Sound listened to the two business ponies debrief the entire caravan of what they will be doing on this trip and such. At the same time he went ahead and scanned over the all the carriages and the various caravans, soon enough spotting Midnight waving to them. He also took mental note of all the given senior guards that were being named off. Each of them showing some trait of being one of those bad asses of the wastes. Upon the ponies finishing the speech Sound turned back to face Sparks. “Im going to join Symphony over at the carriages, your of course welcome to join us, but I noticed that you aren’t armed, so I don’t know if you wanted to go to the passenger carriage or not. Which, by the way, we need to get you a gun, for now though I want you to take my knife. Once we get you a more suitable weapon you can give it back, this isn’t a request the wastes are dangerous and for my own piece of mind I need to know you can defend yourself at all times.”
Sound used his teeth to unbuckle the straps from his foreleg and remove the combat knife from his leg. He then grabbed Sparks foreleg and quickly strapped the blade sheath tightly to her leg. “I know it’s a bit tight but flex a few times and it should loosen a little, it needs to be pretty tight though, for one to make sure it doesn’t fall off and two if the sheath is too loose on either end it may bend and make drawing the blade difficult. Theres a clasp that fits around the teeth card for when the blade is sheathed to make sure it doesn’t fall out while walking or running.”
Sound kissed her fore head as he made for a quick hug again. “I said I would protect you, and so I will even if im not physically there. Next stop we make I’ll teach you the basics of using a blade okay. I’m gonna head down and talk to Symphony now alright? Do you want to come with me or do you want to join the others in the armored carriage? Its up to you but the carriage will be safer just so you know.” Sound waited for her decision before he trotted off to his other newly acquired friend.
Still weak from the night before, Thunder sorta clumsily lifted himself up onto the carriage next to the Reaper right after he gave a quick bow of recognition. “Yes, well, I’m no normal pony and one of the benefits of being a pony like me is that there is nothing left in this world that can intimidate me. Don’t misunderstand though, my combat skills are negligeable and I do not consider myself any more powerful than the majority of the weaker ponies here. However, certain circumstances have made me… immune to most natural fears. Anyways, very astute of you, is it my reputation that precedes me this day or just a name on a list?”
Thunder went ahead and laid down behind the reaper setting his equipment to the side of him and closing his eyes. Though he had not begun napping yet as he continued to talk to the black pony. “The Reapers have been a group that has peeked my curiosity for some time now. I wish to learn more about them so I may enlighten myself on how the Reaper society may benefit me in some way and how I may be of use in return. While yes I did say my combative skills are negligible, my skills do not reside in those areas and I can be quite dangerous to those who cross me in my own unique way. However, before all that, I believe I am due for a name or title if your that kind of pony in which I may refer to you as it is clear you have already discovered my own by your own terms.” Thunder opened one eye and began looking the Reaper over as if to be appraising him, as well as checking him out a little. He may be small but maybe he was packing some big surprises. If not then, too bad, he still had the crystal pony to return to if he was in the mood, that pony had proven to be of high value to Thunder and wished to keep him for a while.
