Bio

A 25-year-old nerd(?), male, from Germany. In-between jobs. Likes to play games and Pen and Paper (Tabletop RPG) Campaigns. Self-proclaimed author of a Lore/Setting, Master of Morgana in Mid Lane since Season 3 (NA server until recently, switched over to EUW for better Ping and playing with friends) and gamer extraordinaire. Soldier at heart, lover in mind. Dabbler of Arcana Seraph and master of demonology. Whether those things are true or not shall be held in the viewer's eye.

My interests are in settings up and about Vampire: The Masquerade (or anything non-Twilight related vampires -- I have not watched any vampire series like True Blood or Vampire Diaries), game settings of Dark Souls and fantasy settings such as Elder Scrolls or Dragon Age, and TV series such as Lucifer, just to name a few. Always open for conversation.

The Mutant Registration Act is similar to the one presented in X-Men. Mutants are forced to present themselves as mutants, along with their powers. In it's simplest form, it would be an addition to the usual ID of citizenship, including the mutation and such. Those that are less fortunate and have powers that are deemed "too powerful to control" would be held in custody with appropriate countermeasures and the imminent threat that they will be executed with the wrong move of a finger.

If things escalate too much, we'd have mutants running around with clear mutant identification or mutant concentration camps. Pretty much like the opening scene from Days of Future Past.
Claire smiled when Leopold showed up. "He should be fine. He looks exhausted. Breathing and pulse is fine." She picked up the teeth that the student lost during her healing. A dentist would not be able to tell the difference, though. Nevertheless, Claire found it necessary for the person to keep the teeth. Something about the toothfairy myth just entices her about her powers. She also accepted the connection people made between herself and this creature.

"I suppose you can drop him off in his room or in my office...", she muttered, rubbing her forehead in an attempt to recognize the student. She smiled at Leopold and made her way to her office. Whether the feline mutant would follow or not did not change the fact that the woman already had a student waiting in front of her office, to which she paid her attention to.

Amongst the freshmen, a small flow towards the exit of the auditorium began. Some decided to grab a bite, others wanted to drop off their luggage in their rooms, while others just wanted to grab some fresh air. The movement lead to people cramming together towards the exit. This lead to people bumping into one another. Even the staffmembers that wished to leave were caught up in the commotion. The Vice Headmistress did not mind it all too much. She took her time moving amongst the freshmen, her smile untouched by the events.

When a student bumped into her back, she stumbled into another. Her arms quickly grabbed onto the student she was moving into. "Oh, I am sorry", she muttered, looking at Daisy for a moment. The tone of her voice left the impression that she was not the one that should be apologizing. Nevertheless, she tried to get back onto steady feet. "I hope you are okay", Victoria mumbled, making sure that Daisy was doing fine.

-----

"Down with the mutants!" The voice of the megaphone barked into the entrance. "Registration or Concentration", chanted the group along. As if it were tradition by now, a group of redneck people gathered in front of the main entrance of the College and began their protest. Some of the "older" students gathered as well, mocking the people and making their own protests. It was growing more and more uncomfortable to watch, when some of the Mutant Registration Act supporters started throwing (even if close to harmless) plastic bottles at the mutants and they showed off some of their powers.

Is there room for a couple more characters in this? Cause I'd love to get in on this while it's fresh.

Name: Daisy “Daze” Bartolo
Alias: Roadkill
Age: 20
Gender: Female
((Sexuality: Bisexual ))

Appearance:

Powers:
Daisy was born with several opossum-like traits, such as ears, fangs, large dilated black eyes, and a long, fully functional tail, which can lift and grasp things. Her hands and feet are somewhat similar to an opossum as well, with non-retractable claws and opposable thumbs on each of her feet, which supply her better balance and grip.

Also like an opossum, Daisy is able to see well in low lighting, has heightened hearing/smell, and is immune to rattlesnake, copperhead, and cottonmouth venom, and resistant to many other types of poison. As a bonus, she is surprisingly flexible and nimble, which is mostly due to her small stature.

And, of course, she is also able to “play dead”, like an opossum does. It is involuntary as well, meaning that she’ll play dead any time she’s startled/scared, almost like fainting. She’s pretty vulnerable in this state, as it can last between one to four hours, depending on how startled she is.

She’s taken a few kick boxing classes and is pretty decent when it comes to simple self-defense. She has also done a bit of mental training to help her control the impulse to play dead when she’s startled—mostly through breathing techniques and practice handling jump scares and stressful situations. She can usually feel when her body wants to play dead, and if she calms herself down enough beforehand, then it won’t happen.

Bio:
Daisy was born in Connecticut, to a single mother in a very large but close niche family. Despite her deformities, Daisy was always loved by her family and raised to be proud and happy for being different. Thanks to the strong support at home, Daisy managed to attend public school without too much trouble, dodging bullies where she could, and ignoring others when she couldn’t. It wasn’t until around her senior year of high school that her parents pressed for her to take a few self-defense classes, worrying about her safety as an adult mutant.

After graduating high school, Daisy decided that her next step would be to attend college, and she spent about a couple of years working towards that goal. With the help of her family and two full-time jobs, she actually managed to scrape just enough together to attend the Grinder, which had always been her dream school. Her goal is to go into physical therapy, and she has a deep passion for dance and music that she wants to somehow bring into play. What she is most excited for, however, is the chance to meet other mutants.

