synn's Pit of Pandemonium
- Sand (and beaches as a result of which)
- The Moon
- The Sun and light in general
- Flying creatures known as "Birds", currently unintelligent
- Time

I am so overwhelmed by the pace of the RP so far. I just got off of work a bit ago. I'll...read up and make a post ASAP. My bad!

Heh, me too. It mainly came from a sense of "I can manage all of these people", which I do, but it's hard.
And Balsis watched his Children create life and light and the moon and sand and water and all that is helping Balsis - and his children's - purpose. Balsis materialized on a beach, somewhere on the center of the Earth, maybe a bit south of it - taking the form of an old man, about 1.8m, with a curved back, a walking stick, a long beard and disappearing white hair. Balsis crouched towards the sand, feeling its texture in his hand. "Magical.", he thought, as he dropped the warm sand back onto the Earth. "And I shall call this beach 'Fruit', for here I first felt the fruits of my children's creations."

Slowly, the old, human man disappeared, and Balsis returned to its invisible, flying form. As he went to greet his children for their hard work, he felt a weird disturbance in the unlit void. Could he be imagining? A tower, seemingly created from the darkness of the universe? As Balsis came closer and closer, he could see a figure with wings. He hardly remembers such abnormal figure. He continued towards it, and there it was clear - Synn, God Of Control - one of his children, barricaded itself in a tower of darkness.

Moving right in front of him, Balsis asked Synn in rage: "What is the meaning of this?! Why aren't you helping your brothers and sisters with The Creation?"

First their was only Balsis, but he wanted more. So unto existence he bore the first son, Nihil. From Nihil their was an other, a nothing, a space for Balsis to create. And yet that wasn't enough, something had to be their. So Once again he bore a Son into existence, this time Arits the chaos. From the chaos everything is born, and into it everything shall be retaken. Next came the first daughter, Spatium, from her came the stars and the celestial bodies and quickly her brother Empyron was born. After that came Velrus of time, and Amos of the sands. Velrus gave existance time, another dimention so that things wouldn't be quite as confuseing. and From Amos came the earth, his sands compacting with the help of Balsis himself to create the rock on which we stand. That was the first generation of the gods, the predators of the universe.Next Balsis decided that he was bored with this existence, one were only he and his children existed, so he created Ybris to construct life and Finnos to refine it into the image of the Gods. After this was done, their was a fight among them and from this Balsis was forced to bare Saltera and Synn, twins of Corruption and Control respectively. The twins were the last of the Gods to be born, or so they say.

I never thought about a backstory, just like the Bible doesn't tell you how God came to be. Since this RP really centers around "the players build the story", if everyone agrees to this backstory, then I have no problem with accepting it.

We don't need sunlight to create life. We can create a world of all chemolithotrophic organisms.Imagine humans eating dirt for breakfast, lunch and dinner.Upon creating "humans" should the gods bestow a gift upon the first "human?" or will the gods create a variety of sentient humanoid beings to populate their world?Edit: I am in agreement with Artis. While he cannot directly create life outright, nor animals (which technically protists are.), using his powers over chaos, probabilities and disorder can create (un)natural variation among the population. With such variation it would be up to either the science of natural selection or perhaps the God of Life to determine which creatures are allowed to continue to live.

As much as I hate talking about the metagame, when the first human will be created, Balsis will probably give him a "I exist and so does my children and you shall worship us" announcement. I don't know about a blessing.

Also, this isn't a very scientifically accurate game, but creatures won't really - let's say 'procreate' - without sunlight and a proper habitat IMHO, they'll just die out. That's the basic assumption, with also coincides with common sense. Whether humans/large animals will evolve from micro to macro (Remember: Time doesn't exist as for yet) or just plopped down is up to the players.

Well, unless anyone cares for empowerment or to share their powers with Synn, he will be merely watching from his tower for now until civilization begins.

The tower's a very cool idea, and I liked it a lot, by the way.
As long as you don't use it to destroy every single child. That's not fun for anybody.

Yeah, the sun kinda needs to happen so that we can have animals to have humans to have civilization...

Hopefully Sun God will come within a reasonable timespan and create it. If not, Balsis will ask God Of Space to do it, or Balsis will create it.
Right, first IC post in up, but a bit late. Have fun!
At first, the universe was darkness and void. Time, matter and light did not exist.

And the children were wandering around the endless void aimlessly, but wherever they went, the darkness seemingly grew and grew in size.
And Balsis their father gathered them around, and Balsis saith: "Let us create a world with light and sky and sun and moon and land and seas and plants and life; for it is your universe as much as it is mine or your descendants; and it should be our objective to generate the best world possible; But remember: should I or any other child see you perform anything to hinder creation, you will be judged, and if found guilty, I will personally drag you to the underworld."

He looked at all of his children sternly. Then Balsis extended his hands as far as he could, and put them back together in a flash, creating a loud CLAP, which echoed across the void. Tens of millions of small stones spawned in seemingly random spots in the void, gravitating towards a point just to the left of Balsis. The stones molded together, creating a boulder, ever growing. Eventually, Balsis made a “fist” gesture on both his hands, and not one moment afterwards, the small stones stopped spawning.

The giant boulder began smoothing itself, turning itself from a rough shape to a spherical, rock core, and the Earth was created.
Balsis then motioned his children to start working.

Accepted. Remember there's a separate God for the sun.
