Ganza loved the shadows, they were his home growing up and as a mercenary, they were a useful tool. Ganza sat in the corner of the small poorly lit cabin rolling a coin on his fingers ...waiting... The target was a man by the name of Bern Thereon, a Rose general staying in Eve to discuss an alliance between the two kingdoms. The door suddenly flew open and in stumbled a very drunk Bern. _This couldn't get any easier..._ Ganza thought to himself as the man stumbled over to a lantern hanging on the wall. He crept through the shadows, slowly inching closer until the man struck a match to light the lantern. Ganza gripped his hand over Bern's mouth and effortlessly slid his knife across the man's throat from ear to ear. He grabbed a rope from his belt and wrapped the noose around the man's feet, hastily throwing the other end over the rafters and beginning to hoist him up. Suddenly, with a grunt as he heaved on the rope, Ganza realized that Bern Thereon had spent much more time at the dinner table than he ever spent on the battle field. He tied the end of the rope off and headed for the door just as a guard stepped into the room. The guard stared up at Bern's body in horror, as it swayed from the rafters, spilling rivers of crimson blood upon the floor. His lips parted, to let out a call for help, but before even the slightest noise could escape, Ganza's knife buried in-between his eyes and the guard droped to the floor with a soft thud. Ganza ran out the door, without a moment to waste, but struggled to make his way through the trees surrounding the small clearing. Already, he could tell that the other guards had found the "gift" left behind. Their voices rose, and their footsteps grew more rushed as they searched out the assassin. Pushing his way through the forest, moving at full speed, Ganza broke through the tree line and came face to face with a cliff. More specifically, he stood with the tips of his feet off the edge of the island. For the slightest moment, he stood at the edge and listened to the horror behind him. Then, he closed his eyes, drew in a steady breath, and jumped.
