Current The hidden benefit of wearing 8 rings total? They double as a pair of brass knuckles in case you get into a fight.

Just as we would turn around and condemn or laugh at our ancestors for their barbarism, our descendants will do the same.

I'm happy with participating in a single RP - Something tells me I'm the only one?

In Batam for a month after quitting my job. Been powering through my writing since. I guess this is where I call myself a full-time professional writer.

Hmm... I like your style. I guess I'll make my interest official.

These days I'm casting my net a little wider. RP survival rate is weak these days. :( And the ones I've joined don't look so good. I think they might be bitten and might wound up dead anytime soon XD But really, I hope that's not the case because they're quite awesome.

It's funny that you should mention a Katana-wielding Navy Seal, because the character I've been using happens to be a Katana-wielding UN peacekeeper from Japan (To explain the Katana, it's because he's a medical officer in the 2nd Kyonshikirapeitai Division, an army unit put together hastily that specialises in combating zombies). He's balanced by not excelling in modern warfare due to being forced into the military, having had a long and fruitful career in medicine before. His most recent medical stint was as a... *drumroll* pediatrician :) So he's good-natured and pacifistic and would have preferred to spend all his time with children if it weren't for the dead deciding to join the tea party.

He happens to be quite popular, having been accepted (though only tentatively by the GM in the second RP, who will defer to her Co-GM) twice on last count. I plan to reuse him again here if this RP really takes off, as my alternative (I don't see a half-mad but hardened 10-year-old girl leading a camp or sitting in its committee, do you?) wouldn't work here.
It sounds like a CYOA (Choose Your Own Adventure) instead of an RP... Which would be a problem. The former is just one guy writing a story with an audience who chooses the outcome of a chapter. It seemed like the focus will be put on the community rather than the individuals that comprise it, which would contribute to this issue. But of course, nothing much has been planned yet, so I wouldn't know.

You could always choose to combine both approaches I guess? In a normal RP, the GM chooses what happens next, but if we throw in a few CYOA elements, which is what you plan to do, then what happens next seems to be left up to the RPers. I find this approach interesting.

Just thought I'd throw this out there. I'm already involved in 2 Zombie RPs, one which is going slow and the other which seems to be stuck on an interest check, so... I guess I'll be open-minded and see where this interest check goes. Subscribed!
Yep, you do that. :)
Fair enough :)

Meh it's writers blocked mixed in with some food poisoning I think. I desperately want to throw up and feel better but I cant seem too :L

Ouch! Now that's terrible! Get well soon. You should probably see a doctor. But if it's minor enough, it'd go away on its own in my experience. Don't take my word for it, it's different for everyone. My immune system is insane, and it could get me back on my feet within a day or less from things like food poisoning, fever and heat stroke.
Yeah I was just thinking would the Captain know everyones name just by a look in a dark bar, especially since the files would be in English

EDITT: Will also elongate my post at some point, I am feeling failry shit right now so the creativity is not flowing as it should :L

Matt would have been a fellow health professional, and as for Jack, I'd imagine it isn't the first time they met? Captain Hisashi gives everyone a health screening on a monthly basis, and I would imagine that this wasn't the first time Jack's a troublemaker. Maybe Hisashi had let him off before? I was hoping to establish character relationship even before we start...

Furthermore, I described Hisashi to have 'barely passed his English tests', so the language isn't the problem when it comes to basic things. Even English medical terms aren't a problem. Just don't expect him to write or understand Shakespeare or even most modern poems. The cultural, historical aspects and the connotations of words would be a hindrance to him, but not the technical stuff.

Also, I might tweak my post here and there too. I'm a perfectionist like that :D

And what happened to you? Flu? Fever? Ebola? Or is it something even worst *Gasp* Is it Writer's Block?
everyone in camp is registered or at least taken note of in camp. I was thinking that the US soldiers and administrators in camp had such a system in place and all Captain Ishida Hisashi did is to use it.

Without such an organisation, system and a census of sorts, a refugee camp, especially a sizeable one can't be run, I'd like to think.
Are ye ready kids? Hi-aye captain! I can't hear you! Hi-aye, captain! Oh.... Who lives under a pineapple under the sea? Captain Shelton! Who's yellow and porous and spongy is he? Captain Shelton! Sorry, got a little bored there :D
I have a few questions, Nallore. Isn't Tanya's sister's name Alexis rather than Maria? And how old is Alexis? Since Tanya's 20, I would assume that she's at least an older teenager? But the way she's portrayed she seem to be much younger than that.
"No." Captain Ishida Hisashi rejected the offer, before remembering the more socially graceful words, "thank you. That would be illegal. What ration is given to you is your own. Supplies are limited." He had always had difficulty expressing himself in the language of the land, partly due to his basic grasp of it. All he could do was to state facts, but what he felt and what he thought were constantly locked inside of him. He could state those as facts too, but that would be insufficient.

Looking down at Alexis, Tanya's younger sister, he couldn't help but to crack a smile, "Hello, Alexis-Chan. It is good that you are reading." Before turning back, rather reluctantly, to her guardian. Behind her was her dinner - they were eating out of cans again. In fact, most people were these days. Modern living by itself was unhealthy in some ways, and to live in a fallen modern society would be worse. The 'farm' that was set out would not be able to feed everyone around the year, very far from it in fact. The very same thing that was sustaining them was killing them over the long term.

"Tanya-Kun, you missed your medical appointment today." The medical officer said, concern trickling through. "While you and your sister's last screening has uncovered little health issues, a month passing is a very long time." Bringing up his computer, he checked his digital schedule. After pressing a few virtual buttons and passing between virtual windows, he came upon the right day on his calender. "I have another window for you open two days later. Or I could do it tonight."

Looking at the kid again, he remembered what Jack had said behind his back as he was leaving the bar-n, what some people were saying when they thought he couldn't hear or understand. While they didn't have the power to remove him from his duty, what they had said had cut deeper than that. Looking at the kid had given him some hope. "We will protect Alexis-Chan. No matter what it takes." He said to Tanya as he smiled again at the youngling.
In the meantime I'll be waiting on Nallore.
