Elias

Elias silently watched Alexis allow her emotions to overflow once more as she left the room before he turned to Marcus, his eyes narrowing. "Uncle, I understand your desire for me to accompany her, but it is a waste that I will not permit."

Marcus tilted his head to the side, obviously surprised that Elias would openly defy him. Before he could open his mouth, Elias cut in. "Wesen activity in the North is wonderful, however I am not needed. I am needed here. Something strange is happening in these parts, and you need me. Leave the Wesen of the North to the basic Grimms. I'm sure our relatives in the North can handle it just as fine. But I will not allow my talents to be wasted. I am not merely a Grimm; I'm an elite. Not one hunter has surpassed the feats me and my partner Taric accomplished; we are capable of slaying the most fearsome of Wesen that most can hardly cope with the fact of the existence of such creatures."

Marcus clenched his fists and refused to back down. "You are going with Alexis, and there are no strange Wes-!"

"Wake up, Marcus!" Elias snapped, pounding his fists on the table as he stood up, kicking back his chair. "Up until I arrived, you didn't even believe in Spriggans! Then me and Alexis found an entire pod of them, with what looks like more than one Grovemother! Alexis and I slayed two Vetalas! You know those aren't your garden variety Wesen! I encountered what I'm fairly certain are Manticore tracks during my time travelling here, and who knows what else!"

Elinora and Marcus stood in unison, both of their voices booming across the hall, demanding Elias attention. Their words intermingled into an unintelligible mess, however the tone and raw volume of their shouts shocked him into a temporary silence, his jaw and fists clenched tight.

The staredown seemed to last for centuries, however it was broken at last by Marcus' soft whisper.

"You're going. That's final."

Elias growled deep in his throat, grabbing the knife and hurling it across the table, stabbing it into the direct center of the wooden structure before whirling on his heel, exiting the building quickly as he headed out to go train.
@Vicier Oh no I don't blame her in the slightest but Leo has no idea about any of that. The only reference he has is she has expressed distaste for also because he happened to be born as a Warlock, and the only past experiences he has had with people who are bigoted towards supernaturals are the brutal hate crimes and witch hunts against supernatural that his family has defended. So while also is indeed being an asshole, he isn't really aware of the situation.
@Vicier Yeah, Leo isn't one to handle stress all that well. Between his fiercely protextive nature and his little patience with supernatural bias (he grew up protecting any and all creatures; he doesn't discriminate against any of them, and he protected a lot of them from hate crimes from humans and other supernaturals), he couldn't go without making a comment.

He'll probably end up apologizing if they ever become friends.

“I’ll ask you not to cast spells on my animals.”

Leo quickly turned to face the voice, discovering a cautious woman holding a clipboard lurking in the doorway. Her golden hair loosely framed her timeless face, giving her an odd kind of beauty that Leo couldn't quite describe. She radiated an odd form of magic, one that he couldn't immediately place, however he recognized it from another medical practitioner, Xerxes Arvantis.

Angel... The realization was quite odd; up until this point, Leo had encountered very few of her species, as only two had come through his family's Coven while he had lived there. Leo quietly observed her as her eyes darted quickly between Magnus and Leo, obviously assessing the situation.

Magnus' immediate change in demeanor confused Leo. Normally, the Druid didn't give a shit about who's toes he stepped on, but he immediate confession that he had made a mistake thoroughly concerned the Warlock. The Druid was stifling cocky, a quality that, while it did piss him off, attracted Leo to him. Magnus' mood was now that of a guilty child.

At first, Leo was incredibly confused by the situation, allowing Magnus to do the talking, however the woman, Doctor Astarte, Leo gleaned from her name tag, made a comment that Leo felt was rather unnecessary.

“..have you not done enough damage for the day...?" Leo's eyebrows raised at the comment; while he wasn't entirely certain what she was referring to, he could only assume it was regarding the attack on the pack. "Why are you even here..? What is it that you want from me...?”

Magnus' quickly left, his dejection evident on his features. Doctor Astarte obviously disliked Witches and Warlocks; that much was clear from her obvious distrust of Leo, her anger at Magnus for bringing Leo, and her reaction towards the calming spell. Leo's temper flared at her Supernatural bigotry and utter disregard for Magnus' feelings. While normally he would have relished in Magnus' discipline, the evident shame concerned Leo. With the stress and pressure of the past day building behind him, Leo couldn't stay silent. While emotional outbursts of anger weren't Leo's cup of tea, he couldn't let her get away without making a snide comment.

"Y'know, I would've thought someone like you would've been able to recognize a simple calming spell," Leo's voice was quiet yet controlled, backed by an iron will. "But what do I know? I'm just a Warlock."

Without another word, Leo uncrossed his arms and left the room, following Magnus' steps outside of the clinic and into his car. Once Leo had slid into his seat, he turned in place and propped his leg up on the center console so he could easily face Magnus.

"So, what was that all about?" Leo's eyebrows furrowed, confused by Magnus' actions. "I don't think I've ever seen you be anything but a snarky asshole." Leo smirked, attempting to lighten the mood.

