Mari quietly walked out of her house and into her garden, full of flowers of all colors and sizes. Patches of cherry grass and daisies sprung up along the grass, while hibiscus and lilac bushes stood tall, stretching in the morning sun. Morning glories were still blooming, and roses bushes clung along the wall of her small house. She walked through the garden, picking some of the beautiful blossoms as she passed.

"Oh my, it's a lovely day today, wouldn't you say so Lilac?" Mari asked Lilac, her pet silver wolf, in a soft voice. Lilac yipped happily back, trotting along side her master.

They continued towards the front of the cabin, where a wagon stood, filled to the brim with flowers of all kinds, lilies, moondrops, and irises all stood sat near the front, while kinds like poppies and violets sat near the back, delicately placed so as not to get crushed. Lilac ran to the front, and Mari attached the wagon leads to her, careful so as not to hurt her. They began walking, Lilac pulling the wagon while Mari carried the pack full of seeds.

Not soon after, they arrived at their destination, Niphan Gardens, the flower shop that her family had owned since long before she was born. Pushing the door open, she slid inside and placed the seeds on the front counter. Gradually the flowers were transported from wagon to their displays, and the seeds had been sorted and each put in small, britly colored cloth bags. Mari behind the counter, playing with Lilac and feeding her treats as they waited for customers. It was a good thing that the people here were appreciative of nature, or else her family would have suffered, but instead the business had thrived, and Mari had to constantly restock to keep up.
@Enalais: Yeah, I just needed a canine, and I was typing border collie when I remembered 'Wait, this is rune factory universe, they don't have border collies!'.
I forgot to add that Mari has a pet silver wolf, which she inherited from her grandmother, kind of like a gift to go with the flower shop.
Wait, so are you the adorable cat or the person dragging said cat? Let me pet yoooou!
ElderF said A shout escaped his lips unbidden. "Shut it!" Suddenly realizing his outburst, he waved his hands apologetically, "No, no, I didn't mean you, Katherine, sorry about that. Nevertheless, this is the age of science. I'm not so prone to flights of fancy and delusions as to so easily accept having a demon inside of me just to explain there recent incidences that happened to me. I mean, it could just be a genetic mutation, right? Something our level of science hasn't been able to figure out yet, right?" Yet even as he said it, he heard the hollowness and anxiety of his words, words meant for himself to try to waylay and avoid accepting the cold, hard reality presented to him. Turning to the others, Jorn more pleaded than asked, "Come on, you guys. Are you really serious about believing all this? Demons? Immortality? I mean, sure I healed up rather fast but I still bled like a stuck pig when I cut myself up. This all can't be true, right?" Jorn's voice quivered at the end of his sentence as he looked at each of them, hoping for someone to suddenly burst out in laughter and assure him it was all a joke

Tiffany looked up at the man who had spoken. He seemed to be the oldest, but he was growing increasingly panicky at the prospect of having a demon in his head, believing it to be all a farce. She wished to believe it too, but everything the woman had said was the truth. They indeed all had demons in their head.
He clings to the lies, not willing to acknowledge the truth. Disgusting. He's a liar. A LIAR! You should know now shouldn't you, sweetie? Go on, tell him. Tell them all. You know the truth. You're going to be stuck with me for the rest of your life, which happens to NEVER END!

Tiffany brought a hand up to hold her head, wincing as the voice got increasingly louder. It always did this when someone wasn't being truthful. "S-she's not l-lying. I can... t-tell. We really do have d-d-demons in our heads. Can't you h-hear it?" Tiffany winced again as the voice continued ranting, slowly sliding to the floor, head in hands. "I-I'm so s-sorry. It just won't stop." She was on the verge of tears. She had hoped that it wouldn't happen today, the there would finally be the peaceful silence she longed for every day.

