By the time the Caravan was starting to roll out Thunder was just about ready to nod off to sleep. “Tis true, I am a narcissist. No denying the superiority complex that I hold over most pony’s I meet. However, unlike other narcissists, I’ve actually gone out of my way to make sure I know all my weaknesses and folly’s so I know just who to fuck and not to fuck. Both figuratively and literally that is. The fact remains though, that I’m a goddamned genius and no pony’s ever been able to outsmart me. Also, be aware that I’m not making any assumptions, I’m sure you reapers have your foals club top secret information, but the only thing I need to know is that you’re ‘government’ is run by power, the one who’s the strongest in the pack leads the rest. And those, ‘Onyx’ are the easiest to destabilize no matter how powerful the leader may be.” Thunder yawned and shoved the canteen back into his bag after Onyx had finished drinking. “And no there wasn’t any poison in there, I have no reason to kill you especially right now. In fact I was hoping we could be friends, or at least temporary allies if you must. Just cuz I said I could destroy the reaper foundation doesn’t mean I want to and if I did, that’s even more reason to keep you alive. When I wake up hoof me whatever weapons you got and I’ll see what I can do with them.”
Thunder listened to the sound of the caravan move across the bridge and the gates closing behind them. He had memorized their route and was mapping out where they were according to their current speed and where they might be when he wakes up. Taking in account of a speed reduction when entering the city. Thunder finally nodded off and only a soft snoozing sound could be heard from him as his breaths came in lightly. Even as the tension grew as the caravan made its way through the city. Thunder did maintain a half wakefulness, just in case something did go wrong he would be able to react quickly to it.
=====================================================================
Sound trotted over to meet with sound on the carriage he was currently residing on. Sound was honestly worried about Sparks, and feared she may suffer an anxiety attack as they left the city. However, he wouldn’t be helping her if he coddled her all the way through this, she needed to be self-reliant. If something were to go wrong on this trip and they were to get separated from the caravan, well she wouldn’t stand a chance if she couldn’t defend herself.
Sound dropped the face of worry and replaced it with excited joy as he felt there was no use for worrying right now. Sound jumped up onto the cart and plopped down next to Symphony with a big grin on his face. “How’s my musical bat doing? I see you got yourself some breakfast to your own liking. You know I never got you back for last night…” Sound suddenly leaned in and planted a heavy wet kiss right on Symphony’s cheek and then quickly drew back. “So, whats up? Do you know any of these other ponies, I mean I see the big guy from last night but you can spot him from a mile away.”
When the caravan reached the city, sound went ahead and drew his gun just as a precaution. He then began to sweep the high windows and rooftops with his eyes in order to watch for snipers. Sound wasn’t to concerned about it though as this was just a precautionary habit he picked up for whenever he was in cities. Symphonies music however was quite soothing and made him a bit tired and it wasn’t long before sound took to resting up against symphony as he sang. Of course sound didn’t stop scanning the rooftops, he was just doing it a bit more lazily as he layed down and had sat his pistol in his lap.