Elias

Elias' fists clenched under the table, his knuckles turning white. The prospect of traveling to a distant place again, only to be met with balls and frivolity and pointless socializing... It made his blood boil.

Elias quietly cleared his throat and placed his fork on the table beside his place, swallowing hard before managing to force out the words, "Does that not defeat my entire purpose for being here?"

When Elinora and Marcus met his gaze with blank eyes, he clasped his hands firmly and leaned forward. "I was sent here to assist with the issue of Wesen overrunning the countryside. People are being terrorized in their fields and in their homes. I'm here to stop that, and sending me off to go participate in pompous vanity would entirely nullify my presence, would it not?"

The entire idea revolted Elias to the point of nausea. He could not stand filling his life with pointless events of "high society" while ignoring his responsibility as a Grimm. Elias shot an apologetic look towards Alexis before speaking.

"I'm sure you must understand, Uncle," Elias pleaded. "As Grimms we are obligated to defend the humans from the terrors of Wesenkind, and to mediate relations between humans and those of the Wesen that wish to live in peace. I cannot fulfill such duties if I am restrained by balls and other sorts of parties."

Sebastian silently toggled between biting his lip and his tongue as he listened to Cassie, nodding his head gently and clenching his jaw, attempting to keep the tears from welling too noticeably in his eyes. The terror he had experienced for years at the prospect of his friends finding out what he really was refused to let go of his heart, clenching it in a cold embrace that left him nauseated and exhausted. As the werewolf finished her speech, Seb shut his eyes tightly and silently wished the tears would stop sliding down his cheeks. Even though he wasn't in his Siren form, the salt water on his face still heeded his bidding, climbing back up his face and into his eyes, pooling under the Siren's eyelids. After a moment of complete silence, Sebastian released a long, shaky breath and opened his eyes, forcing himself to meet Cassie's loving gaze.

"Thanks, Cassie," His voice wavered with emotion, much to Sebastian's dismay. "Really. I've spent so long being afraid that... I-i just don't know how to cope with everything right now."

As Gage stepped away from Syleste, though it wasn't that much of a distance, Sebastian swallowed hard and gave the werewolf's hand a squeeze. The pair was quiet for a moment as Sebastian repeatedly opened and closed his mouth, attempting to formulate his next sentence. A small, humorless chuckle escaped his lips. Sebastian abandoned his hopeless attempt to speak about the matter further and smiled, shaking off his distressed demeanor and replacing it with a cheery vibe.

"I guess over the next few weeks, I'll get to finally teach you guys about the Supernatural world," Sebastian smiled weakly. "Assuming Zoe doesn't put you guys through Supernatural boot camp. If she doesn't, though, I think I'd like to tell you guys about what's what around these parts. While I'm not exactly as informed as Zoe, Xerxes, or Quinton, I am the only one in the group that's been doing this for more than a single day. I'm sure I can show you guys a few cool things about Klamath Falls."
@Caits Do you ever have one of those moments when you're texting someone and you wait like two weeks for them to reply and get all salty at them and then you realize you never replied?

Yeah, this is one of those times.

I'll have a post up sometime today. Sorry. :|

Elias

Elias didn't bother going back to the mansion. He needed time to himself.

The man set off through the woods, steering away from the wilds where the Sweden lurked and directed himself into the hilly countryside the peasants populated. His many years as a hunter has given him an impeccable sense of direction, allowing him to wander for hours on end and still be able to find his way back home.

The Grimm walked through fields of grain and other crops, allowing his feet to wander down trodden dirt paths and forgotten trails through the trees, eventually bringing his lost path back home.

Elias quietly snuck into the house through the back door and stole up the stairwell, returning to his room as the sun disappeared behind the trees.

The following hours consisted of fevered consciousness and uncomfortable twisting in bed, attempting to fall asleep. Every time blissful release approached, the thought of Taric's death, Alexis' love, or his own guilt would bring him back into the land of wakefulness.

The moon was well past its midpoint whenever Elias wrapped his cloak around his shoulders and left his room, stealing away to the stables where he quietly slid into Hundar's stall and curled up next to the beast's warm body, gently snuggling into his side until the comfort of an old friend allowed Elias to slip into darkness. As he fell asleep, the stable door slid open as Alexis quietly led Merle inside, undetected by Elias.

Elias

The stone-like look in Elias' eyes stood unwavering before Alexis' confession. He simply stared at her, brow furrowed, moving his gaze from one eye, to the other, and back. After a long, tense moment, he let out a long exhalation through his nose and turned away, bending over to pick up one of the fallen kunai. Once he had rightened his posture, he turned back to Alexis, his eyes slightly softer.

"I lost my entire world." The man swallowed and clenched his jaw. Another span of silence followed before he spoke again. "I'm not ready to give myself to someone else. Not yet."

His tone was soft and gentle, however there was an unmistakable reserve behind it. With that, Elias turned and retrieved the final kunai, slipping it into a pouch in his pants before turning to look back at Alexis. "As long as his grave remains fresh, so will the pain."

The only sound in the meadow was the rustling of leaves in the wind and the soft lapping of the pond's waves. Silence between the pair stretched on for what seemed like a century before Elias turned and left, heading back into the woods without another word.
