Outside Thaum

Dylan followed along as they all made their way out of Thaum, keeping silent as he tried to make sense of the evening. There was so many questions to answer, as well as a driving need to find Marcus as soon as possible. Why had they split up again? It was starting to look like something bad happened every time they split.

And then, if things weren’t bad enough, it started to rain. No - downpour. They would have been soaked to the bone if it wasn’t for some quick thinking from Estelle. “Of course,” he said, sounding more aggravated than he really felt, but it was late and they needed to find Marcus as soon as possible. “Let’s keep moving.”

They picked up the pace, kept dry by the shield, but they still had to dreg through the muddy path. Finally, just when Dylan had enough, Atlas came to a sudden stop. “Are we here?” he asked, excitement creeping into his voice.

Glancing up ahead, all excitement slipped away from him as he saw the scene in front of his eyes. “That’s...that’s not...” he stammered, struggling to find an explanation that made sense. An explanation that was rational and sensible and proved that he crazy as Atlas had sounded.

He had nothing.

Fourth Twilight I think. Well that was um... memorable, I guess???? No that film was terrible. Which was why I watched it. Because who doesn't love watching awful films with friends so you can snark the entire time.

Oh, god, I love doing that as well. My old college friends and I used to get together and do that all the time.

But seriously, I'm much more of a TV person myself. I love film, but series stick with me more cause we get more time with the characters and real proper character arcs. Then the shows go on too long and make me hate everything about it I used to love. Erm…maybe TV shows aren't the best either. *returns to my books*

Thaum’s Square

At first he was sure he was still dreaming. A bloody Atlas was telling him that he had been attacked by a cheese man! There was no way something like that happened in real life. But no, the way that everyone else responded and growing sense of alertness that Dylan felt convinced him that this situation was real. He hung back as Estelle questioned the man, not knowing what else he could add or even wanting to risk her ire.

That girl was crazy protective over Marcus.

But he had to admit that Trixie had a point when she stepped up to defend Atlas. “She’s right,” he added, his soft compared to the other’s demands. “If he had been involved he would be stupid to meet us here afterwards, especially looking like that. Now I don’t know if Trixie can really smell out this cheese man - if there was really one at all - but we might be able to find some clues.”

Gesturing at Atlas, he gave the man his best attempt at a smile. Unfortunately, it wasn’t that reassuring. “Lead on, then.”
Hello everyone! Had a busy day and am super tired, so I'll catch up on the ICs in a bit.

Ummm…I don't have a favorite movie…I like a lot of movies, but I don't know if there is one that I love above all others.
Hello! I'm not quite sure what's gonna happen next, so I hope the ending of my post is fine.

HAPPY FRIDAY EVERYONE!

Thaum’s Square

The Square was quite a sight with all sorts of shops and vendors. As soon as they arrived Dylan made a mad dash for the coffee vendor, grabbing himself a steaming cup while Lucy seemed intent on buying out all the other stalls. Dylan passed up the candied apples, content with waiting, but as time went on started feeling peckish. Eventually he approached a stall selling burritos, and once he arrived he spent a good five minutes picking out his dinner.

The poor blobfish still on his mind, he ordered one with only beans and veggies.

Upon returning, he found them all excited over a talking...white rabbit? “What on Ddear?” he said with a laugh. “Might have just been an illusion.” Laughing it off, he sat down to eat his dinner, before eventually dozing off in boredom.

“I’m mad! How dare Marcus be late!” Estelle said, shocking Dylan out of his light sleep. “When he gets here I’m going to give him a big fat piece of… my… mind…”

Dylan blinked, looking around in confusion. Was he still dreaming?
Good morning everyone! IT'S FINALLY FRIDAY! *sobs incoherently*

Also, at the risk of looking like an idiot - who's that on the pillow?
I'm looking forward to cat videos as well!

Also, I'm going to skip this round. I have nothing to add since it looks like we're waiting on a scene transition. But great start to the chapter!

Thaum: Bugtanical Gardens

The rest of the tournament flew by incredibly quickly, from Dylan returning to the ground with a grateful prayer, his fervent apologies to Trixie, and Estelle’s mad attempt to capture every bug in the forest. He remained with Don, unwilling to leave the millipiderien’s immediate area in case his second net should fail, and tried to cheer up his Big Bro. The plan was ultimately flawed, though, since Don got more and more unnerved with each prize that the Spider returned.

“Well,” Estelle smirked, placing both of her hands on her hips and lifting her head up in a proud, triumphant sneer. “I don’t know if we’ve got the biggest, but I’m sure we’ve got something that could win somewhere here! I think we should be able to take first, all the way down to 20!”

“Yes, it appears you have that down,” Dylan said with a smile as he petted the spider. The arachnid rubbed his face against Dylan’s - was that his way of hugging? “But I think the better question is - what should we call our new friend here? He needs a name. Don’t you, you cutie?”
Ahh, good luck on your finals! I'm sure you'll kick ass. My day was okay - work was rather dull but whatcha gonna do?
