Appearance: Ed is a tall man, standing at around six feet and two inches. His build is rather muscular and stocky from his time working on a mining colony. He has close-cropped brown hair and green eyes. A large scar runs across the bridge of his nose from an incident when he was younger. He is rarely seen without his ratty black leather jacket.
Homeworld: Ed was born and raised on a backwater mining colony called Pegasus. It's arid mountain climate and rich mineral deposits made it a popular spot for corporations to set up their own mining projects; though the harshness of the climate combined with the 40 hour long day cycle makes it somewhat of a risky project. The planet's capital, Trinity, is one of the only major built up areas on the entire world.
Personality: Ed is rather "rough and tumble". He is brash and a little quick to anger. He was never very well educated, although he displays a small natural talent for driving and flying vehicles. He spent a lot of his youth after his father's death running with a street gang, giving him a strong sense of loyalty (And a skewed set of priorities).
Skills: Ed's most marketable skill is his ability behind the controls of a vehicle, spacecraft mostly. He is also competent at defending himself, be it in a fistfight or with a gun.
Motivation: Much like his father, Ed was resigned to the life of a poor miner doomed never to leave Pegasus. He worked there from a young age, signing up as an apprentice at 16. Unfortunately, his father died during a cave in the following year.
The family struggled for money so out of desperation and anger, Ed turned to petty crime. He was arrested over and over again and was eventually given a choice: Serve time in prison, join the navy or leave Pegasus for good. He chose to leave and now spends his time doing whatever work he can to make ends meet.
His primary goal is to put his past behind him and to make something decent of himself.
Gear: Ed is rarely ever seen without a battered and scuffed black leather jacket. It holds no particular sentimental value, he just likes it. He will generally also have his old plasma pistol in a holster on his hip. Besides that, he keeps the usual amount of tools needed to keep a spacecraft in at least semi functioning order.