"As you wish father." Alastair said breaking the arguments by smashing the whip on Lucy's back he got the fifteen strikes done. "I've done what you asked now that you know I can handle punishing them I'll take responsibility for the other one." Alastair said gripping the whip tighter he have himself ten lashes before handing the whip back to vlad he walked over to Lucy he was sorry for what he had to do but knew that he would be able to help the rest by doing so it was a necessary evil, He gave her his shirt, "I'd put my shirt on that way you dot have the fabric against your wounds." Alastair said putting a hand out to her.

Lucy held still, not flinching as the whip slashed her back. She looked up as Alastair came over, nodding her head before glancing around the room as if nothing had happened. She looked between Adalina and Roxy before sighing and rolling her eyes. She would have to do it herself. Slipping on her shirt, she walked over to the wall and sat next to Roxy, not letting her back touch the wall. "Hey." She sighed, rubbing the back of her neck. "You look terrible." Realizing how harsh she sounded with her voice so blank, she reverted back to a murmur. "...Does the collar hurt? Don't get me wrong, I still think you were being stupid for thinking people could choose their parents." She added, still annoyed from what Roxy had said earlier. But that didn't stop her from sitting next to someone who she could at least relate to a little rather than all the people who either din't care or claimed to know what she was talking about.
Aria walked down the docks, not in much of a hurry. She could that the boat was still there, and she knew she was in the right place due to the rather bright banner that hung across the dock. They must have completely refurnished the place, because she never remembered the docks being this clean. Then again, these docks were new, so they should be clean, but never underestimate the power of the filth the sailors brought back.

Aria glanced over at one of the sailors and inwardly grimaced. He was huge, but it looked like that didn't do him any good if his looks had anything to say about him. It wasn't that he was ugly, Aria would never judge someone because of their looks, or she tried not to. But the man was in horrible condition, With a pasty, almost grey skin, a scowl that sported a row full of crooked yellow teeth, save for his front two, which were missing. He had bruises on his arms and over his eye, and his lip was puffy and crusted with dry blood. His hair came out in tufts, as if some had been ripped out. Aria sent him a sympathetic smile as she passed, only to receive a snarl in return. Humans weren't received well here, nor anywhere Aria had been so far.

Aria grinned as she stepped towards the figures on the end of the dock, standing by a rather large boat. "'Ey there. Mr. Mathien, right? Nice ship." She gave a whistle before looking over at the other two at the dock. One was an elf in his older years, sporting a long beard. The other was a girl who seemed to be the same age as Aria herself, but she didn't entirely trust her judgement, looks could be deceiving. "'Ello. Oh, my name's Aria. Nice to meet you all!" She grinned warmly as she put her hands on her hips, fingers brushing against the hilt of her sword.
Looking around the room, Lucy noticed Roxy curled up in a ball. Slowly, she walked over to Adalina. "Do me a favor" Lucy whispered, not wanting Vlad or the others to hear. "Go check on that girl." She remembered the night before, Roxy had been there with her. Lucy realized it must be just as uncomfortable to watch anyone get beaten as it was for herself.

"God dammit." Lucy grumbled, getting increasingly annoyed. The one time she asked to be hurt, and no one will. Swiftly turning around for what felt like the hundredth time, she marched over to where Vlad and Alastair stood. "Just how much more time are we going to waste? You said we would be training, not running around like little children, showing off and complaining. Alastair is correct, we do need a battle captain. So just give me my lashings like a proper captain, and then can we get down to the important stuff. Y'know, actually training and making strategies, because out there in the battlefield, we are going to have to accomplish a simple mission. And if we fail, we won't get off with just a beating." Turning once more so that her back faced them, she stood up in soldier position. "So, do it." Her voice was devoid of any emotion, as if she hand't been yelling a few minutes ago. Her eyes stayed fixated on the wall, and her jaw was clenched. You couldn't tell what she was feeling by looking at her. She herself wasn't feeling much now, just annoyance.
She'll probably smell it and be like "Ew, you smell like lizards and blood."
