I like Brink's map, but it looks a bit small. That said, if we could get it to work, it's pretty damn good.
Mikkish, you die or something, man? xD

See, I considered doing that myself, but I think a bunch of MS paint blobs over a legitimate picture of the galaxy would look silly.

I think you could make it work if you used not a picture of a galaxy but a starry background, or just a black one. Just that would probably make the map look a lot better, even if the stars didn't correlate with the position of our empires. A lot of people have already volunteered to pretty it up so i won't exactly, but know that i'm out here too if you need me for graphical stuff.
My nation is not destroying any planets, just charring the surface. Their weapons are designed to be effective against domestic targets and are merely used against foreign ones because it is convenient.

I can't imagine why your people would do such a thing though, given there are basically no advantages to it for most species. Why waste all that infrastructure? Why go to the effort of having to terraform the planet or an unrelated moon after?

What's that line that Joker said way-back-when?

"It's not about the money." (or in this case planet) "It's about sending a message: Everything burns." ;)
@Shorticus
Their version of antipersonnel weapons are massive (yet-unnamed) bombs used to scorch significant percentages of a planet.

War with or among my Collective is something quite unlike what you would expect from literally every other species, at the least the X'cor have use for slaves. The mats do not.

I dunno. It sounds like how my nation will/would/might operate. "Bomb the planet until 90% of it is a magma ocean, and then colonize its moon."
@Hael Totally going to doubt your leader somehow, at sometime.
Or perhaps an Alien translation of the title?

You can certainly tell that i'm a fan of that one. xD
@Hael Thanks for getting back to me on that, i figured as much, but you didn't say anything about it so i wanted to bring it up.
@ClocktowerEchos I'm very curious now what first contact will be like. xD
I for one welcome our neko overlords.

But no, really, Arawak has a point.
