Zoey shrugged, "About normal for someone like me. After I got the lay of the land anyway. Lots of putting away things-that-go-bump-in-the-night." She turned her mask over in her hands: In honesty, most conversations with her didn't last this long. Maybe a sentence before the hypothetical person saw her and fled. So, so far, a successful engagement into social entanglement. She levitated from the kitchen a tea kettle she'd been boiling earlier and some cups, and set them on the table. A parlor trick, really, but useful. She poured herself a cup and snapped. Instantly, the steaming liquid changed into what looked like hot chocolate, though before it was a peach tea. Again, a simple illusion spell. She hated tea, but it was beneficial to drink. After a quick sip, she laid back into the chair and observed Travis. He honestly looked a bit like a cowboy without the hat, or the six shooter. It probably didn't help that he was in bad shape.

She took his cup and dumped the regular tea packet out, pulling out one of her pouches. She opened the soft, satin pouch and took out a pinch of purple petals that gloo very faintly and placed them in a small steel ball that was also in the pouch. She put that in the cup, and poured the boiling water in. The result was a water that was slowly growing more, and more purple over time. She set that in front of him, and went back to the couch to study her the state of her hands.

"Now that you mention it, though," she continues, "There was a particularly large spider in one of the caves that gave me some trouble. It wasn't tough perse, just fast on it's, errr, claws. Knicked my hand here," she tapped on the space between her thumb and pointer. "Still, it's taken care of.

Zoey was loitering around in the lobby area, reading a murder-mystery novel on one of the large couches. She seemed to be boredly thumbing through it, the well-worn cover held together by thick, clear tape. She set it on a side table and stretch, sighing. Her illusion was down, allowing herself to be viewed in her full, altered state. Her ears flicked as she heard Travis coming down the stairs. Well, smelled him first really. The disheveled state Travis had been keeping himself in the last week or so made him easily identifiable.

She briefly considered throwing up her illusion again, but shrugged the thought off. At worst, she could explain it away as a trial cosplay spell. At best, he wouldn't care. She sat up and looked his way, "'And so, the scientist emerged from his lab for the first time in weeks, his lab coat in shambles and his glasses a mess. But he'd done it: he'd finally found the missing piece of the puzzle.' An interesting quote to stop on as you come down the stairs, eh? How goes things?"
Zoey took note of what Felix was saying, and decided she would continue her hunting duties here, wherever here was. She also noticed a distinct lack of meat on the table however, and frowned a bit. She took some toast and some fruit, and would eat that with some of the jerky she had on her person. Maybe not the most refined of breakfasts, but she'd rather have the jerky at this point than overly rich desert pancake and eggs on rice on eggs with broccoli. She found a spot to eat a little closer to a corner, and would continue to pretend like she didn't exist unless someone engaged her directly. That was more likely at the moment, however, because the illusion spell was up.
Zoey blinks at the new guy, who seems to have no trouble with her appearance without the illusion spell up, and shrugs. For a time, they game together, both relatively good at the game for different reasons. Then he dropped his name and just left, before giving her a chance to introduce herself. On the other hand, he mentioned breakfast and she could now smell it. She sighed happily and re-upped her illusion spell, padding softly back upstairs.
Zoey looked around the scene she had just entered in on; a handful of people standing over a body, one person putting energy into it. One person looked like he had just come down the staircase, and that was (so far) the only person who had noticed their entry. Which was shocking, because it wasn't exactly a stealthy entry. That said, Zoey knew nobody really well, and the name of only one person. She decided to silently explore her surroundings while she had the chance.

She started with the basement, since the entrance to that seemed close by, and padded down there, taking a moment to drop the illusion now that she was out of immediate sight. Conserving mana was a bit of a habit. When she got to the basement level, she noticed a big pool. One she had been smelling for a while, sure. Not really interested in diving face-first into a chemical bath, she went through a door on the same level and was greeted to a much more welcoming sight. Junk food, arcade games, television... things she hadn't been around since her transformation. While she never regretted changing, she missed these things alot. When she was a kid, she had bummed around arcades plenty often to remember the joy.