Name: Julian “Jules” Rockwell
Alias: Wrecking Ball
Age: 19
Gender: Female
((Sexuality: Homosexual ))

Appearance:

Powers:
Invulnerability. Essentially, Jules is invulnerable and near indestructible against any sort of physical attack on her body. Got a gun? Good luck. Flamethrower? Not a sweat (ha). She is even immune to most types of radiation and high-impact attacks. Because she cannot be physically damaged (easily) she usually doesn’t feel pain. Her mutation does not affect her physical strength, so she is only as strong as she works to be.

She has taken a few basic self-defense classes and somewhat knows how to handle herself. Because of her mutation though, she tends to make reckless decisions in believe that she cannot be harmed. It’s usually true, but can sometimes get her into even messier situations.

Weaknesses: Mental attacks or illusion, as well as anything that might cut off oxygen to her system. Certain air-born poisons might also slow her down, but for only as long as it takes for her body to metabolize them. Her mutation, for some reason, is accompanied by a very fast metabolism, so she requires a lot more nutrients and protein than the average person.

Right now, if too much pressure placed on her body, say from being crushed or attacked continuously for long periods of time, she will begin to feel it and take damage. It’s usually only minimal, such as a bruise or a light sprain in place of what should have been shattered bones, but with her reckless behavior, the damage can easily pile up. This can also be improved upon with practice and endurance training, which she plans to work on.

Bio: Jules was the youngest of four in a well-known politician’s family living in a nicer part of New York. Most of her childhood was spent with maids or nannies, and very little of it with her actual parents, making her relationship with them shallow at best. Despite not always seeing eye to eye with them, she did her best to stay out of trouble and did well in both academics and family matters.

About a month after her 16th birthday, their house was broken into by burglars, which resulted in the whole family being held at gunpoint. It was only a small slip up that caused it, really. The burglars obviously weren’t really in it to hurt anybody, but one Jules’ mother was panicking and they just didn’t have a steady trigger finger. In the end, one of the men directed his gun towards Jules, and her mother moved in the way of the shot, which should have gone through both of them. The burglars didn’t stick around long enough after to realize exactly who had died, but Jules’ family did. Her father was the most at odds with it, shocked at his wife’s useless sacrifice, and angry at his daughter for surviving and being a mutant.

After the incident, things mostly went back to normal, except for the increase in distance that seemed to place itself between Jules and her family. Her father especially became colder towards her, even going as far as to exclude her from publicity events that he otherwise brought her siblings to. Eventually, events all boiled up to her being asked to move out after high school graduation. With just a few bags and a checking account with about $10,000 in savings, Jules’ father essentially said “see ya” and cut all ties to her.

About a year later, after adjusting to a small apartment and a part time job, Jules began to think about attending college. She’d always been smart, and easily earned herself a nice sized scholarship to the Grind. Her current goal is law, but eventually, she wants to enter into politics. She holds a faint grudge against her father, but has otherwise moved on and tries to forget about her previous life.
Also @WanderingSpirit : You are in as well.
I have no issue with Wrecking Ball. I'll also be getting in another post in a few.

Edit: Just realized that I put that Alex had a brother in his bio. Dark could you edit that in the character thread to sister?

Sure thing.

@Dark Eternity

I'll be sure not to over-play her abilities any, if that's what worries you or anyone else. I know its shitty when abilities like hers are abused.

Well, I put both of them into the char tab. Feel free to post.
If no one has a big issue with that, then Wrecking Ball would be accepted as well...

Also I didn't know whether Luke passed out or not, but no matter what your ankles were strained probably and you got some new teeth :)

Bio:
At an early age, Markus always traveled into his little library when he was a little child and read the tiny childish books that he found in the shelves. This was the first power that he discovered but upon learning how to write and read he soon discovered his other powers. Turning words into a weapon and shield for him and his experty only grew as he aged and increased his education both at school along with his library. He discovered what The Grinder was through the help of his library however finished his regular schooling before finally departing from his normal life with his friends and randomly appeared on campus on day. It was more of a precauction for him as he didn't want to abuse his powers or mishandle them which might end badly for him or his unfortunate victims. Coming to Grinder was the best choice after he finished high school with the majority of his grades being above average but could of been better if he put more commitment into school instead of reading all the time.
A student falling down is a rare sight, even for the Grinder. Surrounding students either gasped and were shocked, or they actually began getting one of the teachers. One of the students burst into the auditorium and called out to the staff that were there that a student fell unconscious. Lucky for them, the nurse was present.

At once, the small framed figure of Claire "Toothfairy" SaintFrederics made her way through the students out of the auditorium. "Someone go and grab some water", she called out with her calm and quiet voice to the students that were leading her to Luke. Once she was by the student, there were quite a few that were backing off and disappearing. First Claire checked pulse and breathing, making sure that Luke was doing alright. One of the students brave enough to stay mentioned that they saw him limping inside, to which the nurse checked the ankles of the young man. She sighed a moment.

The young woman rubbed her hands together and then grabbed Luke's ankles. At once, the ankles were healing, the straining disappearing and the muscles getting invigorated. Immediately, the woman opened the unconscious student's mouth and plucked out some teeth that were already falling out. She placed two front teeth and a back tooth aside and made sure that Luke would wake up, or that a student would be so helpful and carry him to the medical station...
@Fumari

Well, I am fine with Roadkill. The thing with Wrecking Ball is that she is pretty much Emma Frost's Diamondskin without the need to change into it, so it's permanently active. While you have tone it down a lot, I am unsure as to whether this is not a little too much anyways...
So wait, your character is able to use the ancient language as incantation for any effect, with the cost of draining his energy rapidly? Hm... Well, I guess it looks fine, then...
