>Well assuming he survives, I imagine he'll have a lot more to be confused about.

That too, about 2000 or more years of advancement in one week shall do.

>We've got vampires, Deadites, cyborgs, Terminators, an eldritch entity (eventually) and its cult, and sooner or later we're going to be up against the Reapers from Mass Effect and Brethren Moons from Dead Space.

Figured. He's just very confused about the city in general having towering buildings right now.
Kirk Douglas starred in the original Spartacus.
Gladiator was great film, I liked 300 as well.
Channing Tatum in The Eagle wasn't too bad.
There was a film I saw, cant remember name, but it started off as Romans, then turned to Camelot...which was a huge plot twist. It was a good film, I remember Ben Kingsley played Merlin.

I haven't seen the Eagle or otherwise. I know 300 got a sequel.

Hmmm, I haven't seen that either. I know Assassin's Creed Odessey had King Leo as a character and his grandkids in it, Kassandra and her brother, I think?
I placed an opening for Marius. Don't know if it fits in with the story though.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Marius found himself in another area, towering buildings above him. "... Where AM I?"

... The area seemed packed with various creatures, and he had no way to determine where he was and if this was even the Rome he left earlier.

And if this was even the time he left.

Instead, the Centurion was left with only various ancient tools of war and not sure if any of those would work on these creatures (at all).

Also Ryse has a little live action series as well.
I also enjoy the old movies such as Gladiator, Spartagus, Ben hur and also 300.

Spartagus had a spinoff series as well: Blood and Sand. It was great.
Yes, from Ryse, an old Xbox game.

I've always liked that period along with the Greeks. I'm weird, I like old movies like that.

Name: Marius Titus
Age: Unknown
Gender: Male
Personality: Marius, as a child, always wanted to be a soldier. Listening to his father’s purely philosophical stories and learning of the ways of the senate really grew who he was inside. His mother was the caretaker, taking care of his younger sister, Honorus and supportive of the roles. His mother, being overprotective of her children, refused Marius’s passion for wanting to become like his father. The family had many enemies and Marius is so used to fighting for the country of Rome that he’d forgotten his own morals in the process as his Centurion and mentor, Vatillian has told him many times over. In his play, he emulated his father in both stubbornness and pure skill with weapons.

Being in war had numbed his emotions to the point of being fearless. He sucks his own feelings and morals to support the whole 14th legion over himself. This in turn, makes him many friends and allies for sticking up for his own men on and off the battlefield.

He has numerous times told his Commander and mentor, Vatallion to go off without him in battle, believing only he himself can fight the threat at hand. Yet his overconfidence at fighting foes that he can go toe to toe with often ends up with him winning. This gives him a much-needed boost in confidence on the battlefield.

Only in battle does his morals stand the test of time. Marius shows his wit and courage through firefight after firefight fighting the barbarian horde to get out the men he trusts and men he does not care for very much.