Her quest for exploration lost, she began popping popcorn, and obtaining a soda from the corner confectionery, she began playing House of the Dead 3.
Zoey raises an eyebrow, but says nothing. Looking about as if trying to memorize the place, she nods and walks to within touching distance of Felix. "Very well, I am ready. Take me to this team, then." She makes sure that her illusion is very much up, thus looking very normal and not disturbing in the slightest. In fact, she looked pretty average for an American all around, if a little bit like a slob with her sweats and tossed t-shirt. Nobody would be particularly swayed either direction at the sight of her as she was.
She looks at the ground, "My position in the Convent has lead me on long stretches without companions. My visage is not the most well received of forms, either. Knowing this, I give you a chance to reconsider your request. I am not the most easy of companions you could wish for. I do, however, possess a set of skills applicable to your mission. Your terms are not counter to my obligations or observances, nor my duty. Assuming you take no trouble with me, I take no trouble in our temporary alliance."

She looks him in the eyes, and for the briefest of moments the illusion drops around her, super-positioning both images together. As things stand, she seems to be accepting the request.
She stays silent for a while, watching the sun rise and the shadows in the mountain grow. "A man from the church, who knows my name. I don't know if I should be flattered, or running." She turns towards him, making no effort to hide herself, her weapons, or her faith. "Despite my instincts telling me to knock you out and run, I get the feeling this has little to do with the Church. That smell on you is weak." She stares him up and down. "What can I do for you, Felix Glasius?"

She then put on her pendant and imbued it with magic, transforming into a human guise. This form had brown hair in a braid down her back, green eyes, and tanned skin casual clothes, making the pendant feel a little out of place. To Felix, it would be clear that this was just a comforting illusion, but also a well-crafted one. She looked tiredly over herself and nodded; a human look, for human business.
Zoey pushed aside her mask, gazing at the glowing, crystal moon in the cave she had found herself drawn to. It's beautiful, soft gold radiance pulsed gently in the darkness of the cave. She glanced both ways, verifying that there was nothing waiting for her, then stepped to the artifact. Gently lifting it from it's pedestal, she instantly noticed how, in it's glow, her furred body began to take on a more human appearance. Gasping, she nearly dropped the golden crescent, but felt compelled to continue holding it, as if someone had clasped it to her hand as a gift. She turned it over, noticing the chain affixed to top. An amulet... it feels a bit like illusion magic too. Testing it, she gently returned the artifact to it's pedestal. Sure enough, her purple hues returned eagerly. Slowly, she reached again for the amulet to similar effect, holding it to her face to better look at it. Other than it's clear, precise cuts and gentle glow, there seemed to be nothing special about it. In fact, even the glow faded as it lost it's charge, faintly pulsing one last time. Zoey frowned at it in thought, It seems harmless enough, and can get me into towns when it isn't Halloween... But I still know nothing of it. An interesting puzzle, but nothing ever gets done without a spot of risk.

She held the object in her hand and concentrated, gathering her blue mana within herself to charge the crystal. Almost instantly, the amulet flashed blue, requiring next to nothing to charge. Instantly, the magic spread over her body, reverting her appearance to a human look. A look she hadn't had in... years, to say the least. She looked at her hands, trying to get over the fact that they looked like... These are my hands. From... before. This look like me! But, not me... at the same time. She sighed and put the amulet in a pouch around her waist, seemingly enough to stop it's magic at the moment. After a quick look around the small cave, she returned to the mouth with it's crude, scratched art of a moon on the face that had drawn her into the cave in the first place. Pausing at that mouth, she gazed up at the sky, clear of clouds and obstructions and dark with the night.
Name: Zoey Ash

Sex: Female
Age: 29
Appearance:

Basic Appearance: As the picture suggests, she is one of the few in the Lunar Coven to fully devote herself to the more animalistic side of their magic, having developed a purplish fur and skin across her body, a tail, and oversized wolf ears. However, unlike most within her specialized group, she has studied the other magics in conjunction, producing an artifact that may cast the illusion of her former appearance.

