Personality: Aura is the very definition of reliable, always setting out to accomplish what she's said she will. Perhaps as a consequence of this, she is stubborn as a bull, staying firmly rooted in whatever beliefs she may hold with only irrefutable evidence swaying her truly held opinions. In an attempt to compensate for this, Aura takes everything she hears with a grain of salt and attempts to hear the full story before drawing an opinion. She is hesitant to put full trust in people as a side-effect of this, since she can never bring herself to take something at face value and go off half-cocked.
In a social setting she tends towards a balanced approach, not overly outgoing but not particularly shy either. She prefers to crack cheap jokes, namely puns, when she's trying to entertain, and tries to keep conversations light. When confronted with serious considerations, particularly of the future, she grows more sullen and tries to avoid the topic if at all possible. She takes her friendships as an extension of her word, and so is steadfastly loyal to her friends. As a result, however, when her trust is betrayed she can easily become inconsolably depressed for days or even weeks afterwards.
History: Aura grew up in a middle class family in the Bach Empire, more than enough money to get by without worries but not nearly enough to live the rich life. She went to school like other girls to learn History, Math and other such relevant topics, but early in her school career it was discovered that she had the talent to be a Song Knight. She was sent to the Imperial Academy at Cadenza as soon as she came of age, and soon discovered that she quite liked being a Song Knight. She picked up on her blade and instrument like a natural and became quite adept with both despite her upbringing not having been particularly focused on either.
Since coming to the Academy, she promised herself she would become the greatest of all Song Knights and dedicated herself to this purpose. She spends her days and nights studying and practicing her sword and instrument with her closest friend, Ai. Since then Aura has improved vastly, becoming more and more skilled at Swordplay and her instrument. She grew good enough at both that she was permitted to compete in the Grand Tournament, where she seeks to prove herself
Instrument and Weapons:
Swash and Buckle: Aura wields a pair of cutlasses in battle she affectionately refers to as "Swash" and "Buckle", names she assigned as a play on the nickname she was assigned. Both are kept sharp and are well cared for by their wielder, who has come to view them as an extension of her own desire.
Anna Maria: To summon her spirit and provide support, Aura plays a highly personalized Spanish Guitar with what appear to be spiral engravings covering the body. Aura's guitar is made of pure oak wood and highly stylized, so she tends to stick out in a crowd whenever she makes use of her guitar, affectionately nicknamed "Anna Maria".
Magic:
Absolute Wellspring: Aura, seemingly, has the ability to summon water from thin air and move it with her own magical energy as a defensive and offensive measure. In reality, she just has the ability to pull H2O from the surrounding air and ground, though she can't pull any water from living beings. As a result, when she's in particularly dry environments, such as a desert, her ability is of little consequence.
Other: Partially because of her ability, and partially because of her propensity to turn anywhere into a workout ground, Aura is never without a pair of water bottles on her waist.

Personality: Ai seems to be what Aura always desired to be, just as sure of herself as her partner but with none of the hesitation. Quick to make judgments, Ai will always advocate immediate and heavy action, often quoting a great military leader in saying "A good plan violently executed now is better than a perfect plan executed next week". She is loud and says exactly what is on her mind, and if you didn't know her better you'd think she didn't have a gentle bone in her body. Honest to a fault, Aura often jokes that Ai can't lie because she is purified water and not lake water.
Ai worries after her partner often, not that she'd ever tell anyone. She fears Aura's devotion to practice and slow process to trusting the word of others will alienate her from her peers. Worse, she fears that one day Aura will grow over confident and get herself hurt, or even killed. This is why Ai tries her best to keep her partner in high spirits and keeps pushing her forward, so that Aura will become good friends with others who can help Ai to protect her. This protective side of Ai easily comes out whenever Aura is in danger, but is strangely silent while Ai suggests Aura do some stunt or another to make friends.
Powers:
The Infinite Wellspring: Similar to her partner, Ai can summon the waters of the world to do her bidding. Unlike her partner, she truly can generate water from thin air. This means that her effectiveness isn't nearly as hampered in a dry environment as her partner. Also like Aura, she can shape this water and apply force to it, though she can apply much more to it than her partner could ever hope to.
Winds of Discovery: Ai also has the ability to call upon the winds for assistance in battle, unlike Aura. She can use the winds to form into cutting blades, but her primary ability with the wind is a support role. When Ai focuses on her usage of the wind, she can use them to both speed her allies but also aid their perception. Aura has always assumed it was just from the wind keeping the dust out of her eyes, but it is in fact owed more to Ai's power as a spirit than anything else. With the support of this power, its recipient should see an approximate 33% increase in their perception.
