THE ZOMBIES/UNDEAD (OOC)

ZOMBIES

The Undead, or Zombies, bear strong similarity to the standard Romero Zombies, that being rotted flesh and hair, heightened primal urge aggression, hunger for fresh meat and flesh, and heightened sensitivity to sound and smell.

They will kill and devour virtually any living thing, wether it be human or animal.
They prefer living flesh, and will only eat dead flesh and rotting bodies unless they cannot find any living prey at all.
They will head out on long searches and hunt for prey before consuming a decaying corpse.

They can climb, including ladders, they can swim, and can use very basic "tools", such as using a rock to break a window or a heavy object to break down a door.

Their strength depends on how strong they were as a living human. If they were a weak person, then now they are weak in living death, and vice versa with strength.

They generally either walk fast, or trot or even jog, though this tends to depend on how decayed their body is and if the muscle mass and tendons are still in tact to allow exerted movement.

Needless to say, these are not TWD's ever predictable Walkers.

STORYLINE SKELETON

STORYLINE

The Roleplay will initially begin on the road, just short of an hour prior to the group deciding to stray down a back road shortcut to avoid condensed and sluggish traffic all the way into Vegas.
This short scene will allow for some character development and personal relationship kindling.

After 2 hours of driving down the shoddy back road, the RV breaks down and the group find themselves stranded in the desert in the dawn of night.
This will be worsened when a Zombie emerges from the darkness and attacks the group.

They will thereafter discover a sign that directs them to the countryside community hamlet of Hard Edge.

Initially thought to be either high or a group of prankster kids, the local police officer arrests and locks them up for the night and will question them in the morning.

That next morning early is when the horde converges on the town.

From there we will further write the story.

BACKSTORY OF THE TRIP TO VEGAS

VACATION BACKSTORY

It's been 4 weeks since the end of spring Semester at WTU (West Texas University), and Jack Bishop (my character) has decided to take a weeks' vacation to Las Vegas, Nevada, with his parents' permission of course.
So, he packed his luggage, pooled together his savings from this last semester, and called up his 5 closest friends from college.
They all met up at his apartment and then loaded up the RV and headed out, eager for a solid week of gambling, partying, and fast living in Las, Vegas.

While Jack is a mutual friend to everyone in this group, the diverse individuals themselves are only somewhat familiar with each other.

Jack stated that this week long trip would give the five a chance to form stronger bonds with each other as well as himself.

So, this RP is a Zombie RP centered around a group of college kids, that much is obvious.

This RP will be set in the Southwestern state of Nevada.
The initial location at first will be out in the middle of the desert, along a backroad that leads through a small little hamlet community known as Hard Edge.

The basic plot design is as follows;

A group of 6 college friends who are out for the summer decide to take a group vacation to none other than Las Vegas, Nevada.

Looking forward to an outstanding week in Vegas, the group packs up and piles into an RV loaned to them by a generous parent.

When they are just around 100 miles from Vegas, they find that part of the highway is shut down, and traffic is heavily congested on the open lanes and that traffic is moving at a painfully sluggish pace.

They soon realize that they will lose a heady amount of time, and their arrival in Vegas will be late at night, which they wish to avoid.

They spot a cutoff dirt road nearby and decide to take it, thinking that it will re-merge with the highway further along.

However, after over two hours of driving, they end up blowing a tire on the shabby road and finding themselves stranded in the heart of the desert late at night.

Worse yet, the direness of the situation only intensifies when a crazed, blood-soaked man emerges from the dark and attacks them.

Forced to defend themselves, they quickly realize much to their horror that the man is actually undead.

Zombified.

They flee down the road and eventually stumble onto the edge of a quaint little desert hamlet town named "Hard Edge".

Seeking help, they are initially seen as either pranksters or high by the locals. At least that is until the entire town finds itself besieged by a shambling horde of the walking dead.

With the town isolated in the desert and the phone lines down, the teens and the people of Hard Edge find themselves fighting for survival.

The only question is, how long will they survive, and can they escape from this nightmare of living death?....

RUNDOWN

•I need 5 other players to play as 5 of the 6 friends.
The 6th will be played by me.

•NPC's/AI's (i.e the townsfolk of Hard Edge and the key/critical zombies) will be controlled and played by me.

•After 5 people have committed/reserved a spot, the official OP Thread will be booted up, which will also include a map of Hard Edge, a rundown of the Zombies (Behavior, strengths, abilities, ect.), and other important information and notes.
Their will also be details about Hard Edge, it's people, and a backstory to the origin of the Zombie horde.

So then, I await eagerly for interest and willing participants. If you have any questions, concerns, or issues you want addressed then please hail me!