This appearance is that of an averaged-sized, if beautiful, woman in her late 20’s. Though her clothes may change to suit the occasion, she is most commonly in street clothes; tee-shirts and jeans. However, she does consistently wear a small gold necklace with a wolf charm, in both forms, into which the illusion magic is imbedded. Her eyes are silver, and her hair does come out purple now, though it used to be brown. The most common excuse she uses is that she dyes it.
Zoey uses a her clawed feet and and pouch of throwing stars as her primary weapons.

Abilities
Passive:
Wulvmorph: She is able to smell and hear better than normal humans, and has the ability to see clearly at night. She is also more agile and resistant to injury
Lunar communication: She is able to understand and communicate simple messages with and through creatures of the night. These include things such as bats, wolves, and similarly disposed creatures.
Alchemical experience: She has a proficient knowledge in night time flora and their uses, typically applied to wounds and antitoxins.
Illusory-form: She can pass off easily as a normal human with good senses because of her pendant, which is easily charged.
Active:
Shapeshift: She is able to shapeshift at will into a wolf, which dramatically increases her ground speed and agility. She is still able to cast magic out of this wolf form, meaning that if she were ever trapped as a wolf she would still be able to communicate and uphold her duties.
Illusion magic: She is able to cast a quick spell for minimal affect: Speech out of wolf form, a brief vision, a flash of light, etc. with no preparation. Otherwise, depending on the complexity of the spell, and the distance of the illusory site from her casting zone, there can be a substantial set-up time for the spell.
Teleport: She is able to teleport up to a distance of about 20 yards without preparation. Other distance may require anywhere from a 40 minutes to an entire week to prepare for.
Noctalance: A lance of silver life that causes a freezing puncture wound, called from above. It is most effective at night with a full moon, but can be used to affect even in the day. (Though at such times they are little more than needles the size of a toothpick.)
Shadow dance: A highly complex maneuver of shadow magic, it uses two steps. Manipulation of shadows and darkness, and a unique, highly specialized teleport that requires those shadows. The effect is a blindingly fast teleport that can be used to apply rapid strikes to a target, typically one per teleport. It looks like passing through liquid shadows to pop out of another liquid shadow.
Moon’s Bounty: A small-scale healing and stabilization magic, it involves drawing a crescent rune on the target and charging it with magic, which will ensure the target won’t die of something physical and slowly heal them over time, for as long as the rune persists. The mark is low-energy, but also generally doesn’t heal much more than a scraped knee in it’s duration unless it is charged beyond. The direct-spell version of this would feel like getting dunked in ice water, and coming out with fresh, but the feeling is described as, “Undesirable, to be used only if the person would otherwise die. Because they would otherwise wish that they had.”

Backstory
Zoey is from a town called Billings, a relatively large town in Montana. Her story of joining the Lunar Coven is actually one of the less eventful ones: she was approached one night while she was in college and accepted. A talent, she quickly acquired her skills within the Coven and acquired the title of Acolyte. As an acolyte, she established herself as one of the best, able to easily practice in the large, open ground of her home state, and train in the rougher, mountainous regions also found in the unremarkable stretch. Eventually, she reached a status of elitism. Having chosen to pursue transformation magic, this culminated in a visit from “the Aspect of the Wolf,” a spirit entity of the highest rank within their order, though also not human. She received it’s blessing, becoming infused with it’s power to become the creature she is today. She still faithfully serves the Coven, believing in their work to make the night a little less bumpy for the more ignorant humans of her region.

Personality
Cheerful, though both independent and private, she is used to going long times with only brief social contact. While she isn’t overly rude, she does speak her mind and may occasionally misspeak, missing a social clue or such. That said, she is concerned with helping people, and will act in the way she believes will help humans. She believes herself to be a good person, and still human. While she is used to such comments now, it still will sting her pride if she is referred to anything else.

She does not get angry often, but if she is made to become angry, she tends to act quickly and explosively. Such outbursts do not usually involve violence, but it is still not recommended.
