Well the reason I ask was because I was going to try and tie it into the character's backstory. They won't have the magic, but maybe a family member did and the cult executed them for what they deemed heretical and then banished my character to Anor Londo as further punishment.

Which I was thinking could be the main reason they want to kill them all.

Of course I can also take the simpler route of a family member or friend just speaking out against the cult for following a failed system, etc.

Question about magic, but are Hexes allowed as a magic in this since it's like post DS1? Or are we following the timeline of them not existing till 2 and 3?

I wish I could say the same, but the issues are mental in nature, so it won't be an in and out thing. Even if it were, the issues would probably take years to work through...
